Ghost has been living the life of a nomad. A Lone Wolf. Riding his Harley, picking up odd jobs, and stopping only long enough to lay his head somewhere for the night. But life on the road is no longer as appealing as it used to be and he’s ready to settle down, find a mate, and begin the next chapter of his life.
Dark Moon Falls seems like a great place to do just that.
Mackenzie was born and raised in Dark Moon Falls, but ever since her ex-husband landed in jail based off of her testimony, she’s become a pariah to the shifters in town. Which is fine with Mac, because after being left to raise her son alone, she doesn’t have much faith in them either.
Ghost and Mac are two lonely souls, until fate finally intervenes and puts them in each other’s paths... But will they accept the gift of each other, or are they both two stubborn to see what’s right in front of them?
Author DJ Bryce loves her men tall, dark, and Alpha. She can often be found relaxing with a cup of coffee, a handful of RedVines, and a good book, with her two dogs snoozing happily at her feet. She's a lover of The Walking Dead, Romantic Comedies, and writing sexy shifters. DJ Bryce is a pen name for USA Today Bestselling author, Bethany Lopez.
My guilty pleasure are wolf shifter romances! And Ghost is one of the good ones! Once he meets Mac, he knows she's it for him. She is his mate. And Mac, even though she's not a shifter, knows that Ghost is something significant for her.
Ghost and his plans to settle down and getting together with Mac are so swoony. He goes from loner to family man within days. Suddenly he's willing to put down ties, potentially belong to a pack and just settle down. It's great to see someone on Mac's side, which she desperately needed!
Turn toward home I really enjoyed this book. It fit perfectly with the rest of the collection, leaving me ecstatic over the HEA and wanting more from Dark Moon Falls. The author did a wonderful job with the characters. They were detailed and easy to connect with and I could relate to the emotions they felt and how they reacted to the dangerous situation in the story. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one from the author.
Ghost is a sexy AF shifter who happened to turn his Harley toward the small town of Dark Moon Falls, looking for a place to finally settle down and hopefully find his mate.
And boy, does he! When he meets Mackenzie (Mac), sparks fly and the swooning begins.
This shifter novella was a quick read and gave me everything - heart, passion, and lots of feel-good moments.
The bonding between Ghost and Mac’s son, Kellan was heartwarming and made me smile often. I felt connected to all the characters and fell for them.
If you’re looking for a quick & sweet & sexy shifter read, I recommend this!
This is a feel good about the story shifter romance. It is a charming and easy to read story. I liked the characters and think the story was well written. It doesn't have endless graphic sex scenes like some of the stories do, but there is one. I would recommend it if you like like shifter love stories.

Ghost is swoon worthy!!! Him and Mackenzie are perfect for one another. If you like/love Alpha shifters then you'll enjoy reading Ghost. It's filled with drama, suspense and steamy moments. You'll need to fan yourself.
Ghost is one of those quick, sweet reads everyone needs in their life! Ghost and Mac were absolutely adorable together and then add in Mac's son Kellan? Instant family connection you could feel!
I adored every bit of Ghost. From the sweet words to the hot sex. This couple was meant to be!
Mac is a single mother of an almost teenage son, whose son's father was a wolf shifter while Mac is a human. Mac's ex lied to her from the time they were in high school, and when he finds his true mate he abandoned her and their son for greener pastures but also ends up going against his own pack. Mac finds out and goes to the Alpha who ends up sending him to prison.
Now, Mac is a single mom working at Drake's Shop working on cars, trucks, and even motorcycles. At the beginning of the book, Mac receives a call stating that her son has once again gotten into trouble at school and has afterschool detention again. While this is going on Ghost rides into town and sets up, at least for a little while, in the local hotel. After the conversation, Mac talks with her best friend and gets it where the friend's husband , also a shifter, will speak with Mac's son that evening as Mac and Van have a girls' night.
Ghost runs into Mac and Van at the bar attached to his hotel and instantly knows that Mac is his mate. A few days later, Ghost drops his bike off at Drake's where Mac ends up being the one to work on it, that day is also the day that Mac's son has his first shift and Ghost is there to help him make the shift safely and able to not be afraid. When Ghost gets back to the shop to pick up his bike he learns it was Mac that worked on it and asked her out for dinner, not knowing that the boy that he helped was Mac's son.
Ghost and Mac know that they are mates but are trying to take it slow, although Ghost does purchase a home with 50 acres for him and Mac's son to run and play as well as a truck that is much better for a family to ride than just his Harley. Later on, Mac's ex's mate plans with her ex to kidnap Mac's son to bring him to the prison which Mac has refused to allow the boy to go to. Ghost hunts down the boy and has put the fear of the wolf into the ex's Mate as well as his two brothers with the promise of bad things to come of they touch Mac's son or hurt Mac again.
The two finally solidify their relationship and Ghost fully claims Mac as his Mate.

So, I love paranormal romance, but the story has to be more on the relatable side and suck me in. Ghost did just that. I loved the idea of Ghost riding a Harley and being an overall bada$$. I loved who this man was. I loved that he didn't come to Dark Moon Falls looking for his mate, but he sure found her. Mac hasn't had it easy. Living her whole life in Dark Moon Falls a town where shifters are just as regular as humans, she knows what to expect. What she didn't count on was being left by the man that claimed her as his mate for his true mate. Now Mac is dealing with a son who's learning who he is, without a man to show him. Never fear, the new shifter in town is more than willing to make things easier for Mac and Kellan.
I loved getting lost in this story. I'm new to D.J. Bryce, but I loved every second of this book. I see that there are other books in this series. I plan to check them out. If you love a good shifter story, please check this one out.
ONE RICHLY RAMBUNCTIOUS THRILL!!! Leaping lizards! Bryce brought her A-game, pushing through one incredibly composed delight, laying out this impressive storyline and engaging plot, wrapping this baby up seamlessly. Shenanigans, escapades and mayhem rule the roost and run the show, rolling with the drama, intrigue, turmoil, spiraling suspense along with a boatload of confusion, you have one block busting masterpiece. Vexing mishaps and baffling circumstances todder along with the intimidating trials and challenging tribulations, skipping through the trying twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Exhibiting incredible, well rounded scenario's, that punch dead center revving up the exuberance and adrenaline with such intensity and precision, putting our characters through they're pacing, propelling this gem to a whole new level. The attraction and chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions, charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuine relatable personalities. The scenes are written with such realism, impressive talent and unique insight, blasts this sparkling jewel to life, making the storyline pop. Awesome job Bryce, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
This is the first story I’ve ever read about this author and it definitely won’t be the last. Even though it was a short story the characters are well developed and the storyline is intriguing. Ghost is tired of being a lone wolf and wants to sit down roots, he has ties to Dark Moon Falls so that seems like a good place to set down those roots. Mackenzie is just trying to survive with her son now that the shifters have basically turned against her for getting one of their own locked up. She grew up in Dark Moon Falls and knows all about shifters so when the town turns their back on her it is discouraging. Mac’s ex tricked her into believing she was his mate and is trying his hardest, from jail, to get his real mate to get their son to come and visit him. So it wouldn’t be a far stretch to say Mac doesn’t really trust men but shifters especially. Ghost forms a bond with Mac’s son before he even really knows who he belongs to. Ghost is going to have struggles convincing Mac that he is her true mate after she was burned.
The book Ghost is an easy reading happily ever after paranormal romance story. A little action and some suspense, are threads in the story, but this book is all about the fated mate. The two main characters, Ghost and Mackenzie, are lovable, likable, and you root for them from page one. Ghost may look like a bad boy riding his Harley into town, but to Mackenzie (Mac), he is the man who just might win her heart, and her son's (Kellen). What also makes this story enjoyable is that the humans that live in the little town of Dark Moon Falls know that there are shifters amongst them, and they live side by side with no issues. They embrace one another. Also, the pack alpha, Elias, is well respected by shifters and humans. He seems to be the kind that looks after everyone. When a young boy goes missing, humans and shifters alike search for him. There is a strong sense of community that draws you into the spirit of their town. It is wholesome and believable despite the supernatural twist.
Hopefully, there will be more books about this pack and the town of Dark Moon Falls.

Ghost by D.J. Bryce was a quick, steamy and charming read. Ghost has always been a loner and he was okay with that. But lately he wants more. He wants roots and thinks Dark Moon Falls is just the place to do that in. Mackenzie has always lived in Dark Moons Falls. She thought she had her happily ever-after, but it was far from it. Now it is just her and her son and that is okay. But Kellan, her son, needs someone to help him understand what being a wolf shifter is, but as a human, she is not able. Enter Ghost.
Giving a shifter a chance was not at the top of her list, but even Mackenzie cannot deny their chemistry or connection. Ghost knows as soon as he sees Mackenzie she is his mate; he just needs to convince her he is all in. Can he do so before it is too late?
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading.
Ghost is tired of riding his Harley and picking up odd jobs. He’s been roaming on his own for a long time and is now ready to find a mate and settle down. Dark Moon Falls seemed like a good possibility.
Mackenzie (“Mac”) is a born and raised native of Dark Moon Falls. But the shifters in town avoid her because of her testimony against Darnel, her ex-husband, which sent him to jail. She doesn’t really care, because she is raising her son, Kellen, with no help and has no confidence in the town to come to her aid regardless.
When Ghost and Mac are brought together, there is definite chemistry between them. But she isn’t sure she wants to take on life with another shifter, and her ex’s family is giving her grief. Will Ghost and Mac finally recognize their opportunity to become a family for each other is so close? Or will they let old fears or habits force them to live life on their own and not take a closer look at what is right in front of them?
I had a great time reading this book. With the characters having undeniable chemistry helped with the flow of the storyline. Well written storyline. I love well written PNR books and this one hits the spot.

I enjoyed this new "Dark Moon Falls" paranormal read. This is a nicely developed and captivating story with very likable characters. Ghost and Mac, two lonely souls, brought together by fate. The story is a fairly quick read that is heartwarming and sweet with dome drama, passion and steam.
A well written story of Ghost a man ready to settle down, he meets Max/Mackenzie at the bar when she out with her friend Vanessa. Ghost is out for a run when he comes across a young man Kellan having trouble with his first shift, Ghost helps him through it. What Ghost does not know is that Kellan is Max's son. Kellan's father is in jail as Max put him there, Darnel is Max's ex. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ghost has spent most of his life as a lone wolf and he's getting tired of not having a family to come home to. Mac is just trying to do the best she can to raise her son, Kellan, on her own. Now Ghost just has to convince Mac they are mates and meant to be together. 💗🔥💕
This book was part of the Dark Moon Falls anthology and has been fleshed out a bit but it is still a fairly quick read. 🥰

Take a second chance on love. Mackenzie grew up with her ex-husband Darnel, they were high school sweethearts, he told her she was his mate, married her, and then when got pregnant told her he had found his true mate and divorced her. He never saw her son Kellen much and now he’s been in prison for several years. She doesn’t want another man in her life. But then a new wolf shifter comes into town called Ghost, and the chemistry between them from the first time they met is strong. But she’s leery. As a human does she want to take a risk on another shifter? And her ex’s wife and his brothers are creating problems. Half the town shuns her. After Mac`s husband tricked her into believing she was his mate marrying him and having his son she finds out it is all been a lie. So she is not very trusting when it comes to men. When Ghost arrives in town he is tired of the nomad life and is ready to put down roots not realizing he will find a young boy in the mountains trying to understand how to go through his first shift all alone and find his mate all in the same day. This is a great book that I really enjoyed reading. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This novel is well written, with brilliant characters and a twisting plot. The romance is beautifully intrinsic to the storyline. With the emotional upheaval of the lead characters building the tension in the story this book has everything a paranormal romance novel lover could wish for.
