I was given a free copy of the book by the author in exchange for an honest review, through the MMRG Don’t Buy My Love Program.
My first take on this short story is that it is humorous, pretty well-written, and sweet. It worked for me because it made me laugh to myself and smile about the happy ending. It checked all my boxes. There was a happy ending. I liked the characters. The writing didn't impede my enjoyment of the story with bad grammar or a writing style that I didn't like. I'm never usually a fan of short stories, as I need a lot of time to explore the world and bond with the characters. So I almost decided to skip this one, but I am so glad I didn't. This story was so light, humorous and fun, it had me smiling. I thought it was very well written. The protagonist is so likeable and also totally relatable, (I also had a habit of forgetting about food and leaving it in different places to rot, eww!) too scared to ask out his crush, who hasn't been there? This story short but a cute one. I read my first novel by this author few months ago and I've been itching to read more by them. This book really covers a suspension of disbelief moment between two boys near the end of their senior year of high school. Like the last book, I enjoyed my time.

2.5 stars, just because there's not much to it. It's sweet and I enjoyed the humor, but it's really just one scene. I read it for free (and it's on K/U) so it was enjoyable, but I would have been upset if I'd paid for it. Nice setup but no real payoff...

I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. It was a nice short story but nothing really interesting about it. A boy named Jonah, who is secretly and hopelessly in love with another boy named Peter, meets a pixie named Cador who is set out to do one good deed. Naturally the pixie helps the two boys get together through a series of mishaps and then they go out on a date. There wasn't really anything about this story that grabbed my attention. It was a little humorous but the

“Cador followed Jonah’s gaze, his eyes widening. “Oh, pluck me! A handsome human indeed. Just look at the size of him. I could use his toenail clippings as a picket fence.”
