Best book of the series this far!!! This was the WOW factor I was looking for in this series. It was very twisty and for once I didn't figure it out. I knew something was going to happen but wasn't sure what or who was going to do it. Anton and Violet had TONS of chemistry they were HOT together. I am a sucker for mafia romance though so this was right up my alley. I definitely think the next book will be good and I am going to read it.

Great book love it. Received a copy from the publisher for

Violet was having a bad day: someone robbed her money, stole her guitar, and then she is invited to meet the mob. Can she sing her way out of this?

Violet holds many jobs and many of them relate to singing. One of them is at a Russian bar where the visiting mafia dons hold their meetings. All Violet does there is sing though, until one night she is called over to a table to meet with people you do not say “no” to.

The next thing she knows she is kidnapped in the middle of the night. Her kidnapper

This is an interesting, slightly dark mafia romance with mild mythology undertone & it can be read as a standalone. The plot is well-paced & intriguing with some unexpected surprises & situations, there is some good scene descriptions. The complex characters are quite well-developed & portray realistic emotional feelings although one of them is quite naïve in the beginning of the story but continues to mature throughout the story-line while the other one is determined to resist ...more

I was looking forward to read Violet’s story after reading Sapphire and Black.
I loved Violet’s character development throughout this book. Anton and Violet had an instant chemistry that neither of them could resist.
The storyline was kind of predictable and not as dark as expected for being labeled as a dark romance. It also felt a bit rushed towards the end. But with author’s compelling writing, it was still interesting and more than enjoyable read!

I did enjoy the plot to this book, although it was fairly predictable and I saw both the twists coming.

However, there were so many mistakes (quoting British money as pounds and a lot of American words which Brits just don't use) and no continuity that I was frustrated throughout most of the book. I don't really like third person books, I just don't feel a connection to the characters as you're not seeing it from their point of view. I did like Violet's character though, I thought she was well

Violet is the third in a series, but can definitely be read as a standalone, as the author provides enough background information. I have now read all three of the first three books in this series and I liked this one the least, but it still was a good read that held my interest. The story revolves around Violet, the youngest of the three Black siblings. She winds up getting involved with the Russian mob (the "Bratva") through a rather predictable connection. The first two books were subtitled ...more

4 1/2 Riveting Stars!

Well written mafia romance that had something above and beyond others in this genre.
Descriptive, with smooth character development as the storyline was easy to follow and intriguing.
Violet’s emotions and character showed through with her beautiful talent in song and composition as well as her deep attachment to her siblings and even her beloved guitar. All little details that enhanced and brought an added depth to her personality.
Intense, passionate scenes with Anton that

Violet is a struggling singer in London when she catches the eye of Anton, who is in the mafia. Anton then kidnaps her in the middle of the night. This is a fast-paced read with steamy chemistry and an entertaining story, this is part of a series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Loads of drama and suspense and the characters have lots of layers. I was hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it.

Pleasantly surprised

I happened to stumble on this book while looking at another author. I looked at the first two in the series and wasn’t interested, but the description said it could be read as a stand-alone. I’m glad I took a chance on this book! It was much better than I thought it would be. I can’t wait for book 4 to come out. I am not sure I will go back and read the others but we will see.

Violet the Musician and Her Bratva Alpha Rock the Underworld

The Colors of Crime mafia series continues with Violet and Anton who is the second-in-command to a mysterious older man. The chemistry between them was unexpected and somewhat forbidden. Filled with intrigue, action, a big surprise twist, and passionate love, this smashing mafia story is one for mafia lovers' TBR shelf. Interestingly enough in mythology, Persephone was picking violets when Pluto took her to the Underworld and here we

Violet worked in this Russian bar where she had a standing job as a singer. She lives with her roommate Mischa in a London flat in a not to good part of the town. She had a gig at the Bond Street Station where she sang and played her guitar for extra money. She sang on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00. She had to audition for this position, it wasn't just allowed. She was their one afternoon when someone stole her money, and in the midst of running after the thief she left her guitar a

Violet!!

I was really excited for Violet to get her own book, she's been one of my favourite characters since seeing her in the last book.

Her story took a slight turn that I was not expecting, but did enjoy. I liked Anton and his back story, although I do wish we got to hear more about from him. He was a typical alpha and even when he was intimidating, Violet was still her stubborn self. I enjoyed seeing Violet as more than just Black's little sister and more of her as her own person, from her

Violet can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the previous book prior to this one since past characters come to play in this book.

Violet is the third book in the Colors of Crime series and so far was my FAVORITE!!! This is an easy & quick read. Be ready for a story of lust, betrayal, suspense, and one screwed up family. This story is is fast paced and will keep you begging for more. Violet & Anton have a chemistry like molten lava, it’s dangerous but beautiful.

Violet was a woman that danced to her own tune, music was her life and every day that she played her old guitar and sang was a good day. Then she met the man she would soon call father, a Russian Bratva and head of the Bratva in Paris. With him was his second, Anton, a man who would later become her husband. This was a story full of drama, jealousy and death to those who would usurp the natural order

3.5 stars for this even Russian Mafia Romance...

Even Russian Mafia Romance somewhat predictable and light on the captive cred of which is compensated by the taboo, over the top, steamy connection and chemistry between the H and h. The intractable pull between Violet and Anton is what holds sway over the reader here with their relationship providing the sustainable legacy of this tale. An impressive scene of violence and action usually inherent in the genre ends up providing an example of the
