About the author

Jamie Glawson is a woman who has worn many hats and collected a few labels along the way. She’s been called a preppy bookworm, a hippie, an ice princess, and even a bleeding heart. Most of these are true. She is a self-proclaimed steel magnolia, sci-fi geek, and history buff. But the deeper truth in Jamie is her passion for the God who has loved her with an everlasting love and set her free. She has followed Him since she was a young child, wanting only to be near Him. So, she has a heart for His people and is called to speak into the lives of others, encouraging them to discover freedom to rise and fly.

Jamie has spoken truth throughout her life as a social worker, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and as a certified community supervision officer. She served as a music minister for twenty years, taught a ladies Sunday morning Bible study for over ten years, and served with her husband teaching a young adult’s class and a home small group. She is the author of the
historical fiction novel, Destiny’s Fire and is now a blogger, sharing devotions and short stories.

Jamie lives in Southeast Texas with her husband whom she has known since 3rd grade. They like to tell people their first date was recess. Some even believe it. They have two amazing sons, two beautiful and talented daughters-in-law, and the most precious grandchildren in the world.
