Hamamelis and Miosotis are best friends. Hamamelis is very sad because one of his favorite slippers is ruined. Later, Miosotis finds that his mug’s handle is broken. What a great opportunity for both friends to demonstrate their love for each other!

Toad goes to the bustling and beautiful market and is enamored of all the sights and sounds. When he gets home he realizes he forgot to purchase his staples. It is easy to relate to this kind of distraction! I would pair this with DON’T FORGET THE BACON by Pat Hutchins. In that book, the boy’s shopping list gets all mixed up in his memory.

The kids really liked this book, it was silly and short and the pictures were super cute.
