Elizabeth Shields and Connor McManus are both operatives with Cobra International Solutions (CIS), a private security firm. Two years ago, Connor saved her life during a mission that went sideways and she’s never forgotten his bravery in that moment. He’s made no secret of his attraction to “Lilibet,” his pet name for her and both have kept their distance due to the company’s fraternization ban. When Connor is notified of his best friend’s murder in Glasgow, he takes leave to be with Jack Murray’s family and try to figure out what happened. Elizabeth is set to leave for vacation but realizes quickly that Connor needs her help and arrives in Scotland instead of the beach.
I’ve watched these two dance around their attraction since the inception of the series and was glad to see them finally deal with it. What I didn’t expect was to fall for these two, especially Elizabeth who was completely different from what I’d imagined her to be. She was daring, charming, über smart and playfully uninhibited in her relationship with Connor. I knew I liked him but after learning about his origins, growing up poor and rejected in the slums of Glasgow, I came to seriously admire him and how he developed into an honorable, loyal and courageous man. These two put some serious steam in this story but it was an essential part of their relationship and the story. It’s rare for me to say that but in this case, it defined the two in ways that words couldn’t.
The investigation into Jack’s murder was interesting, though I’d figured out the bare details pretty easily. However, that didn’t detract from the excitement or the pleasure of experiencing Elizabeth in action. I’m loving this series and I loved this romance. They were something special.

Hard Justice era una de las publicaciones que mas ansiaba de este recien estrenado año, ya no solo porque todo lo que escribe Pamela Clare es un must read para mi, sino tambien debido a que esta pareja principal se robo toda mi atencion en los tomos anteriores.
He leido muchos libros a lo largo de mi vida y no con todos he tenido esa sensacion de no querer llegar a el final, pero con esta historia no pude parar de desear una y otra vez que las paginas se multiplicaran para asi no finalizarla nunca.
Me lo estaba pasando tan bien con esta novela, me tenia tan intrigada y enganchada que me arrepiento de no haber dosificado un poco mas esta lectura, pero es que Hard Justice es tan amena y ligera de leer que es verdaderamente imposible no devorarla de un tiron como hice yo.
Elizabeth y Quinn son una pareja tan apasionada, explosiva e intensa que practicamente podia sentir el vapor saliendo de mis oidos despues de leer sus escenas mas candentes, y aunque una de mis pequeñas pegas a este libro es que me hubiera encantado ver mas a los personajes secundarios, no puedo ocultar que Quinn y Elizabeth son unos personajes tan correctos y bien estructurados que no se echa demasiado en falta la aparicion de el grupo de Cobra Security.
En lo relativo a la premisa, admito que en un principio pense que seria muy predecible, por lo que me tomo por sorpresa al no seguir el rumbo que yo esperaba, ademas debo mencionar el gran merito que tiene la autora a la hora de hilar el suspense en sus historias y luego desenvolver misterio tras misterio sin que se le quede ni un solo punto sin unir.
Pamela Clare no es una escritora cualquiera, obviamente se que su trabajo no es del gusto de todo el mundo, no obstante, para mi siempre es un placer elegir una de sus creaciones, tal vez por eso siempre comienzo sus novelas con una gran expectativa y lo cierto es que aun no me ha decepcionado ( y espero que nunca lo haga ).
En definitiva, Hard Justice cumplio mis altas expectativas. Me dejo verdaderamente satisfecha con la trama, los protagonistas, su historia, la pluma de la autora, la accion .... quede cautivada al 100%, solo le resto media estrella porque en ciertos momentos extrañe a mi amado grupo de soldados y su sincera amistad.

This book is the reason I love the Romantic-Suspense genre so much. Scorching hot romance, characters that need each other to solve a mystery and an HEA. More, so much more than the Romance genre can ever deliver.

Hard Justice was a bloody fantastic read and an easily earned 5 star read!
I would describe this as a friends to lovers romance. Quinn and Elizabeth work together in personal security. The company has a no fraternizing policy which has kept these two from acting on their attraction. That all changes when on their down time from work, Elizabeth flies to Glasgow to help Quinn find out who murdered his best friend.
I enjoyed the couple. I enjoyed the plot, and I especially enjoyed how it ended. This is one of those endings that will give you the feels. Plus, you really get to see how well these two work together as they investigate Jack's murder. Then when they finally give in to their attraction, there was no awkwardness, no hesitation or pushing away. They just seamlessly became a couple and it felt real and believable.
I've read the first two books of this series, as well and I'm pretty impressed by this series. The author has done a great job of bringing interesting characters and interesting plots to grab my attention and keep it. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this series is one of the best I've read this year.

Similar to the other books in this series that I've read, Hard Justice mentions some difficult, complex, and intense topics. Quinn (H) and Elizabeth (h) are introduced in the prologue in a scenario that occurred in the first book I think and the danger is extreme. But he saves her and two years later, they have a good working relationship and a friendship that involves them quietly lusting after each other...while working for a company with a no fraternization rule. Boundaries remain clear until Quinn goes home to Scotland after his best friend is killed and ends up wanting to have a look into the investigation himself. Elizabeth joins him for support and the use of her brilliant mind. Forced proximity, old ghosts and fresh grief for Quinn, loads of suspense and mystery about what's going on, and their lust reaching a breaking point all made for a quick-paced journey.
Written in third person, dual POV. No ow/om drama and both are experienced. Each has moments of thinking about or mentioning small things regarding their experience. It wasn't clear though if either had been with anyone since they began working together and were attracted to each other. I could have done without some of the tidbits about Quinn's experience, though they're not detailed, it just felt unnecessary. Elizabeth does share info on a past relationship that detonated and led to sexual harassment.
Triggers: threats of kidnapping and assault, recollections of sexual harassment, recollections of fallout from a relationship with a co-worker, grief, recollections of child and parental abuse, recollections of poverty, mentions of drug use (not main characters), , alcoholism discussed, and violence

I liked the main characters, but I felt like Quinn and Elizabeth's attraction for each other overwhelmed what they were trying to accomplish at times. Even Elizabeth points this out eventually, that what's changed between them is distracting her. I also struggled with how behind the eight ball they always seemed. Yes they were hampered by what they could access and some pretty large missing pieces, but they just could not seem to get a win and instead were getting pummeled left and right!
They were sweet together and I felt Elizabeth balanced out Quinn well, I also appreciated that she laid out her feelings about how he was self-medicating with alcohol. From his perspective, he clearly adores her and esp admires her mind, always a plus. There are multiple steamy scenes between them once they cross that line. Sometimes they get carried away in a moment that I personally wouldn't have been thinking about that at that time, but *shrug*. There's also one scene in a publicly accessible place, though they don't get caught.
I was pretty certain I connected the dots and I was right, which never fails to make me want to pat myself on the back, even when it's kind of obvious where the author is leading us. I wanted to yell at a couple points for the characters to make some connections, but it took them a lil more time. The bad guys are horrific. One baddish guy wasn't so bad but he definitely wasn't afraid to take things into his own hands either. In contrast, Quinn's friend's wife and family were precious and adorable and I 110% wanted our hero and heroine to get justice for the good man who died the way he did.
The climax has many things happening at once, choices that have to be made, intensity, and ultimately resolution. It was an awesome feeling how their Cobra co-workers also showed their love for Quinn and Elizabeth and the way that the conflict about the no fraternization rule was addressed so simply. Since these two had worked closely together for years, I could believe that they were in love. However, some cute scenes with them no longer in danger but together would have been great. Instead the epilogue is six months later and admittedly is lovely and gives closure in a different arena but I had conflicting feelings about one aspect of it and I really wanted something of their life back home. Not going to end up being a favorite from this author, but it was also a fast read and writing's pretty consuming once you get sucked in.

I’m pretty late in the game on this series and that’s really only because I didn’t even know it existed. I used to be a really big fan of Pamela Clare’s I-team series and since this is the spin-off, I knew that I had to give it a try. Now, I didn’t start with the first book of the series. Instead, I jumped straight into HARD JUSTICE, which is the third book in the Cobra Elite series.
I think if you haven’t read the I-team series then you can probably get by with enjoying this one, but I think the true fun comes from seeing the cameos from some of the beloved characters of the original series. I know for me, it was one of the things that I most looked forward to.
However, that’s not to say that the characters don’t hold their on in this series. I do like Clare’s brand of characters. They are very knowledgeable and intense, and they often get themselves into a mess of a situation. However, through determination and grit, they are always able to pull through. I do think some of the “magic” that was in the I-team is missing in this series, but the Cobra Elite are definitely special in their own way too. It’s obvious that comparisons will be made, but nothing will likely ever top the original I-team series for me.
Nevertheless, I am intrigued about this series and I look forward to catching up with the other books. It’s nice to see Clare back in action, dishing out intense love stories with plenty of thrilling action and suspense.

We're takin on another grand adventure this time to the land of Glasgow where we get plenty of Glaswegian speak to melt your heart and panties.. After reading this book I had to go out to YouTube and watch a how to speak Glaswegian video.
Other than the beginning and towards the end Quinn McManus and fellow Cobra International team member Elizabeth Shields are on their own in Glasgow on a personal mission to find who killed Quinn's best friend from his SAS days. Even though these two had been respecting the rules of no fraternization I loved how Elizabeth didn't even give it a second thought about flying to Glasgow to both help and support Quinn in his quest to find out what happened to his best friend.
Of course this gets them into all kinds of harrowing situations along with them finally given into their feelings for each other. The author never disappoints in giving us a book full of action, suspense, edge of your seat thrills along with a hot romance.

I would give this book 4&1/2 stars if I could. Hard Justice is the third book in the "Cobra Elite" series and is as good as the first two books. This is Elizabeth Shields and Quinn McManus' story. They are co-workers who have been attracted to one another forever but are not supposed to fraternize because of company rules. That all changes when Elizabeth flies to Glascow, Scotland to help Quinn find his best friend's killer. This is a great friends to lovers story with some very hot scenes. It is a murder mystery but more of a love story. Highly recommended for PC fans and all those who like their romantic adventure stories hot!

I couldn’t stop reading and gobbled it up in a single sitting.
Quinn and Elizabeth’s connection is strong due to their work relationship which arouses a more emotionally rich tale. I loved Quinn’s manliness, his brogue was incredibly sexy and his protectiveness and opinion of Elizabeth was endearing. I felt for his rough childhood but rejoiced how his Lilibet saw him as her hero.
Pamela Clare writes a spellbinding romantic adventure with an exciting climax. Hard Justice is book #3 of the Cobra Elite series by author Pamela Clare. It’s written from both points of view with a happy ending and no cliffhanger.

This is the book I’ve been waiting for, and I stayed up all night to read it. If you know Pamela Clare’s work at all, you know nobody writes a Scotsman like she does (think MacKinnon’s Rangers). So when I heard Quinn McManus was next up in the Cobra series, I had this book one-clicked in my mind way before the order link went up. Likely way before the author had a single word on the page! Quinn is everything you want in a hero, and more.
I was particularly excited because Quinn and heroine Elizabeth Shields have had a will they/won’t they thing going on from the beginning. Being work colleagues and sleeping together is officially a no no at Cobra. And Elizabeth is like all of the I-Team women (another amazing series) – smart, funny, cool-but-not-too-cool-to-hang-out-with – the kind of BFF you can tell your darkest secrets to. Exactly what Quinn needs.
Like all of Clare’s writing this book has a lot of suspense and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. The final revelation of what was actually going on had me in tears, and to see Quinn’s faith rewarded in the end… well, it was enough to restore my own.
Don’t miss this one.

Unlike the first two books, which focused more on military-style operations, the plot in this installment is solid mystery-suspense as Quinn and Elizabeth follow leads and gather clues as to who killed his friend. While the identity of the culprit is not difficult to guess, the action is excellent and the resolution is nail-biting.
Quinn and Elizabeth's partners in love romance is fantastic. In addition to sizzling chemistry, they have such a sweet connection, which adds another layer to their intimacy. Quinn is the epitome of the gentle giant, and his love and respect for Elizabeth land him solidly in the hottie harem. Elizabeth is an engaging mix of fun and feisty, and her deep and abiding affection and caring for Quinn are palpable.
While the Cobra Elite team takes a back seat to the mystery and romance, they do put in an appearance and their camaraderie is very endearing.
Overall, this is the best installment so far and the one that is most similar to Clare's original I-Team series.

Okay, I’m the first to admit I’m a sucker for any story with a Scotsman. Especially one who wears a kilt (wink)! Quinn was rough around the edges, had a heart of gold, and was a marshmallow when it came to his feelings for Elizabeth. I loved this guy! He just had so many unexpected layers to his personality!
Elizabeth was also easy to love. She’s wicked smart and uses her intelligence chasing bad guys. She’s been burned in the relationship department before and he held off on anything with Quinn. But what happens in Scotland...!
When they let loose, Quinn and Elizabeth set a five alarm fire in the bedroom and the shower and another memorable location...anyhooo, all the sizzling tension that’s been building between them was a raging inferno of emotion, playfulness, sincerity and loyalty. These two were quite the pair and I loved them ridiculously so!
The suspense aspects were good with the storyline coming straight from recent headlines. Part way through is when it all started clicking for me, but I still enjoyed following through to the end.
This was another great read from Clare! While the story was a little lighter than the previous two Cobra stories, Quinn and Elizabeth’s explosive chemistry was a lot of fun to explore. The suspense was just an added bonus for me.

Oh my goodness, this is the best Pamela Clare book I've read in a while and probably one of my faves. I loved Quinn and I loved Elizabeth and I loved the way he called her Lilabet and his accent and I could go on and on and on.
This is definitely the best of the Cobra Elite series books so far. For some reason this one was more enjoyable for me. I think part of it, is that unlike the first two in the series, they weren't on the run, trying to get away from an evil person trying to kill them. They were in one place and were investigating his friend's death. I certainly enjoy those types of stories more than the ones with the constant "on the run" stories.
This book had me laughing. It had me crying. I was swooning over Quinn and fanning myself over his naughty thoughts and sexy words to Elizabeth. The sex scenes between these two were smokin!

Even though there was no running from the villain there was still plenty to keep me interested in the story. I loved reading along with Quinn and Elizabeth as they put the pieces together (well, as Elizabeth did because she's totally awesome) and figured out why Jack was killed.
Truly this is probably one of the best of hers I've read. I seriously love her I-Team series and this one is right up there with some of my faves from that series.
I'm sorry I waited to read this book and I definitely want this one of my keeper shelf.

I'm a total sucker for the protective hero, especially when he winds up being a big-hearted teddy bear on the inside and Quinn delivered on those fronts along with showing excellent character development. I loved Quinn and Elizabeth together and I so appreciated that once feelings were acknowledged there were no games, no dramatic separation, and no denying that they were determined to be together no matter what. That was lovely and made me really enjoy this book and now I look forward to my ARC of the next book in this series.

Be prepared to not be able to put this book down once you start it! Keep some tissues handy also.
This third book in the Cobra Elite Series, starts with a flashback of a harrowing escape, then goes full force into the first chapter.
Quinn McManus is a Cobra operator who was formerly in British Special Forces. He’s a bit of a loner, and loves his whiskey. He has been flirting with Elizabeth Shields (former CIA) and they have a good relationship, but the no fraternization rule of the company is putting a damper on their “friendship.”
Quinn gets heartbreaking news about a brother in arms and his best friend, murdered in an knife attack. He immediately heads to Glasgow, Scotland, determined to find Jack Murray’s killer. Jack’s wife Ava and two little girls Olivia and Isla are devastated, and Quinn vows to find the killer and redeem Jack’s honor.
Elizabeth is known for her hi tech abilities and her ability to speak several languages. She’s strong, intelligent and learned from a previous experience that “office” romances don’t work. She heads to Glasgow because she knows without her, Quinn will get into trouble. She doesn’t tell him she’s coming and surprises him in his hotel room. The sight of him shirtless makes her question her doubts about romance. The spark ignites.
I enjoy all Ms. Clare’s books, especially her I-Team series. The Cobra Elite adds more world travel and new characters to her already amazing talents writing romantic suspense. This story is especially interesting to me because Scotland is one of my favorite places, and one of Ava’s and Jack’s little girl’s name is Isla......my granddaughter’s name.
Most of Ms. Clare’s readers have a particular hero they love, I’m a Julian Darcangelo fan. But, Quinn is a very close runner up!
If you like world issues, danger, suspense and hot romance, grab this series.

Even though this is book three in the Cobra Elite series,it can easily be read as a stand alone novel. The story really does not rely on the characters from previous books in the series although there is some mention of them. This was a fast moving romantic suspense novel centered around one of the Cobra members, Quinn, investigating the murder of his best friend, Jack. While the police suspect that Jack was involved with the drug trade, Quinn knows that his friend and fellow soldier would never get involved with drugs. So he sets out to find out the truth behind the murder. Elizabeth who also works with Cobra as an analyst decides to help him, if only to keep Quinn from doing something illegal and ending up in jail. And maybe because she's always had a soft spot for Quinn.
Once again, Pamela Clare has written a well developed plot with very likeable characters. And who can resist a Scotsmen in a kilt? Overall, a great read that I had trouble putting down.

The third book in the Cobra Elite series by Pamela Clare. Quinn McManus and Elizabeth Shields are co-workers and because of the no dating co-workers policy at Cobra International Security they keep things strictly professional. When Quinn discovers a friend is murdered in Glasgow he heads to Scotland to find out what happened. Soon Elizabeth heads over to Scotland to help Quinn search for the truth.
Pamela Clare has talent to really grab her readers and draw them into the story and doesn't let go until the last page. I fell in love with both of the main characters right away. I don't do this often. There is usually one character that I have to take some time to warm up to. The story moves at the right pace and the balance of romance and suspense was spot on. Highly recommend this series!

Pamela Clare you are a precious gift to the literary world, in particular the romance genre! For fans of Ms. Clare’s work, you understand why I needed to make this profound statement. Each time I read one of her stories I come away enriched, inspired, and with a renewed belief that there is good in this world which is peppered with corruption, evil, and deceit.
In this installment readers are taken on a journey to Scotland, Quinn’s homeland. With the valuable help of Elizabeth Shields fondly known to him as “Lilibet” he works relentlessly to determine why his best friend Jack was viciously murdered. In their pursuit Ms. Clare introduces us to the tourist attractions as well as some of the poverty in the area. We become aware of Quinn’s tragic, abusive childhood. Despite all he endured, his resilience is evident. He demonstrates his ability to love, care and selflessly protect. Elizabeth and Quinn are two beautiful characters deserving of love….. with each other. Their skill sets complement each other throughout the story.
This story is very well developed and engaging. The funeral of Quinn’s dear friend Jack towards the end of the book, brought tears to my eyes. SO well written. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this installment as well as the entire series so far.

Pamela Clare set a sexy romantic suspense in Scotland with a burly ginger Scot? Sign me up. I've had mixed feelings about the Cobra Elite series so far, but after reading Quinn and Elizabeth's story, I'm firmly back in the fan club. This is a quick-moving dance between two operatives who have been fighting a slow burn pants feelings towards each other for years but now have only days to solve a murder. No big deal, right?
The best part of Quinn and Elizabeth's story, imo, is that Quinn is not only respectful of Elizabeth's status in their male-dominated company (and industry) but also clearly is in awe of her tactical abilities. Elizabeth is the brain to Quinn's brawn and he 100% stans her for it.

But Quinn had never once put her down or tried to one-up her. His respect for her was evident every day on the job. It was one of the things that had drawn her to him. The fact that he was also big and ripped and handsome as hell hadn’t hurt.In many ways, Quinn either let Elizabeth take the lead or listened to her as they followed clues and fought the bad guys. This quiet support was every bit as hot as their long-suppressed lust for either other. And when they finally gave in to it? Game over.
Aye, he’d wanted Elizabeth for years. He’d watched her work, come to respect her abilities, laughed at her smart mouth. He’d known she would be passionate and that sex with her would blow his mind. But he hadn’t known that it would hit him like this.The author writes fantastic alpha heroes but my real appreciation is for her truly kickass heroines. The competency porn as they hold their own in international affairs is incredible. Looking forward to the next Cobra Elite adventure.

I haven't read the previous books in the series, but I think that this one worked well as a stand-alone. This is a romantic suspense with a bit of a murder mystery to get to the bottom of along the way. There's plenty of action and plenty of heat in the romance department.
Set in Scotland with a Glaswegian lead, lots of the book is written with a 'Scottish' dialect which for the most part was fairly well done. The author had clearly done quite a bit research and other than the odd little slip-up, but these were mostly little random things that just slip in there (things like going to a paediatrician's office which is unlikely in the UK). I do struggle a bit with things written in dialect, often it's overdone a bit, as the person writing is less used to the accent. For the most part, this was well done and worked.
I enjoyed the suspense element of the book and although I thought I knew where it was going, it didn't make for a boring read. As for the romance, I think that this might be slightly where things fell a little flat for me. I just didn't fully buy into the chemistry between Quinn and Elizabeth. I also found him calling her Lilibet really cringy. I don't know if it's because the only time I've heard that name ever used before is because it's what the Queen is known as to some people and came about because she couldn't say her own name. It's such a babyish name and not something you could imagine lovers using. It's a shame because I think that it was the romance element that made this less than a four-star read.

Elizabeth aka Lilibet used to work for the CIA as an Analyst but always wanted to be on the pointy end of the action. Can't a girl get a little adventure? Well she's getting a lot more adventure than she bargained for!
Quinn barely returns from a mission before he gets the devastating news that his best friend has been killed back in Glasgow. He pretty much cuts and runs and after meeting the local Detective in charge, he's decided he can do better himself!
He gets some unexpected help from Lilibet when she decides to take a "holiday" in Scotland and assist him at the same time. Quinn's adamant that his friend hadn't been involved in anything dodgy and was the epitoe of a family man. Now he just has to dodge the cops and the bad guys to prove it.
At last a book set in my TOWN! Not Edinburgh (although we do go there on a side-mission) or the Highlands but the home of the best detective in the world - TAGGART! Pity the late detective isn't around to help cos the one landed with this murder is, shall we say, a bit of an acquired taste? There's also some leakage of information that is highly suspect. Add in some stomach churning drug dealing, under-age sexual assault and possible terrorist cell and you have youself a seat of the pants rollercoaster ride!
Quinn embodies everything I love about my country and a few of the things I hate (especailly our fondness for alcohol). He can be quite self-depreciating and Lilibet, well she has a spine of steel, even if she thinks she's a wee mouse.
I am never going to look at one of our local castles in the same way, LOL!

I felt bad for ditching Jae to read this book because I told her I didn't feel like starting this one yet, but then I read the first chapter, then another, then another-
-then I finished the whole damn thing. Sorry, Jae!
Quinn and Elizabeth are teammates in Cobra, and Quinn's always had a thing for his 'Lilibet'. However Cobra has a no-fraternization policy so he's kept his distance. But then Quinn's best friend Jack was murdered, so he went back to Scotland to support Jack's grieving family and try to piece together what has happened to Jack. Elizabeth came soon after because she was the intel analyst in the team, and determined to keep Quinn out of trouble.
I have to say that Hard Justice is my favourite book in the series so far. I love, love, LOVE Quinn and Elizabeth together. Quinn's funny and charming, and I wouldn't blame Elizabeth for falling fast for him. Both of them are badasses and they made a great team together.
Parking this under #FallIntoRomBingo square: somewhere you've never been because this story is set in Scotland. I always wanted to go to Scotland! Damn Covid.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Elizabeth and Quinn have worked together for two years and have had a growing attraction during all that time. However each of them know they can't act on that attraction. For one there is a strict no fraternization at Cobra. Not to mention they each have their own personal reasons. For Elizabeth she is wary of work place romances because she had on while with the CIA which didn't end well. For Quinn he has the family with Cobra that he longed for. He doesn't want to mess that up.
However, when Quinn's friend is murdered in Glasgow and Elizabeth goes to help him find the murderer things heat up in more ways than one. I enjoyed this book. There was more than enough action to keep me interested. I loved Elizabeth and Quinn together. You could see their attraction right form the beginning and I will say the ending of this book was more than worth the ride.

I love how friendship was at the center of this one. That Quinn knew his friend didn't die doing bad things and how he was prepared to do whatever it took to find out how killed him. Of course having Elizabeth there helped, she didn't have the problem of being too close to things to see. And of course you knew their attraction would explode...and man did it ever. I loved how each of them were all in once that line was crossed, that they knew time would be short due to their jobs and the company policy, but that didn't matter.
By the end of the book I felt bad for Quinn, for what he found out about everyone, that his friend's life was wasted for such a stupid reason, but glad that his family found out the truth. I loved how all the Cobra guys reacted to finding out about Quinn and Elizabeth. But I think the best part was Quinn connecting with long lost people from his past, something that took a load off of them all.
By the end of the book I felt bad for Quinn, for what he found out about everyone, that his friend's life was wasted for such a stupid reason, but glad that his family found out the truth. I loved how all the Cobra guys reacted to finding out about Quinn and Elizabeth. But I think the best part was Quinn connecting with long lost people from his past, something that took a load off of them all.

Pamela Clare is an auto-buy author for me and this did not disappoint.
The last couple of books (Kindle unlimited novellas) I read were pure hot garbage and it was so refreshing to get some actually chemistry and tasteful love scenes. Just *chef's kiss*
As for the plot, I was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't know who the bad guy was until the end. It didn't do anything particularly amazing, but I was definitely engaged the whole time.
There is a little less action and a little more mystery, but for the most part if you liked the first two books in this series, you will be satisfied with this installment.
