Rate this book
HE'D TRACKED HER DOWN... ...in the snow-covered Montana mountains. But in his runaway lover's glistening eyes Steven Conti could see she still loved him, still wanted him. And from her rounded belly he could see she hid his unborn baby. Nothing would stop Steven from taking them home to Boston--his woman and his child. From their first night together, Maria Barone was branded by his kiss; she could belong to no one but Steven. But he was a Conti, and she a Barone--sworn enemies and feuding rivals. Maria wanted Steven, as a husband, a lover, a father to her baby. But could they find happily-ever-after--or had she fallen for the one man she could never keep?

What can I say? I was in the mood for mind candy. I wanted a story with a happy ending I could count on. Years ago I'd read some of the other books in the Dynasties: The Barones series so when I saw this I went ahead and picked it up. The story was fine for what it was. It's romance. Silhouette Desire romance to be exact. You simply can't expect any great literary works in the Silhouette line of books. But that's OK. That isn't what I wanted. I wanted easy and fast to read with no thinking required of me. I got what I wanted. The story was OK. No surprises or twists and turns. The writing was at least understandable and the characters were OK. The plot, as with most romances, got all tied up in a nice neat little package by the end. Probably not the most believable of endings, but it wasn't exactly the most believable of storylines either. Bottom line: If you've got an hour or two to kill and you don't want to have to put a lot of effort into what you're reading, go ahead and pick up the book.

I was dissapointed by this book. When I pick up a Desire I want a fast, steamy, romantic read and this wasn't any of the above. It was actually rather silly. The heroine was stubborn but in the ignorant and useless kind of way. I never really got to know the hero in the way I wish I would have and they spent a great deal of time together but we rarely got to see it.
For me it wasn't Passionately Ever After...There was no swelling of relief when the characters finally got together and the climax, even though action packed, was just sort of anti-climatic for me.
The secondary cast of characters were fun if not hard to follow and there were several cute moments but overall the book was just sort of blah. Sad to see it but this one only gets two stars.

At first I kept thinking this book was going to be an exact Romeo and Juliet story but I quickly changed my thinking. I can't wait to read more from this author. It was a great storyline, great characters, and an awesome ending. The author really had me wanting more from each character, which drew me in the story. It was hard to put it down!

50 halaman lebih isinya cuman Steven ngajak nikah, Maria menolak. Padahal sama-sama saling mencintai. Duh..membosankan deh

Cheesy and short but I was entertained for a while. The whole curse thing was pretty ridiculous.

The last book tied everyone's lives together. Ending the mystery was sad but a baby brought 2 families together
