Claire and Sam, needed to get out of the big city and live a quieter life in the suburbs. They found a development with a house so inexpensive that it was almost to good to be true.
Strange things were happening, being followed, no children in the area.

Fast paced, engaged, made me curious at the beginning as to what was coming. Characters are well written and the story flows smoothly. I personally like Sam having early onset dementia, I work in the healthcare field and this is one of life's terrible diseases that many people don't even know about and I hope raises more awareness for people. J.D. did a great job describing his mind deterioration and the emotions running wild. Frustration, anger, fear and the effects on the loved ones caring for

Finely-crafted and intelligent, this is one terrific thriller.
It's tightly-plotted, fast-paced, and very suspenseful.
All the characters are well-drawn, especially the lead.
Her backstory is interspersed throughout with events from her childhood that add real emotional depth.
This story is fantastic and the writing exceptional.
Utterly absorbing from the beginning all the way to it's out-of-this-world ending!
I'm not one of those long-winded reviewers who practically give away the whole story.
