Tanya Stowe has quickly become one of my favorite suspense authors, and Killer Harvest is yet another example why.

Sassa (or Sassy Sassa as shes fondly called by her mentor) is instantly likable and surprisingly relatable despite her career as a biologist and very advanced research skills. Her relatability is due in large part to her strength amid the nightmare shes suddenly living out and her fierce love for her little girl. We can easily put ourselves in her shoes in a general sense and wonder

I liked this inspirational suspense novel with a plot involving agricultural terrorism. Attacking crop production for terrorist purposes is something I had not thought of. The framework of recreating the plant killing virus and then an antidote is a good one for the suspense and romance that revolved around it. The characters were developed well and that development was the focus of the plot. The romance progression was done at a pace I liked. I also liked the action hook at the beginning of the ...more

Once you turn the first page the non-stop action begins, and continues right to the end, and why? Because of evil! People with no regard for human life and they will not let anyone in their way to perpetrate their plague on mankind.
A young mother, scientist, with a heart for God, and she holds in her hands the key to destruction, or maybe the way to find a cure for what the evil ones hope to spread.
We are also gifted with a Border Patrol Agent, a man who is struggling with his faith, but he has

This was not your usual suspense novel. Both the hero and the heroine were divorced, so it wasn't my favorite type of love story in that regard, but the chemistry between them was great. They made a great team, and he was a born father for 'Sassy' Sassa's baby girl. Of course, with a baby involved, the stakes were high- but the fact that the plot revolved around a virus that could wipe out food sources in a crop pandemic brought it up to super heights. The villains really made the story, though, ...more

"It was a pathogen. A virus that kills plants. It had multiplied with nothing to feed on.... Airborne, it could travel the world and kill every living plant in its path."

Not long ago a book about bio-terrorism might have seemed unrealistic but this new book by Tanya Stowe seems very plausible in today's society. Biologist Sassa Nilsson and a Border Patrol Agent find themselves in a deadly race to stop a crop virus that would destroy the world's food chain and they are involved in intrigue and

Killer Harvest by Tanya Stowe has Sassa Nilsson fighting for her life with Jared DeLuca trying to keep her and her baby safe from the Black Knights. Sassa needs to recreate a deadly formula and then come up with a cure while keeping it out of the hands of the enemy. Killer Harvest is a fast-paced suspense with touches of romance. The action begins in the first chapter and it continues to the end. Sassa is a strong female character who is intelligent, strong-willed and God fearing. Jared is a ...more

Tanya Stowe really knows how to grab your attention from page one and take you for an adrenaline-drenched, high-intensity suspense that will have you turning the pages! As a militant environmental group threatens to steal the formula for a virulent plant pathogen, Sassa comes into the group's crosshairs with her work at the university lab. As a single mom with low self-esteem, Sassa is thrown into one dangerous situation after another as she tries to reconstruct the formula and then to find the ...more

The book starts right off with danger and the characters hit the ground running. Sassa is in deep when her boss is murdered before her eyes. This isnt just your run of the mill mystery . It is top level secret with biotechnology that could cause chaos if it lands in the wrong hands. The tension is thick as Sassa tries to figure out what is going on. She must find a way to protect both her and her baby from the extremists group . I could feel the uneasiness as Sassa deciphers who to trust.

I love a book with a strong and intelligent heroine who knows her mind. In Killer Harvest, Sassa Nilsson is just that. Even though someone is after her, she is fiercely protective of her daughter and doesnt give up on the task set before her. Add in a border patrol agent who melts with a certain baby in his arms, and yeah, Im a goner.

While Tanya Stowes newest release isnt as intense as many of the Love Inspired Suspense books, the pacing never gets bogged down and I enjoyed the larger focus on

Very enjoyable story with lots of suspense. It is a scary thought that someone will come up with a product that will kill most of the foods that we grow. I hope it never happens. There were lots of twists and turns that had you wondering who was going to live and where the formula was. This story has great characters that learn more about forgiveness of others and themselves. I received a copy of this book from Celebratelit for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Killer Harvest

Killer Harvest is a fast reading book. Sassa supervisor gets killed at the beginning of the book and is only anyone guess who will be next. Jared is coming to protect her. Will he be able to? Sassa has a baby girl who they also need to protect. I loved how brave Sassa is.

They have a lot to figure as to why Sam was killed. A lot of danger while doing so. This is a very exciting book. It would make a good movie.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you...thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an unexpected end. Jeremiah 29:11

What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. The author had my attention from that first line - Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. Sassa Nilsson and her mentor Sam were returning from a trip to China and things went very, very wrong. Why Sams bracelet was so important that he would give it to her as he breathed his last was something she would need to identify. What

A fun story

My rating is 4.5 stars

Full of suspense, Killer Harvest deals with a single mother, a biologist in Central California, who is thrust into a world of intrigue and terrorists.

Sassa was nicknamed Sassy Sassa by her boss, and fittingly so. Her failed marriage had taught her the importance of standing up for herself and especially for her faith. Her biggest regret was allowing herself to marry a man who didn't share her faith and she was determined never to do that again!

Jared had come out

I can always count on Tanya Stowe for a good suspense read. In Killer Harvest Tanya brings a twist we dont often see in Christian Suspense biological terrorism on our agricultural system. What makes it especially scary is the possibility of this being a reality. Thankfully, the good guys win!

I thought it was interesting having two main characters who have been through a divorce. While I cant speak to the accuracy of dealing with divorce fallout (Im blessedly married to my first love), I

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Killer Harvest. Tanya is a fairly new author for LIS but she is becoming one of my favorites. This story is well written, action packed and full of adventure. She has also interwoven faith throughout the book as in a fine tapestry. I know you are going to love it.

Biologist Sassa Nilsson went to an international conference with her mentor and boss. They are at the airport and ready to head for home. She is anxious to get home to her baby. The

When I first started reading this I felt I was reading the newspaper instead of a fiction book. Tanya Stowe. This story pulled me in from the beginning. Sassa knew something wasnt right as soon as she got off the plane with her mentor Sam. And from there, the story takes off in a fast pace that will have you on the edge of your seats. Ms. Stowe created characters that were so well developed throughout the story, I started thinking of them as real people. And I really

My Thoughts on Killer Harvest:
Wow. This is an intense book! Its short thankfully or youd be staying up way too late trying to get it finished before you went to bed and then not able to sleep because of all the suspense and what-ifs!

Sassa is a single parent of a gorgeous little girl. Jared De Luca is assigned to figure out this case and protect not only Sassa but her sweet little girl and family. Both of our lead characters are divorced which we dont see very often in novels like this.

Killer Harvest by Tanya Stowe is an inspirational romantic suspense novel that pulls from current events to create a tense, fast-paced story about a race to find a formula that could destroy the world. What really made the story shine were the details Ms. Stowe weaves into it, like the Kingsburg area, the university, motherhood. It helped bring me into the story and keep me there as the tension between the main characters ratcheted up.

The book has Christian themes throughout. And Ms. Stowe

They hold the safety of the world in their hands...

Killer Harvest is only the second book I've read by Tanya Stowe, I've also read Fatal Memories, but it's definitely my favorite. What's not to like? The book starts off with a murder, add some terrorists, toss in a deadly plant pathogen with the ability to destroy the world, liberally sprinkle in some flying bullets, don't forget the adorable baby, shake it all up with trouble from the past, and the final ingredient is some serious sparks

This book starts off with some pretty crazy stuff that will have wondering what is going on.
I appreciated Sassas story and her journey in her faith. Jared struggled with his faith, as life had let him down many times and he questioned God.
Overall, for whatever reason, this story didnt resonant with me. I felt like the writing was choppy and disconnected. Things with the baby didnt really add up, usually babies dont pull themselves up until nine or ten months but this baby was doing it at six

I love reading books where I become invested in the lives of the characters I am reading about, and Killer Harvest met that requirement. From the very beginning, Sassa Nilson came to life through the pages of the book. From seeing her mentor brutally murdered in front of her by environmental extremists to her relationships with her daughter and parents, and even to her ex-husband, she cared about the people in her life.

Border Patrol agent Jared De Luca also came to life in the pages of this

What I think you should know:
Killer Harvest by Tanya Stowe is a contemporary suspense from Harlequins Love Inspired Suspense. Bioterrorist are seeking a formula that has the ability to wipe out plant life, and nothing will stop them from getting it.

What I think about this book:
If you are not already a Tanya Stowe fan, this would be a great place to start! Stowe has delivered another action packed suspense. This is a great book with enough action and mystery that kept me turning the page, but

This storyline made me shiver in a place or two because it seemed as if it could actually be happening. Thats just how well Tanya Stowe was able to communicate the dangers of bio-terrorism in our world today. The danger in this book never seemed to end, and the bad guys at first always seemed to be a step ahead at almost every point in the story.

Sassa was a flawed heroine, and I liked her all the better for that. She could be sassy, and had made mistakes in the past, but she used her courage and

"Killer Harvest" by Tanya Stowe is a fast-paced suspense with touches of romance. The action begins in the first chapter and it continues to the end. I was kept reading this book to the last page. I didn't like some of the happening , but the events made the book more realistic since it was about a plot to harm people. The title really is a good one since it describes the story perfectly.
I really was surprised at the twist of who the Spyder, the suspect, turned out to be. I bet most readers

You know what I love most about this book? Sassa. Her grit and attitude leapt from the pages and kept me reading long into the night.

Tanya Stowe has created a wonderful blend of charismatic characters, dark danger, and savvy spirituality.

Sassa and Jared push and pull against each other like a set of magnets. Sassa refuses to love another man who doesnt put God first, but her heart always tugs her back to the border patrol agent who loves Sassas daughter almost as much as Sassa does.

The author found ways to make this thriller-type story a bit different from the usual, but we still have the expected threats and danger. In this case, the terrorist group wants a formula developed to destroy crops. The main character had been working with the scientist who was seeking a cure for the deadly disease. Sassa Nilsson is a single mom with a baby, whom the enemy tries to use as a pawn. Those attempting to gain control dont value life at all. How can Sassa and Border Patrol Agent Jared ...more
