I will admit that I cringe a little every time another comedian / tv personality decides to try their hand at writing ‘funny’ books for children. Some can pull it off....others cannot.
I will also admit that even though I have worked with children’s books for a long time......I can still be surprised as to what appeals to them, especially in the humour department. saying that, this is my review...... and as an adult.....
1. I give a whole star for the fact that Mr McManus illustrated

A fantastic book! Eventhough it was written for children, I found it entertaining and funny. I also appreciated how it tries to teach the value of perseverance and not giving up. The pictures in the book makes the story more interesting, which is especially helpful for anyone who gets bored easily of just seeing words. If you are looking for a book for a child to read, I couldn't recommend this more (and some adults like me will enjoy it as well!).
