Waiting for Milo is a story full of family drama. Violet needed a fresh start after her divorce. She came back to town and bought her nan's house. It's and old one and needed a lot of improvements. Because of that, she reunited with Milo. He was her secret admire since they were younger. And this encounter was the beginning of their insta love.

I would have liked to connect more with this story. It was an ok for me. Although, I enjoyed the moments with Milo and Violet.

Waiting for Milo by Angel Devlin is book One in The Waite Family Series. This is the story of Violet Blake and Milo Waite. Violet is wanting to start fresh after a divorce which leads her to buy her Grandmother's old home. It was a place she had good memories from so she thought this move would be the perfect for her. But she finds the house is in bad shape and she will need help getting it up to standards...this leads her to Milo. Milo remembers Violet although he thought of her as Rapunzel. Milo had thought he lost his chance with her and now that she is back he making sure he on her radar and that he will be the one to help her.
I enjoyed this instant love type romance. This book does set you up to get ready for the next couple in this series...so there is a soft cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed this book it was fun but also had a serious side to it.

Violet Blake is looking for a new start. When her nan’s old house becomes available to buy she snaps up the opportunity without a second thought. The reality is a mess. The place needs work. Lucky for her the new neighbours are looking out for her.

Milo has always had a thing for the beauty that visited her nan as a girl. Her golden blonde hair and glimpses he managed to sneak of her gain Violet the nickname Rapunzel. Years later the girl he thought got away is back. All grown up and even more beautiful. Milo’s soft spot for Violet gets her the builder she needs.

Can Milo help Vi find their happily ever after?

There is more going on in this story than building. It’s a start of a new series featuring the Waite family. This is a complicated tale with funny bits, heated moments and a juicy storyline. The chemistry is good and the witty banter had me laughing. The characters were loveable and the family is one to be invested in.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. A modern story with a fairy tale twist.

Violet needs a fresh start from her life so she buys her Nan’s house and moves. The house is a disaster and in need of a lot of repairs. Cue … Milo :) Now Milo’s been crushing on Violet from the moment he saw her as a young girl when she came to visit her Nan, so this is his opportunity to get the girl! And get the girl he does … in a seriously short amount of time in my opinion, which is one of the two things I wasn’t happy about in this book. Here’s the thing, there are a million reasons plus a lot (lol) that could have brought Violet to Milo’s orbit, but the author chose a divorce. Seems to me a woman coming out of a bad marriage wouldn’t jump into another ILY in such a short period of time. So that part had me rolling my eyes, but not enough to not love and enjoy the story over all! The second #twitchy came at the end. Seriously, I have no clue why that epilogue was even written into this book and that’s all I’m gonna say about that. Do with that info as you will! Go forth and enjoy :)

3.5 PRINCESS STARS

Violet gets her grandmother's house and goes to live there after her recent divorce. She wants to start over and she's hoping that she will achieve that in a place that she holds dearly in her memories. The house seems to be a disaster though and the previous residents destroyed it more or less. There comes the Waite family who have a constructive company and agree to help her with fixing up her house.

Milo Waite used to be in love with the princess that was locked up in the tower aka his neighbor's granddaughter that wasn't allowed to interact with them during childhood. She was always a mystery to him, but now it's his chance to meet her and make her fall in love with him and he's very persistent at it.

Rapunzel is all grown up now. She doesn't need a prince. Doesn't need rescuing. She's got this.

I think the most suitable rating for this one is 3.5 stars, because there are things that I liked and others that I didn't. I loved the family dynamic of the Waite family, of Milo's relationship with his father and his siblings and each one of them had different personality and you could seperate them like that. I actually loved his sister and I can't wait for her book! As for our heroine I liked her, but I also had a few issues with her.

So this is an insta love story more or less. It's easy to understand why Milo fell in love with her right away, since he already had this infanuation with her since he was a child. What I didn't understand is her part, because she didn't know him, she was freshly divorced and didn't want to get romantically involved with anyone and yet she succumbed. Maybe not right away, but she did and it felt like an insta love for me, because sharing feelings felt rushed and I needed more of a built up between them.

I can't help but also mention the epilogue. It felt rushed and the last scene was uneccesary in a way. It prepares you for the next book, but maybe it shouldn't happen at the epilogue? Or if it was a longer one I would understand it, but with only a page of their ending you get a cliffhanger for the next couple in the series and it's not something I'm used to seeing in epilogues of books that can be read as a standalones.

However, I really can't wait to read the next book in the series and I think I'm going to really enjoy it, since I already met these characters and they were quite enjoyable and their seperate stories seem very interesting, soooo fingers crossed!!

Absolutely full of a bit of drama this book of the family kind gripping you right from the offset, no wonder I've turned to zombie status and needed time to catch up on sleep.

Violet Blake and Milo Waite are a match made in heaven head strong gutsy individuals but with a past behind them that could pull them together or push them apart. Making us go on this whirlwind adventure unsure of which direction we are going to go.

A real must read page turner, foot stomping need more type book. Cant wait for the next one.

Waiting For Milo was a sweet insta love story about two neighbours who fall in love. It was an introduction to a new series and a whole family that had been struck by a tragedy many years ago and that one moment in their lives affected the two families involved even more than they knew.

Years laten when Violet buys her grandmas house and finally meets the whole Waite family... things slowly start to be revealed and people are forced to face their past and work through their emotions and issues all the while working on renovating Violet's new house and falling in love with her.

Milo was cute but gosh he was too much most of the time. I'm glad Violet could put up with that because if I were in her shoes I would just be annoyed. Everything he did and said was out of love,he had fallen in love with Vi even before meeting her... when she was just Rapunzel sitting alone in her tower. When Rapunzel moves back into town and he finally gets to meet her, he's overjoyed, he knows she's the one, he knows what he wants and fights for it. Gotta love a man who knows what he wants and is determinated to get it... it being Vi's heart.

I'm excited for the rest of the series. The next book sounds like it's gonna be an emotional one with the hint at the end of this book man. Looking forward to it!

Every prince wants a princess and knows they're worth waiting for.
Milo Waite has been obsessed with the girl he's called Rapunzel for years, trying his best to catch a glimpse of her in her tower whenever possible. But when the gate to the castle gets locked it looks like she'll never be rescued by him.
Fast forward quite a few years to what appears to be another damsel needing rescuing........
Violet is freshly divorced and has decided to buy a her nans old house which holds most of her happy memories. What she doesn't realise when buying it is just how much work is needed to make it a home again. She also doesn't realise just how much her arrival will mean to others, in both a good and bad sense.
This was, as expected a brilliant story, full of laugh out loud, hot sex scenes, and OMG, moments with twists aplenty!
I loved how things weren't simple, that at times things were quite complex in more ways than one.
LOVED IT and can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the Waite clan!!

What an amazing start to a new series! I was hooked from start to finish!

Milo Waite is one loveable caveman. Violet really didn’t stand a chance against him.

This book was so addictive and I’ve loved meeting Milo’s family although we are yet to meet Ezra, I can’t wait to read his story!
There’s twists and so many laughs to be had, and that ending!!! Holy wow!
I cannot wait (see what I did there lol) to read the next brothers story! I need Cal now! Addicted to this new series and I need more. This is now my new favourite Angel Devlin book! Five stars!

Waiting For Milo is a second chance, insta-love romance which has laugh-out-loud moments but a serious side which made you think too.

Violet Blake moves back to the town she spent time in when visiting her grandmother as a child, after a messy divorce. She buys the old house her grandmother owned without a second thought, which turns out to need a lot of work thanks to the previous owners. She remembers that her new neighbours, the Waite family, used to be in the building trade, although she never saw them when she had visited as a child, even though their gardens were joined by a gate.

When a chance encounter with one of the Waite offspring on move in day, she discovers they are still in the industry and offer to help her fix up her house. However, little does she know, Milo Waite has harboured a crush on her ever since he glimpsed her through the window as a child. He called her Rapunzel, as she was stuck in her tower with her long golden hair and never allowed to play with him and his siblings. He can't believe it when the one who got away returns to his town and decides he's going to take this opportunity of fixing her house to show her how much he wants her.

Can they both navigate a building site and their building attraction for one another? When family secrets are revealed, one which links them both together forever, will they be able to work past their families' pasts and come out the other side stronger and together?

Milo and Vi's story starts off as a sweet and flirty second chance insta-love romance but turns into something much deeper and meaningful as they open up to one another and overcome their pasts. Both have had trauma which has affected the way they live their lives, so to let someone in after that is difficult. I admired Vi for starting over and she wanted to prove to herself she was independent, which she was, before starting a new romantic relationship. I enjoyed how she stood up to Milo and all his antics, at times he was a bit too full on but she took it all in her stride. Milo was a lovable charming guy who knew what he wanted and wasn't going to stop until he had it. When he does open up to Vi, his personality makes a lot more sense as he's trying to cover up his feelings about his own childhood. He had a protective side which was sweet too. I think they were perfect for each other in the end!

I am so excited for the rest of this series, the Waite family have me hooked and I can't wait to read the rest of the sibling's stories!

This story was one that I was really looking forward to reading as I was intrigued by the blurb, yet here I am, thinking about how this book was great in some parts, and yet just ok in the others.
Violet comes back to town, after nasty events and she wants a fresh start at her nan's house. She wants peace and just lives her day to day life.
Milo was in love (I think I can call it that) with Rapunzel since he saw her in her tower and after long years of not being in the same place, Vi can back, and then he suddenly is in love (insta-love) which is not working with me very well in contemporary romances.
Those two will start something, there will be lots of push and pull between them, and I really enjoyed it!
Add to it tragic events from the past that will strike down in this book just to come back in their own time.
This book is a standalone, but it ended in a way that means that I need book 2!

After her painful divorce all Violet wants is a new beginning and where better than the place that holds so many happy childhood memories, so she purchases her nan’s house. The only problem is that she didn’t realize it could have starred in a renovation show on tv and she now finds herself needing some assistance.

Milo and his family run a construction business and are Violet’s neighbors. As a teenager he crushed on the girl that used to visit her nan and now that she is back in town, he is even more enchanted by the woman she has become.

He is more than happy to help her renovate her home as it will allow him to show her that her Prince Charming has only been waiting for his Princess to come home but will the secrets of the past destroy their fairy tale before it really begins?

Milo was a man on a mission when it came to Violet and he was determined to win the heart of the woman he loved, and I am looking forward to more of the Waite family.

Waiting for Milo is a charming romance. Violet wants a fresh start so she buys her grandmother's house. The house is in worse shape than she realized and enlists the help of Milo. And that's when their love story begins.

Violet has left her old life behind and is looking to settle down in her hometown. She is a little lost and wants to find herself again. Milo is so charming and kind. He works on her house after some convincing.

Angel Devlin did a great job of setting up the series. She introduced the Waite family in a way that makes you eager to read more in the series.

I give Waiting for Milo 4 stars. The story is cute but also brings the heat! I am looking forward to seeing what comes next for the Waite Family.

carino!

Waiting for Milo is a modern day fairy tale set in a small English town about a princess with short golden hair and a long independent streak and a prince with a strong body and stronger will. You will not be able to stop yourself from falling in love with Violet, Milo, and the whole crazy Waite family! 4.5 stars!!!

This book was literally unputdownable. I started at 1:30am thinking I would just read a few chapters to help me get back to sleep and then before I knew it, I had finished the book and it was 4:30am. It has been a long time since a book has pulled me in like this! Milo and Vi are EVRYTHING!! From the first page you can feel the love that Milo has for Vi. The comedy between them was great too as it added another element to the book. This is definitely my favourite book written by Angel so far, I would even go as far as to say it's her best. I can not wait for Waiting for Cal as so far I am hooked on the Waite brothers.

I loved the banter between Violet and Milo...their scenes definitely kept the story moving. There were a few times I caught myself rushing through everything else just to get back to them. Overall a great read, though I wanted to smack each of them for their stubbornness.

"Rapunzel is all grown up now. She doesn't need a prince. Doesn't need rescuing. She's got this. "
Kinda sorta 🙈

Straight up this had me rolling my eyes one minute at the absurdly impossible then laughing the next at their insane antics
Know going in this is a light-hearted romance with a small touch of angst and a whole lot of "Milo, No!"'s (you'll see)

Speaking of
Let's start with Milo.
He reminds me of my neighbor's overly excited pup.
I'm serious.
He is full steam ahead and when he does try and slow his roll its like watching your pup slide across the wood floor.
You know its gotta hurt a bit but you can't stop laughing.
Let us not overlook his extremely excitable libido 🤣 either

Then there is our sweet Violet
The girl has had a rough start on life but she's still getting where she can. Which is a good thing for the most part.
She is still running from her demons but it's okay, now that she's home her knight will lend a hand.
Even if she doesn't want one, or need one.

It was highly entertaining watching her try and manage the wrecking ball that was Milo.

This is pure enjoyment for the senses.
Far fetched fiction packed with lovable characters (looking forward to their stories), hilarious antics and a whole lot of heart-stopping sweetness

"He called her Rapunzel.
Now she’s back in a tower of her own making.
Can he rescue his princess and live happily ever after?"

Violet is determined to make a fresh start after her divorce, so when her Nan's house came up for sale, she snapped it up for said fresh start. However, the house is a straight up disaster, as it hasn't been taken very good care of, which leads her to hiring Milo Waite to help her renovate it. It's more than just a job for Milo, who had harbored a secret crush on her since she was a young girl visiting her Nan. He always thought she was beautiful with beautiful hair like Rapunzel, and she's even more beautiful as a grown woman (he's so amazing with all the beautiful he feels towards her). This story was a delightful tale with all kinds of witty interactions which kept me laughing, drama, a whole lot of heat, and an addictive story line with a slight fairy tale twist. I loved every minute of it, and am super excited for this new series! Now, it's your turn to hit that one click button to find out how it all pans out, especially since I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Waiting for Milo is kind of a modern-day fairy tale with some family drama and an instalove connection. Sometimes when you know, you just know, and that's where it is for Milo when he sees 'Rapunzel' or Violet after so many years. Now, I'm not a believer in love at first sight by any means, and instalove really isn't a trope I care much for in contemporary romance. However, Milo and Vi were so much fun that it didn't bother me here. Milo is a force to be reckoned with. He's overbearing, stubborn, and willing to do whatever it takes for a chance with Vi. He's also completely hilarious right along with the rest of the Waite clan. The story does have its drama, and it gets pretty emotional when things from the past come out, but mostly, it's a fun, engaging read with a bit of steamy goodness between Vi and Milo. This is the start of a series, and the very end of this one gives us a lead-in to the next book, which I'll certainly be waiting for. All in all, this first book is a good start to what promises to be an entertaining series.

I did enjoy this book, but I feel like so much more can and will happen, Can not wait for this series to continue. It had its up and downs like every book and characters do it. I love the cover of this book as well. It has some interesting twists and turns to it.

My Rating: 3.5/5 stars!

** An ARC was provided in exchange for my honest review **

Okay. This was honestly an adorably cute read. Yes, it’s an adult romance but it’s definitely more on the tamer side when it comes to the physical stuff (or at least the way the author has described those scenes.. the steaminess is on the down low).

Besides it being an adult romance book, the story centers around Violet and Milo who were somewhat childhood next door neighbours. Milo Waite and his family lived next door to Violet’s grandmother who she would spend time with whenever her parents were unable to care for her. Although Milo and his siblings were all similar ages to Violet, they never played together, let alone see each other on the account of his father and her grandmother having some issues with one another and never letting the kids hang out. Ever.

But that never stopped Milo and Violet from ever being curious about the other. Now years later, all grown up, Violet buys her grandmother’s old rundown house and realises that the Waites still live next door. And that’s when things start getting interesting.

My very first impression of this book was… funnily enough how British it sounded. Lol. I’ve read quite a few books set in England with characters who are English but this would have to be the first book that totally and completely oozed characters from there. The way these characters speak — as in the slangs they use had me a little stumped. Haha. As an Aussie girl, who’s seen plenty of movies, tv shows and books set in England, not once have I felt like I needed one of those translations books you buy before going on a holiday in a foreign country so I could look up words and sayings until I came across this book.. *hangs head in shame* Hahaha.

Don’t get me wrong, in no way did it put me off reading it. If anything it was a little amusing trying to figure what the hell they were talking about. I mention this only because anyone who ends up reading Waiting For Milo and is also taken aback by this, don’t be put off, because I guarantee before the book is over you’ll actually get the lingo. Trust me! 😉

Okay. Secondly, whilst this was a love story overall between two neighbours, there’s a deeper and more serious subject matter within that makes their budding relationship more complicated. There are issues discussed within; such as abandonment and infidelity, as well as struggles and effects families go through having experienced these situations.

Milo Waite may come off as a happy go lucky type of guy when it comes to Violet and his siblings, but when it comes to his sad past, he tends to hide his feelings.

But the more Violet and Milo get reacquainted, the more they can’t avoid their pasts and the effects it has on both their families. There’s both light and shade within this story, which gives their relationship all the more a realistic and relatable feel to it. There’s always hurdles every couple goes through and sometimes some have family drama. Violet and Milo just happen to be one of those couples going through that.

I enjoyed getting to see snippets of Milo’s siblings and getting some kind of idea on what I could expect from them in this series. I like that there’s some strong personalities in the bunch that there’s bound to be some very interesting love stories to come.

And whilst Violet comes into this story lacking any sort of friendship, by the end she’s got some pretty solid girlfriends (ones who add some very girly comic relief throughout). There’s a smorgasbord of supporting characters in this book, that you will not have any trouble finding one that peaks your interest *wink wink* 😉

Although Violet and Milo’s relationship is a rollercoaster, it was a relatively well-paced book. At first it seems like it was almost love at first sight (at least in Milo’s case) when seeing Violet, but the growth in the relationship was evident and steady. There’s hesitation, wariness, and issues with trust.. but there’s also patience, protectiveness and friendship. The realism was there, people!

This was a sweet introduction to the Waite Family series. In all honesty, as much I liked reading Milo and Violet’s book, I already have my eye on a couple of the other siblings’ stories. Hehe. A great read! Who would’ve thunk it? — That a band of brothers (and sister) working as tradies for their family contracting business each find love? An everyday setting that’s surprisingly refreshing.

Buona lettura Kelly
