The genre of this book is a football book and it is book 2 in the Jamie Johnson series. I found the book quite good but not as good as the first book. The story is quite page turning as at the start Jamie is in a football match where there are scouts for him but Jamie has a bad game so they end up scouting Jamie arch enemy so it’s about Jamie being sad and then he gets scouted for the hawks. I recommend this book for anyone who likes football but it is still a interesting story if you don’t.

I loved this book.
It has everything, from being treated badly to being bullied, but still rising to be a star. It has every challenge a player would face to get toan elite level from the mud. Although, he lost the cup final he put up a hell of a performance, and got signed by a professional club at the ageof 14, and not any club, foxborough, the best team in the country.

I would recommend anyone to read this, especially people who want to be a footballer.

Another great book by Dan Freedman. Loved it. This time he is playing for Kingfield School in the Cup semi-final, and scouts from his favourite club, Hawkstone United, are coming to watch! This is Jamie's big chance. He's determined to shoot to win! But there are some people who don't want Jamie to achieve glory. However something happens ....

The book I read titled 'Shoot To Win' written by Dan Freedman was so interesting that it made me read 2 parts out of 5 moreover it solved my own personal interest... As I'm a Football player so I must say that It is an Inspiring read for all Football Fans. This book shows the struggle of Jamie Johnson To become a Professional Footballer as he was 14 and this was the only time he could be selected by a Football Club.
This book is about the challenges any player faces before he takes the lead.

Simply extraordinary. Great read for football fans across the world and I loved it. I found this book in the library thinking it would be some boring “oh some under dogs get into a cup final and win” sort of book. It was much, much, more than that. In a great way.

'Jamie was in shock. His mouth hung open. The coach couldn't just take him off the team!'

It's the Interschool Cup and scouts from the best teams are coming to watch! Jamie wants to show off his skills, but when a new coach comes, will his dreams of becoming a professional footballer fade away?

This book was not as good as the first book. Although it was still good, it did happen a bit too fast at some points. The way the author described it in such detail made me want to read on. This book is definitely for people who love football books. I would rate this book five stars.

This book was absolutely amazing.Even as a soccer fan,I did not know what to expect after borrowing this book from the library. However, when I started reading,I got pulled into the book and never wanted to miss any part of it.It was as if I was witnessing the events live.Through this book,I learnt that we should have a dream and work extremely hard for it,and more often or not,we will get success.I look forward to reading the other series.

Interesting plot, loads of angst with some interesting twists and turns. I felt like by the end of the book I slightly understood football (soccer) more including random words I didn't understand before. For example: boots are soccer shoes.

Jamie Johnson's coach hastes him. The grudge goes back years. Jamie knows he has the potential to be a premiership soccer player - but will he ever get the chance? Realistic, gritty, great characters and fast-paced style. Great read!

2 stars because it wasn't great. It was boring and down right weird at some points. Not recommended.
