I had my introduction to The Black Swamp mysteries by P M Terrell through Vicki’s Key and I knew it would not be my last. These are my kind of stories, filled with murder, mystery, intrigue and dastardly villains…oh, and a little lovin’ never hurts. 🙂

Chris and Brenda’s meeting…was it Karma?

Assumptions early in the story took me down the wrong road and it didn’t take long before P M Terrell sent me on a different track.

The cops are on their trail, but Alex has

I loved this mystery or I should say mysteries. Exit 22 has a very intriguing start - a double murder. So right away Ms. Terrell has grabbed my attention - who was killed and why? But that's not the only mystery that you get to try and solve. Chris, a man who has been living his political career rather than have a life has no idea what he's in for when he rolls his car. He meets Brenda, a woman who captivates him but just might be the death of him and just might have something to do with the dou ...more

Exit 22 was a powerful mystery and suspense. It had me gripping my seat the whole time. I was excited and nervous at the same time when they were being chased. My heart was racing and I couldn't put the book down. It's suspense and thrilling action kept me turning the pages and wanting to find out what happens next.

P.M. Terrell did an amazing job capturing my interest and getting me hooked in the story. I was completely absorbed. I rarely read suspense and mysteries but this one was

Exit 22 is the first book in P.M. Terrell’s Black Swamp Mysteries series. It is a really good mystery with some very interesting characters. All of the characters are great but I was fascinated by the assassin. Who makes an assassin who relaxes after his “job” by knitting baby booties for his granddaughter? P.M. Terrell that’s who! He is a brilliantly written character that you find yourself disgusted with but at the same time intrigued by.

This is one of those books that I wish had a

This was an excellent book to set up the Black Water mystery series. I don't know anything about the other books in the series, but I would hope that they continue on with the same story thread. I very much enjoyed reading a book that was set in my hometown, and I hope that some of the same characters continue on in the other books in the series (which I will now have to get). I don't want to give anything away, but I found the descriptions of my hometown to be very accurate, and also the portra ...more
