Laughter, tears and an HEA

Kirsten Paul delivers a nice romance with The Hockey Player and the Angel. Take a hockey player out to make money, pair him with type A chef about to lose her family’s legacy, throw in a power outage and watch the sparks fly. This book will make you smile, shed some tears, and eventually make you go “awwww”. Paul has a smart writing style with great characters and a good story flow. I obviously liked the book...a lot!

The Hockey Player and the Angel by Kirsten Paul is Romance combined with a Family situation which may destroy them if they do not make a hard decision soon. Health forces the parents to hand the problem to the oldest of four Daughters. The situation the Sisters find themselves in is both romantic and humorous. I was laughing so loud at times. This book was read within a few hours. It was fast moving with great description of the characters and the setting of the scenes excellent. I throughly enj ...more

This was a sweet read with just the right amount of comedy and romance! The main characters, Marc and Katrina, as well as the side characters are charming. While her sisters can be frustrating in the beginning, the reader knows how much they love her. This definitely has a happy ever after, just the way I like my romance novels!

Beautiful story

Such a beautifully written story , Marc passionate about his hockey career and Katrina passionate about her families Inn and all the history with it.. Katrina a chef wanted nothing more than to cook in her family’s inn but with so much debt and stress resting on her shoulders that was looking more towards bankruptcy. This story was beautifully written and now I want to read more of her books and bake scones , 🤔 I loved that scene in the kitchen ❤️

This is a romantic comedy which is not my normal genre but I wasnt disappointed.

Marc and Katrina have good chemistry and throughout the book you can see them growing together which is always nice. The side characters are funny and added humour to the story.

It had just the right amount of comedy and romance and it wasnt too over the top like most of them are.

If you want to laugh and smile over a book consider picking this up

Sweet romance with humor that involves two people whose hopes and dreams are very different for the same place. Some intriguing dialogue along with several twists and turns create some interesting scenarios throughout the story. Strong and passionate feelings bring these two together while also creating obstacles.

In this story, chef Katrina Sherrer is trying to save her families business, the Acadia Restaurant and Inn. Hockey defenseman/CEO of King Court Development, Marc Johansen, has offered to buy the property to tear it down and develop it. Marc and three teammates/investors become snowed in at the Acadia. Katrina attempts to convince Marc to invest in the Acadia instead of buying it to tear it down. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

My goodness!! This was so adorable, I couldn’t stop!! Being from Canada, it’s always so much nicer reading something based in Canada and knowing what they’re talking about!! And there’s nothing more Canadian than hockey!! The characters were so lovable, and the ending was so sweet!! Loved it!!

A beautiful romance about two people who weren’t meant to fall in love. Careers get in the way, money is always on both of their minds. A truly wholesome story you follow throughout the book, definitely a must read!
