This is probably the nerdiest book I own: a complete technical schematic of the USS (later HMS) Essex, down to the numbered and labeled planks of her hull and every rope of her rigging. Lots of diagrams, lots of illustrations (including one of the great cabin that was extremely useful) as well as a history of the ship's commanders and the battles she fought in. Probably only of interest to naval history buffs and model ship builders, but I can tell you that if you are a writer looking for a model for a fifth-rate frigate from the Napoleonic era, this is definitely the book for you.
