I don't read a lot of romantic suspense books so this was a change for me. Dulcie and Deacon's romance begins in the most unusual of ways as he's trying to protect her from a killer. Her entire life has been shrouded in mystery and half-truths and that is a trend that continues as she works with Deacon plus an entire ensemble of characters to figure out who wants her dead and why.

The plot, the secrets, the twist and turns, the chemistry between characters was very well presented.
This will definitely be one of those books that I would re-read several times and I will definitely be reading the next book when it comes out.

What a great story FULL of suspense and a good romance. I loved how the author keeps you guessing and entertained at the same time. Deacon was my fav as he was rough and protective, which is a great combination for a leading man in this style of story. Definitely a MUST READ!

Dulcie is a stubborn, smart, sexy, woman in a hell of a pickle. Deacon is broody, angsty and delicious and trying to prove himself. Together they have some real heat.
Great debut novel. Lots of twists and turns. Can't wait for the next instalment.
