4.5 stars for this red hot, pet-play book
Measha Stone sure does know how to write a hot and steamy pet-play book. If you've read any others in the series you will know what to expect, and this is another great addition to the series. Whilst some aspects are similar to the rest of the series because - duh! - pet play, each book has it's own romantic suspense elements, the characters have their own back stories and the issues the couples face make each book very different.

Learning
This is the last book of the Owned and Protected series and I have enjoyed each book. I had very little knowledge of pet play but this has been a learning experience of the why's and ways of this part of the BDSM lifestyle.
This book is more about the lifestyle. The characters are developed and solid. The plot a little softer than some of the previous books. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading BDSM stories. ...more

Out of the books in this series, this is my favorite one so far. Dax has to protect Erika when she stumbles onto a mob related crime. She is a strong, independent and feisty woman who is too stubborn for her own good at times. And even though she struggles to submit to Dax, I loved his patience with her while she was learning. Pet play isn't my thing in real life but I love reading it and Ms. Stone did a very good job with it. The connection between Dax and Erika is off the charts and I was tota

A nice slow burn that exploded with passion
Measha does it again with her latest installment of Owned and Protected series. Dax is a brooding dark individual who has pain in his past. Erika is like a bulldog when it comes to finding a story. This gets her in trouble with Dax and he winds up having to protect her. While in his protection, she learns more about herself and Dax finds out what a treasure he has on his hands. A fantastic story filled with lots of hot sex and kinky play. A++++ Measha.

Dax was cynical and dour but when he saved Erika from the mob he was gentle and caring. He recognized her submissiveness and guided her into being the perfect pet. There were a couple of punishments that made me cringe and wonder why Erika would allow him to do that, but he understood her so well he knew the effect it would have. Catching up with Devin and Addison and Trevor and Kara was good too.

Below is my opinion; take it for what it's worth.
Measha Stone writes two types of books in this genre: consensual (The Windy City quartet and Suspicion), and rape (Kristoff). The latter is not the romanticized "non-con" or "dub-con" or "dark" or whatever people are calling it, but actual rape, as in physically and psychologically damaging to the heroine and, yes, the so-called "hero" does perpetrate it. In addition to my dislike for that particular book, some of her other books in the Owned and ...more

Erika was trying to do her job as a journalist, but bringing herself in danger and in the path of Dax.
When she sees something what wasn’t for her eyes and she is in danger of the mob, Dax takes her out of town to a cabin of a friend.
Since she is always looking for a story, she wants to write about this special resort, but Dax doesn’t think that is a good idea.
But he gives her something else to write about, her own experience as his pet. What happens next, Erika didn’t know she would like and be ...more

Our heroine is a reporter, which means probing where people don't want you to look. So when she gets the dirt of a mob boss, suddenly she has a big target on her back.
This is book six of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.

Another great pet play story from Measha Stone. We can always count on a story that involves some danger and a lot of training, punishments and pet play. This one is no different except we have a reporter with an inquiring mind, sassy attitude and disobedient, natural submissive. Erika has witnessed something she shouldn't have and Dax, a security expert decides she needs to hide away with him as her protector until the danger passes. Dax is a former military and always dominant who takes Erika ...more

Best of the series!
Loved, loved, loved this story! Dax and Erika are the main characters and both are very strong minded individuals so one would think they wouldn’t mesh very well, but they most definitely do. Dax runs a nightclub with his brother but knows there must be more to life, but because of his loyalty, he feels he needs to stay. Then one night something happens and he meets Erika. She is a very inquisitive woman and he knows he needs to take her in hand. But will she go willingly? Can ...more

This is the sixth book in the Owned and Protected series but it can definitely be read as a stand alone. If you've read the other books in this series you might recognize some characters but the story is totally independent of previous books. However, the book has a common theme with the others in this series and that is pet play. So if that's not something you like, I'd recommend skipping the book. If you have no objection to pet play, then please read it as Dax tries to help Erika understand w

I really like Measha Stone books. Always guaranteed to be a fun read, and she again delivers in Training His Pet. This is the story of Erika, a nosy and somewhat stubborn reporter, and Dax, a dominating, stern ex-military type, who works in security. Needless to say they clash and it’s just so delicious to watch the events unfold.

3,5 star
Book 6 in The Owned and Protected series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Some characters from the previous books pop up, but you will be fine if you haven’t read the other books.
This is the story of Erika and Dax. Both of them carry around scars from the past, they may be not visible but they determine their action nevertheless.
This books also has some great pet play scenes which I am a fan off and I enjoyed reading about Erika’s journey into submission.

Always after the story
This author just has a knack for putting her characters into situations where they make the deepest connections and then one, or both, makes a decision that causes them to lose it all. This book was so good and then one, seemingly little, action causes the destruction of everything they had built. I was in mourning because I really thought there was no hope for the HEA, but I should have had more faith in the author. Somehow, she managed to pull a HEA out of total destructi ...more

Willing obedience sizzles. With every Owned and Protected release, I fall more in love with the characters and the storyline. Dax and Erika are a wonderful addition, and you are guaranteed to need a cold shower or maybe even several. This one tugged at and melted my heart - it is full of romance, intrigue and miscues that threaten to derail the relationship, and enough chemistry to set your Kindle on fire. This author brings me to my knees with her writing, and I’ll willingly stay there for anot

Training His Pet (bk 6) M. Stone
I enjoyed this book as well as the rest in the series. The first time I came across pet play was in a BDSM book. I was intrigued not hooked or even sure I would enjoy it but I did. It is hot, sexy and intriguing. The romance that unfolds when people explore who they are and their desire's is steamy on it's own but when the leading man supports the goals and dreams of his partner it adds to the sexy factor 10 fold. Can't wait for the next book. Truly enjoyed it. T ...more

I loved this story its so full of emotions with so much feeling and it goes deep, Dax is about to show the troublesome stubborn Erika who never backs down his world and what it involves and she really takes a look at herself both being so strong willed you never know what shes going to do next. I love the pet play its fascinating and so loving. These characters are intense at times but loving all at the same time and so wonderfully written it sucks you in and I really enjoyed it.

Oh Ms Measha!
You know how to push all the right buttons to make one squirm in her/his reading chair!
With the usual slow-burn beginning this latest tale of pet training takes us on a progression of scenes that sizzle, burn, and explode off the pages!
Thank you for another foray into a kinky wonderland!

Erika's introduction into the the world of BDSM!
by sewsummore
Erika was reporter, determined to write a story that would put her by-line on the front page of her newspaper instead of in the society pages. After several aborted attempts to get close to the Persuccio Crime family, she witnessed a man beaten by one of the brothers at the back of the Velvet Club. Unfortunately she was seen and it was only thanks to Dax, one of the club's owners, that she was able to escape. Jax had warned Erika ofthe ...more

This latest installment in the Owned and Protected series is, of course, heavy on ‘pet play,’ in keeping with the major lifestyle theme of the series. The kink parts of the book are very intense, to put it mildly. I have read other books in the series and there was still a scene in this one that shocked me. Remember that this is a work of fiction; it is not a manual about how to live a BDSM lifestyle of any type or to any degree.

Loving the Owned and Protected Series by Measha!
Erika is a reporter looking for her big break with a story on a crime family boss that frequents an exclusive club managed by Dax and his brother. Erika gets in to the club, but is almost immediately sent home by Dax to not witness what is going on in a private room. But Erika returns to the club via the alley and witnesses a scuffle that Dax stops and discovers Erika. While Dax brings Erika home, he receives a phone call from his brother about the ...more

First of all, let me say, I just love the "Owned and Protected" series so you know I was really thrilled when this one became available to me. Erika is a journalist who is always chasing the next big story. She's tired of covering the society fluff pieces and wants her own bi-line in the paper. The story she's trying to break into concerns the mob and takes her to an exclusive club that is nearly impossible to get into without being on the list. She just needs to find a way to get her name add
