I enjoyed this book. The story starts off with two different individual stories that cross and tie at the end. I feel as though one character (Mary Beth) had no purpose to be in the main story, only as a side character that was in Joseph's life such as Ana and her family.

Overall, this was a great book, as I read it within a week and a half.

A historical novel on the Civil War from the side of the South. A really good story on what the ravages of war has on people, and post tramatic syndrome, and faith in God. A really satisfying, good ending. I really liked it.
