Defying Destiny: Lincoln Black Knights MC

Rate this book
After the tragic loss of her boyfriend Maze, Destiny Oliver was painted as a bitter snitching chick left in his wake. Though she was given the rarest honor, ‘The First Lady’ of the cutthroat motorcycle club outside of Nashville Tennessee, a lot of folks weren’t as accepting to her presence. Jealousy fueled damages are done in hopes of breaking Dez down to nothing inside and out.

Whereas her father tried to warn her that her affiliation with the Lincoln Black Knights was dangerous, she didn’t believe that all of them were creeps. The night of Maze’s homegoing celebration, Destiny is faced with the ultimate betrayal from being associated with the club. A foreign threat to the area causes a mandatory shut down to occur for all members and affiliates of the society despite her skittish behavior towards the compound.

In a heated interaction with the president, she is forced to deal with the indiscretion’s that she faced. Dez made a promise to take her secrets to the grave, but Cage has other expectations as he demands the full details. No one tells Cage no and she is no exception. When the discoveries are revealed entirely, they both are determined to defy destiny and protect the integrity of the organization as well as themselves.

Will Destiny find safety and solitude in Cage’s care or is she fated to rebel against all demands pertaining to the Lincoln Black Knights MC?

There are few books that I’ve read that are so raw and beautiful, but this one hits the ball out the park. I mean, this story is devastatingly good.

Destiny’s daughter Cage are so complex and chaotic on levels that are so entertaining that I wept. Add a supporting cast that are so well thought out and you hope and pray that they are truly real.

Be forewarned that there is content and trigger warnings of violence and sexual assault. It’s a riveting story and can’t wait to finish the series.

Awesome read!

Whew, this book was so damn good, that once I started reading it I couldn't but it down until I finished it at 3:30 a.m. This was book shows the author's continued growth and versatility with her writing skills. The storyline gives you a look in to the day to day life of motorcycle gang called the Lincoln Black Kinghts. The main character Dez went through so much heartache i n her personal and love life, that some parts broke my heart for her pain. Gage the president of the MCs is the guy you love to hate. Then you have the haters and snakes, but they all got their karma in the end. Loved Reno, Tech, Wolfe, Wood, and Big Black, and Sydney they know they love th some Dez.. I know this series is going to be a banger! If you looking for a good suspense, action, and drama filled book then this is the book for you. I promise you won't be disappointed and it is well worth the purchase.

Not a bad start.

This was a really good start to a series. We got just enough into on these characters to make you want to see what happens next. I liked Dez a lot. Her character was sweet and down to earth, but she was no push over, especially when it was really necessary. Cage is the President of the Lincoln Black Knights, a MC full of some tough characters. Being in charge is not going so smoothly when incident after incident keeps happening. He's handling everything as best as he can until he starts to realize one woman is causing trouble he never saw coming. We get lots of danger, deception and lies circling this crew, but a fiery connection that seems to be more problematic than anything else. I can't wait to see what happens next with this group. Will relationships renew, are the FBI just getting started and what retaliation will come from that meeting turned violent? I can't wait.

So good! That ending though..

This book was really entertaining. It was a lot to take in because if was so fast paced. It starts out with Maze’s death and at that time I couldn’t tell who the betrayer was but it was quickly revealed to me. There is something about jealousy that causes people to act reckless and irrational. Dagger was a coward; a grown man that was jealous of his family. He consistently had temper tantrums when he didn’t get his way. Destiny did not deserve the way Cage treated her. I get Cage’s POV but I really wanted them together, lol.. Cage was different, in a good way. He was the man and didn’t take any mess but it seems like he’s afraid of love. I liked this book a lot. The whole biker club family was different and I enjoyed reading about the gang. Can’t wait for the 2nd installment of this book! Good work!! ❤️

Honestly, this was not quite the story that I was expecting, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless. Life seemed to give Destiny lemons from the beginning to the end of this story, but she was such a strong character. She made lemonade out of the things she could and kept it pushing. I liked Cage too, but dude has issues. I would love to why he is the way he is. Good story! Good job, K. Harris!

Destiny had a lot on her shoulders, including the loss of her love. The motorcycle club has to deal with murder, a host of crimes, and a snake within their midst. The President of the club,
Cage is investigating who is behind the extra heat being sent their way, but destiny threatens to derail him.

This story moved well, had a clear plot with a nice twist or two and lots of action. The action helped to keep my interest more than the romance. You can't have a book involving an MC and not have some intense action scenes. The characters were entertaining as well. Cage was infuriating at times. I hope he gets it together in book two. I would recommend this book.

Just okay.

I have been trying to wrap my head around the feeling of being dropped into the middle of the story. From the beginning you bet the feeling something is missing and one is a discription of the characters. You don't connect with the main characters because you don't get a clear picture of what they look like and exactly who they are. This was good story, just could have been better and they way some of the subjects are handled, needs a little work. Overall not a bad way to spend reading time.

Defying Destiny

I absolutely loved this book! From beginning to end, I longed for the details of the biker life. It was interesting and adding in the many woes of life that Dez had to endure did not disappoint. Love lost, gained, and the trials and tribulations had me shedding a few tears. Great job, K. Harris!

I mean...just make me cry then

This whole story was just...rough. Emotionally you felt everything Dez was going through and for the majority of it wanted to slap Cage several times. Can’t wait for part 2.

Destiny been thru so much turmoil that nothing makes her happy anymore until mean ass cage. Cage likes her but can't see himself with her because she makes him feel things he's never have before for women. I do hope more comes from these two in the future.

I’m stuck at WOW

Defying Destiny keep me up all night saying “Just one more chapter!” This story started with a POW 💥 and a BANG! Destiny Oliver couldn’t catch any breaks in this game we call life! That didn’t break her at all! You would think the
people who’s suppose to love you the most are the ones that’s trying to break you. We get meet The Lincoln Black Knights MC and traitorous things that goes on within the club. CAGE 😍 better get his Suga honey ice tea together. Looking forward to book 2!
