If you've ever seen your teenage crush ten years later, and he turns out to be a complete jerk, then you know how Molly Ward feels.

The last time she saw Noah Griffin was the regrettable day that she decided to climb into his bedroom window and turn her unrequited crush into something more.

That day was bad enough, but things are about to get worse.

Noah has become one

”Something about him scrambled my brain waves, and if I was honest with myself, that had always been true.”

Molly and Noah had a quick, hot, and nearly illegal start which led to them not being the best of friends, and both of them making changes in the way they live. Years later they meet back up, because of their jobs and although they agree to avoid each other and or be civil, that doesn’t quite work out as planned. They are forced together for a special project and let’s just say the lite

"I couldn't have scripted this, couldn't have planned it, couldn't have controlled it. Because sometimes, the best things in life come straight from your blind side."

Karla Sorensen is truly one of my top favorite romance authors now.

The two leads, Molly and Noah, were already introduced in The Marriage Effect. A few years after that book, Noah is now a big-shot football player who got transferred to Washington Wolves where Molly is currently working. She was put in charge of the project where

All the stars in the world for this! What a way to kick off my reading for 2020!! Oh my heart! This was absolute perfection. Noah is EVERY-GROWLY-THING I want in my BBF & I just adored Molly’s quiet strength and wit. Together they were kaboom

Their slow burn, their banter, their chemistry - it all added up to my very favourite kind of romance.

Karla draws you into their love story like a voyeur & oh what a story they tell. Packed with humour, emotions and supporting characters that I

*screams* I. Loved. This. Book. Ever since Karla announced that she’d be writing books for the Ward sister’s I was giddy af. Reading about these fun and entertaining sisters in The Marriage Effect just made me want more of them. And I was not at all disappointed with the start of this series and with Molly’s book.

Molly and Noah are anything but strangers. After a teenage mistake both Molly and Noah’s lives are changed. And now in adulthood their lives are about to cross

This, not quite so enemies to lovers, not quite so second chance, almost forbidden romance has left me feeling completely and utterly smitten. I couldn't get through it fast enough. If you are looking for a sport romance with a grouchy hero and a fiesty heroine who doesn't shy away from standing up to the hero, this is it!

We met the lost 16 year old Molly Ward in The Marriage Effect and beared witness to a humiliating turn of events when she decided to pursue her teenage crush, the boy next

I absolutely loved this.
It is funny and sweet.
Not insta, there is an attraction but both push away due to the situation.
Sort of slow burn without the agonising too slow part.
There are a few characters that appear from previous series of the Wolves as the heroine is sibling of Logan.

There are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No other man/woman drama.
Hero is not a man-whore type. He views women a distraction to his career. They call him 'the machine'.
I loved seeing the

3 1/2 Stars! Sports romance. I liked this one, it reminded me of another series that’s full of footballers and their wives and sisters by Natasha Madison, the Something so series. I loved that series, it’s well executed. This reminds of them. An ok read. ...more

A new sports-related romance (especially football) is always a big temptation. They’re my favorite fun and easy escape.

The only other book I’ve read by Karla Sorensen was the third book in the Washington Wolves series with Logan and Paige’s story in The Marriage Effect. I truly loved and enjoyed every minute with them. Focused is Logan’s sister, Molly and Noah Griffin’s book. I didn’t fall or feel nearly as much for this coupling. The book is a standalone and not included in the Washington

That was always what Molly had been to me. A weapon of mass destruction, testing every limit I’d ever given myself.

This was my first book by Karla Sorensen and it surely wasn’t my last. Even though I had some minor issues with it, this book was quite an entertaining and enchanting read.
The writing style captured my interest in this story right from the beginning, and once attached to the characters, I couldn’t put it down.
Loving these two characters came so easily and I was quite sad

Focused is a spinoff from the Washington Wolves series. This series will follow the sisters of Logan Ward, from The Marriage Effect. It picks up about 10 years after The Marriage Effect. We actually met both Molly and Noah in that book. But, don’t worry if you haven’t read the other series, it’s all explained quite well in this book and so it reads as a standalone.

Molly had a crush on Noah, her next door neighbor, when she was a teenager. And in an embarrassing turn of events,

How is this the first time I have read a book from this author? Damn, I'm going to have to go back and read the Washington Wolves series now. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the story arc was perfect, the character connection was on point. I laughed, my eyes may have sweated a little, but this was just a perfect romance read. Be still my beating heart. Absolutely loved it. Couldn't read it quick enough.

Focused is the first book I've read by Karla Sorensen and I regret not reading her prior work. I adored this book and the couple at the heart of it. Noah and Molly had a bit of a thing ten years ago. She only climbed through his window and made out with him. Only issue was that Noah was on a football scholarship and Molly was still a minor. Hell obviously broke loose. Nine years later, Noah has been traded to the team that Molly works for where her brother is the defensive coach. Molly and Noah ...more

I am loving this spin off of the Ward sisters. This is Logan's sisters from The Marriage Effect. Molly and Noah have a small past, but its years later and Noah now plays football for the Wolves, where her brother Logan used to play, but now coaches and where Molly works. Noah is closed off, quiet, focused on football and he doesn't like distractions. The call him 'The Machine' where he is focused and only zoomed in on football. There isn't much that rattles him or makes him want more than ...more

I had a feeling Noah and Molly's story wasn't over so I was excited to see to see their own book. This works as a standalone cause they only had a snippet in Marriage Effect that introduced them. You get a good idea here. All grown up now Molly works for the Washington Wolves but her new boss has a new project in the works. All of Nothing an Amazon documentary usually features a team but in this case it's ateam but on a certain player. Noah Griffin former next door neighbor that Molly had a ...more

I was a HUGE fan of the author's Washington Wolves Series so when I found out she would be writing the Ward Sisters books, I could not wait! This book is Molly & Noah's story and oh how I loved it. We first meet Molly & Noah when she is caught sneaking into his bedroom at the end of the Marriage Effect. A relationship between these two at the time was off limits as she was a minor and he a budding football star. Noah's father and Molly's brother Logan were not at all happy at

I seriously could not get enough of this book. These characters and the way their lives changed after one teenage mistake, and how they try to work with each other now made for such an exciting journey.

I absolutely loved Molly and Noah's story!

They were both introduced in The Marriage Effect, the last book in the Washington Wolves series. Focused starts a new series that features Molly and her three sisters. They are the younger siblings of Logan Ward, so we also get the chance to catch up with characters from previous books.

Molly is smart, hardworking, and kind. When she and Noah have to work together on a project, he feels a connection with her. They're working relationship blossoms into

Molly Ward’s family runs deep in the football industry, and her new boss is pushing Molly hard to prove her worth. Noah Griffin, her high school crush and former next door neighbor is new to the Washington Wolves football program. The past is complicated, and when their jobs force them together, it just adds to the chaos. What starts out as 2 people tolerating each other, builds with a slow simmer and burn. There is an amazing chemistry, and tons of sexual tension until it explodes.

Noah is one of those men that likes to take his time, "if I kiss you here, I won't be able to stop long enough to move to that bed, and if I get an entire night with you …" I dropped my forehead against hers and took a shuddering breath. "Then I need room to work." Sometimes a girl needs to give her man directions, “make sure to lock the door,” I said. “I don’t want any interruptions for what I’m about to do to you.” I liked this book, I loved Noah.

I just love when authors make me feel every single confusing, infuriating, breathtaking and heartbreaking feeling right in my heart. And Karla Sorensen did exactly that in Focused. Molly and Noah's intense romance was so much more than a steamy sports romance. It was a perfect combination of incredible characters, spellbinding storyline and sensational writing.

I am familiar with beginning of Noah Griffin and Molly Ward's story as she is the sister of Logan Ward and Washington Wolves star had his

"You get a reaction out of him that no one else seems to."

Molly Ward has to prove herself to her new boss, which means having to deal with the new transfer to the Washington Wolves. Someone she hasn't seen in ten years. Someone she nearly ruined. Her old neighbour and crush.

"Noah Griffin was staring at me like he was contemplating ways to devour me whole."

A Winning Play from Karla Sorensen

Oh my gosh – I LOVED this book! I don’t like to throw that kind of enthusiasm around for just any book either (especially in cap lock, wow!), so please know it’s the real deal. Speaking for myself as a reader, one of the things that pulls me into a new book is the realness of the characters. I don’t want to read about the adventures of a cardboard cutout Prince from a Disney movie – it doesn’t resonate. When our heroes and heroines have personalities, complete
