Aaaand, she's done it again. Ms. Daniels has provided me with an exceptional follow-up to book one, and leaves me wanting book three, erm, like NOW!!!

Infiltrated is the second book in the Daywalker Academy series, and it continues on from book one, so you should really read them in order. Besides, if you don't, you miss out on a whole book of Zoltan, and no one wants that, trust me!

Franky starts off by trying to get to grips with what has happened and by pushing everyone away. Astara refuses to let her and sneaks under Franky's guard when she's not looking. Fenrir still makes me smile whenever he's on the page, although Leo is sneaking up there too. As for Zoltan, yep, I'm a goner. I adore him "even" when he's being a jerk to Franky (which is most of the time!)

I won't say any more about the story as I really don't want to ruin it for anyone. What I will say is Franky's sass is still there for all to see, even considering what she's been/going through. The plot thickens and deepens, and you will find yourself rooting for our crew as they battle only knows what!

A fantastic second book that I definitely, highly recommend. Just, no Zoltan, okay? He's mine!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

This series just keep getting better. It is an edge of your seat ride from page 1. The tension keeps building. You want to know who Franky can trust.

I love these characters. They bonded and became a family so quick. I love the humor Maya always includes in her stories. This one left us with some twist that has me tapping my fingers waiting on #3!

The Portals

Book 2 of The Daywalker Academy was so good I read it in one day.
Franky and her friends go through the portal into the human realm. Here they encountered their enemies but once they return, they find many more of their comrades dead. There is so many twists and turns in this book leaving the reader wondering what will happen in the next segment. It was quite thrilling to read.

This series is amazing!!! The characters and the plot are just awesome. Make sure you have time when you start it because you can't put it down. It is page after page action, and this is no YA book. It is so steamy it will melt your kindle. I love Frankie and Zoltan they are so hot together and they are my favorite couple, but Frankie won't admit it yet.. Now that everyone knows how special and powerful Frankie is, she has to be protected!!!! Half-bred my butt lol she has more power than any of them. When they go into the human realm they meet the hunters. These are no regular hunters, they have magic (dark magic) which can turn paranormal creatures feral. This will be a battle of life and death. Can Frankie do what is needed to save them all? Or will it be to much even for her? Omg.... Wait until the end and you see who comes through the portal. Family friends, lovers can any of that be true??? It's good against evil who will win?? Absolutely a spectacular series, and my favorite series of any I have read!!!

The 2nd book in the Daywalker Academy series, Infiltrated starts off with where the first leaves off. What will Frankie have to do now that she has been forced into being a ‘student’ at the academy? What about the attraction between her and Zoltan? That growing need to be with him is getting stronger with each day and she is finding it harder to resist.
Will she be able to overcome and control her new founded powers? Can she come to terms with such an epic betrayal from someone she thought of as a friend and minor father figure? How can she help save everyone and keep more people from dying?
This book is action packed from the start. Mystery, mayhem, death, destruction, and of course a love attraction growing fast and hard enough to melt your socks off. You will not want to put this book down.

This book is packed with action! Franky can barely recuperate or catch her breath before the Academy is under attack again! Now, looking for their spy is top priority, but the twists keep everyone on their toes. Looking forward to the next book.

What a cliffhanger!
Franky was up the creek without a paddle before, now she's got no boat, it's pitch black and there's a major storm brewing!
More people are being murdered and when Franky finally gets to cross over to the city, hords of hunters are on the attack. Trying to figure out who is leading them and why leads them all to a cliffhanger where Franky has to choose; her heart or her home! Epic!

Well.....the ending.... I don’t like cliffhangers!! Not even said when the next is coming out!!

When I started the series I had no idea to what was I’m poking in. I didn’t know the author and nothing from her. I stopped reading reviews bc it always influences my feelings towards the book. So I go blind and till this day I can’t complain.

Sorry for all mistakes in this review, but I’m typing from my phone.

Anw, my review:

I feel that Francesca changed in this book, grew. I think in the first book she was “wilder” I like the writing, book has not even 300 pages and I have there everything.
I’m a bit disappointed that I still didn’t get the sex scene which I’m really looking for, considering the tension between both characters. Zoltan has such a claim on Franky, the jealousy in his voice when she said she drank Fenrir’ blood. I like Fenrir, he truly love her. At least that’s how it looks to me. Alto have to agree on one thing w Andrius, why only shifters and demons should do be a “grading dogs”, where is the equality? All should have the same rights, like Vamps are nothing more than other spices, and hybrids?! But this is not the way it should be dealt with.
In this book, there was anything that would surprise me, like I was waiting another traitor which turned out to be Alex, I was waiting his betrayal and when Franky realize it. I like that Franky is really smart and funny her own way.
I guess in the next one the gang is gonna save Zoltan and finally we will get a proper sex scene. While in human realm I saw that Franky started paying attantion on Fenrir’ behavior toward her. I love Zoltan, but Fenrir deserves a credit too. And I think Franky should appreciate it. I know she thinks that he is doing it for his life, since she is bound to Soren and if she dies everybody dies, but aside that she should finally open her eyes and I have a inching feeling that in 3 book she will open her eyes. I hope at least.

Anw, I give the book 4 of 5 bc of few other thing that annoyed me through out the book.

Again, sorry for mistakes and I hope you understand everything or at least something.

Franky and her crew are back in the second installment of the series. Now that they know just how special Franky is and will be to others, they have to protect her at all costs. Her vampire and Fae sides make her a strong warrior, but the dragon in her makes her most fierce! The group travels to the outside realm to try to find answers. But they only get into more trouble! The Hunters have a new weapon they are using against the supes. They are also coming out in hordes. When they finally return to the Academy, they discover more people being killed. A person they believed friend turns out to be the enemy and is after Franky. A huge fight ensues and Franky and Zoltran have some hard decisions to make. Which will it be? These answers and more are in this second book and it ends in another cliffhanger! Ms. Daniels brings us into another episode of Franky’s world. It is action packed and we will see Franky become stronger and more confident. Her powers will start coming out more and her wicked moves! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

I can at least say this book is less confusing. This was was better then the first book. Seeing as how both books left on a cliffhanger it looks like I have to wait for book 3 to see how this ends.

Ps how does a half vampire/ fae hybrid turn into a dragon?

Ahhh-mazing!

Whaaaat just happened! OMG that ending. That gave me chills. I love me a good urban fantasy and this one did not disappoint.

Franky and the gang are back and the drama continues to unfold. The body count continues to rise, new threats emerge and they realize they are no closer to finding the answers they seek

Infiltrated is the second book in the Daywalker Academy series. The action is non stop, the romance smoldering, and the storyline is so intense you can’t put it down.

Overall, I thought It was fantastic read

Franky is so out of her comfort zone, she's still trying to make sense of this weird Academy, that's how she sees it anyway. It's supposed to be a safe place, a place for all supernaturals to learn, to become Daywalkers. But much has been kept from her, and when she finds out the truth, well, she has a typical Franky moment. Which is being impulsive, impetus and a classic "leap before you think!" Which sometimes works out, other times, wellll... not so much. I do enjoy her character, she's held everyone at arms length, a loner who thought she had it all figured out, except that everything was a lie so she has lots of questions. She's also in danger, real danger, and no one knows from whom or the reason. People around her are dropping like flies, everyone seems out to get her, except for a select few who are trying to keep her safe, the same few she has issues trusting. Her entire being reacts to Zoltan, which she's hellbent on denying and leads to some very interesting scenes, and I can't wait to see how it develops. Zoltan gets my heart aflutter and I'm not even in his presence, sexy, cool, hot, protective, honourable, yep, a Vampire I definitely could take home.

I love Astara, she's so awesome, a true friend to Franky, her only friend and as seasoned as she is old and yet... and yet... OMG, she's been infected! No no no! Geez, I needed a defibrillator for a second there .. But as the mystery thickens, so too do the questions. The ebb and flow of the drama, the romance that wants to happen, characters like Fenir, Leo and Zoltan, the way Maya twists things 360, and the strange sense of something within Franky kept me glued to the pages as piece by piece an intriguing tale emerges. I'm enjoying this series immensely and with that cliffhanger at the end, how can I do anything else but grab the next book

Franky and the others have learned their enemies identities, she is crushed by it. Franky has only trusted few people, so she feels the betrayal deeply. She also feels betrayed by the others as well with their secrets. She is now learned what her eyes mean. She is attached to another so her life is protected.
Franky and the others will try to figure out what is going on. They will travel to the human realm, where they are attacked. Franky is sees a someone that seems familiar. Franky and Astara are both injured seriously. They come to realize some information and try to get back to the academy. They are ambushed. They are able to go back. Franky can't rest until she speaks with someone but he talks in riddles. Franky will try to figure out who is behind the attacks at the school and other things. Franky doesn't want to acknowlege her true feelings for Zoltan, she is good a pushing others way.

This was great from start to finish. You have every element in this book to keep you reading. Franky with her attitude and fighting everything and everyone. She is trying to find her balance. Her feelings for Zoltan. You will enjoy the ride, the ending is really good. Has you screaming for more. I keep the information vague as not to give away any spoilers, recommend reading this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review

Cliffhanger Warning!
Francesca’s time at the Daywalker Academy has lead to her being bound to the place, which in turn, means she needs to learn. A lot!
But there are forces at work, and she needs to figure out who, and why, before she, and the students, are hurt!

This fast paced, urban fantasy series, is an enthralling one. A world where demons, vampires, shifters, and Fae, work side by side... or do they?
Franky’s world has changed since she calm to the academy, her view of things is becoming skewed, maybe more realistic.
As she learns more about the world, she is placed more and more in danger, as nefarious beings will stop at nothing to get what they want.
It’s a fascinating story, well written, well paced- but it’s not complete, because it’s more a serial than a series! This book continues on from the first, and ends in a cliffhanger for the third, so consider yourself warned!

Read the first book in the series before this one, and have the next one lined up ready to go!

For fans of Urban Fantasy... if you enjoy Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs, give this series a whirl!

Downhill it go..

What happened to book two? Nothing except excessive weird FMC personality, awkward dialogues, and language use. The FMC spoke like a weirdo with overdone on self pity, anger that didn't make sense towards the h, and the words use did not flow. This one was not as cohesive or as developed. Nothing happened except the MC is constantly being saved by the heroine and the villains are more powerful than the pathetic weak heroine and h. Disappointed that this series went downhill in my opinion. Don't care for weird dialogues and with villains that constantly beat the mc. The ending was pathetic with the weak h being taken easily by the all powerful hunters. Gave book one 5 stars and can't believed book two went downhill..

This is an older series of an author I’ve come to love, and I’m catching up on it. This is the second book where poor Franky is dealing with what she feels is betrayal and real betrayal. I love her relationship with Astara, in some ways better than any of the other relationships. This book has them going to the mortal world and of course getting into some fights. Franky is learning more about the Academy, her friends, and her powers, and she is becoming even more formidable. I was a tiny bit confused at a couple of parts about what was going on, but it wasn’t any big deal. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This series keeps getting better and better! I just absolutely love, love, Franky! I love her snarkiness! She is my absolute favorite in this series. When Maya writes, I can feel every emotion the characters are going through. And that is exactly the kind of books I am looking for. Maya is definitely one of my favorite authors. I'm very curious as to Fenrir's feelings towards Franky. It's hard to tell what he is thinking, because he's always covering them up. I can't wait to find out in the upcoming books. I'm so excited for this series! You gave to read it! You will not be disappointed, trust me!

I really like this new series as a whole, but there are a couple of things I am NOT ok with. One, no one should have to sacrifice their self endlessly to fuel the magic powering this place. That is sick and twisted .... Like find a different way! Also, our h goes off on people like a child without knowing any facts.... Then she is all knowing and the cooler head.... My head is spinning!
I am also not a fan of the cliffhanger endings.... That feel more like a break in the book.... I hate partial books!

Oh crap!

Things just keep getting crappier and crappier for Franky and company. A quick trip to the human realm and things just go from bad to horrendous. Now, back at the Academy, and after a talk with Soren and good night’s sleep, they all think they have a minute to themselves. Sadly, this is not the case.
Franky made a choice and tried to save Zoltan from being dragged through the portal but her luck ran out this time. This story has sucked me right into the middle of it. I have to find out what’s going to happen next.

Not as good as the first, but still great

The mystery of the murders is still going on with only some of the killings solved, so there is lots of drama and action. Hopefully this series won’t be one of those where the heroine is destined to be alone. The story is still unfolding, but is already starting to have that hopeless feeling about it. Still needs better proofreading, one out of place word wasn’t even a word and didn’t stop at just the dictionary I looked it up online and on wiki thinking maybe I am just too old to understand, but nope not a word .

Cheesy but good

The main character Francesca I simply want to smack her upside the head but given she evoked this emotion tells me I like the story. Don't like authors putting cliffhangers because it shows their insecurities that no one will buy next book because their story is lame. It's a good story so of course I want to see what happens! Own it and if people don't buy it oh well. Some editing needed at times but overall I recommend the escape from reading it

Infiltrated

Great follow up to the first book. Story picks up where we were, at the end of the last book. Couldn't put it down. Very fast paced and doesn't lose track. Franky and Zaltan have so much chemistry, can't wait for that to be explored more. Would like to know more about the hunters, but it's like we are learning with Franky and I like that. Surprises from all directions, great read.

needs a proofreader, badly

Can’t tell you if the stories are any good. This author desperately needs an editor to proof her work. The errors in grammar and word usage are distracting to the point of senselessness. e.g. “eliminated” for “illuminated”!

needs spellcheck

The story was pretty good, but with all the misspelled words and words that were sort of sounding like the words that should be there. It makes me think that maybe AI wrote it in the author did not go back over it to check.
