Can Santa find you even if you are stuck in a motel room on Christmas Eve? A room without a chimney or a mailbox with your name on it? A winsome story, marvelously detailed illustrations and just a touch of magic make this handsome book ideal for sharing at holiday time.

On Christmas Eve a boy, his siblings, and his parents pile into the car and travel to Aunt Cleo's house...but a winter storm grows wild and the family must stop at a motel for the night. Can Santa still find them? The boy stays up and watches for Santa out the window. His wishes come out of his mouth as fog and float into the sky. But will Santa see his wishes?

The highlight of this book are Clapp's illustrations because they extend beyond the text and a depth that the story line is lacking.
