From Goodreads:

He is Lord Reynald de Mortimer, a powerful warrior of the thirteenth century who defended his castle against his fiercest enemies. Now Reynald has awakened from a seven-hundred-year sleep to find that his beloved home has been turned into a modern hotel. Worse, it is host to a medieval festival Before Reynald can begin to contemplate his fate, a stunning beauty comes to his rescue . . .

Amy Fairweather is not your typical damsel. Nor is she in distress. As a former con artist, it'll take more than a breathtaking giant in armor to convince her that he's "the" Lord Reynald . . . even if he does set Amy's nights ablaze with passion and magic. But then strange, inexplicable things start to happen at the hotel, and she has no choice but to believe that the Ghost "has" emerged from the shadows of time. And now he must seek redemption by facing his greatest threat . . . with the unquestioning love of one extraordinary woman by his side.

My review:

The "Ghost" "died" in 1299, but he was kept alive somehow. He wakes up 700 years later in his castle that has been turned into a hotel. The book is about him finding out what happened 700 years ago that caused his and his people's deaths. He needs the help of Amy to traverse the modern era and to have a hope of returning to his place in time.

A favorite quote from this book, that just seemed to be telling me what someone may think, who has experienced time travel is:

"He didn't understand these people. They rushed about blindly, with never a moment to spare. Their cell phones rang, they had to check their e-mail, they had to network. Ridiculous words Amy had taught him. She said that they were frightened, that if they stopped rushing, they might have to think. And if they had to think, then they might realize how empty and pointless their lives were.

I loved this book. I think I have found a new author to collect books from. I love historical romances, fiction, time travel, paranormal and this book combines them all in one. I loved the fact that the "romance" didn't happen until over half the book was read and it was just an understated part of the story. It was defiantly not just gratuitous sex. I also love books where the H/h get married.

This book was the third in the series, but I didn't know that when I bought it. It was able to stand on it's own without depending on the books before hand. From what I understand, the other two books involve separate time periods from each other.

Reynald de Mortimer died in 1299, he slept in the between-worlds for seven hundred years until a witch awoke him. She told him she wanted him to right some wrongs. It turned out he needed to learn some very important lessons. Good story line, surprises that kept me interested and reading till the wee hours.

“Stay by me.”

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this since it’s contemporary, but it was actually really good! A 700-year-old king in his own kingdom brought back to life by a witch to right his wrongs and fire-breathing dragons - what more could you want?

This one definitely makes me want to go out and by the first two books of the series!

Lord Reynald de Mortimer, died in 1299 and has been between the world for over 700 years when he is brought back to life to thrown into modern times. His castle looks nothing like it was when he died, the witch who brought him back told him he has to right the wrong that killed him. To help him is a girl named Amy Fairweather.

Amy is at the castle to help her brother Jez (a thief) to steal a diamond from a Russian Prince. Amy has helped Jez many times over the years but this time it does not seem right and she does not really want to do the task, especially after meeting Rey.

It takes her awhile to belive Rey's story of him being THE Lord Reynold returned from the dead.

I would have liked to have seen a little more of their life once they returned to past. With this return to the past with a mate it would have changed history and I would have liked to have seen an idea of what that would have looked like too.

Read the Immortal Warriors series for the first time. I actually enjoyed reading it and it was quite funny in some spots. Characterization was interesting and the inner turmoil Lord Reynald felt over Amy's qualities seemed to be a minor issue although it would've been nice if it was a more interesting reason to waver over since he 'got over it' rather quickly.

I like covers that depict the actual characters of the novel as described and for some strange reason the characters on the cover are not the same as the ones described in the novel.

Overall, I'm interested to see what happens in the other novels in this series.

This is story about a warrior who is sent forward in time by a witch. He is trying to figure out what he did wrong in the past that caused his clan to be betrayed and attacked. Of course, the witch sets him up to meet a woman from the future to help him. They fall in love and she helps him figure out what went wrong in the past.

Sorry to disagree with previous reviews, but I thought if was a waste of time. I'm a little leery of time-travel books anyway, and found this one a poor example of it. So she went back to 1299 with him -- good.

I really enjoyed this book. It's the only one I've read from the series but I loved that at the end SM gives you a look at the other two novels with an update on how they are doing. It was a fresh take on ghost's and time travel and like I said I really enjoyed it.
