It was just one time. Our little secret. One wild night with my new boss. Hot, jaded, Adam is irresistible and so off-limits. He’s fresh off a bitter divorce, not looking for a relationship. I’m focused on my internship and trying to start my career. Until that first blazing kiss. We swear it’ll never happen again. But this attraction is explosive. It’s too complicated, too messy. And that’s before I find out I’m pregnant with his baby. I can’t tell him—thanks to his gold-digger ex, since he already believes women are only after his money. So, I’ll just keep my little secret for now, and try my hardest to keep my hands off my sinfully sexy boss. But sooner or later my secret will come out. And I might lose more than just my job.

Adam is jaded towards women after two years of marriage and a drawn out divorce. He's been sticking to one night stands and that's all fine with him. Then he rescues one of his interns, Mindy, from a pushy guy and brings her to his place for coffee. One thing leads to another and their mutual attraction has them ending up in bed together. What happens when Mindy finds out she's pregnant? Will Adam think she did it on purpose? Will she even tell him? This is a wonderful story and I highly recommend it!
This is just one of those books that you get to the end and you wonder what the point of it was. This whole thing is just endless and endless rehashing of the same thing over and over and over again. Nothing interesting happens. It's just Adam dealing with his ex-wife and his feelings about his ex-wife and their divorce, and Mindy wondering how to tell Adam about the baby without making herself look like a gold digger so she can keep her job.
There is no heat or chemistry to this relationship. There's very little build up before they get it on. It doesn't even make sense why Adam took Mindy back to his place. Then it take another 75% of the book before they even really talk to each other again.
And did anyone else find it gross that when Adam thinks about the fact that he didn't wrap it up when they had sex, he thinks about how his other one-night stands were on birth control and didn't mind him not wearing a condom?
Hope Mindy got an STD test at some point.
There were also a lot of inconsistencies that drove me nuts. Like, Adam keeps talking about how Designed for You is his company, and he's the president of the company, and he takes time off work whenever he needs to fight his ex in court....but then he's worried he'll get fired if anyone finds out he slept with Mindy. Pretty sure if it's your company, then the hiring and firing would be up to you big guy.
And at the beginning of the story, Mindy mentions how she read up about Adam and learned he got divorced earlier in the year, but when the psycho ex shows up and says she's still married to Adam, she actually believes her?
It just all feels kind of lazy and pointless. The relationship never really goes anywhere, and the characters aren't very interesting or exciting. And the steam level is at best a 0.5.
I have been a fan of Ms. Natasha Black for quite some time and she has never disappointed me with any of her work. Boss's Secret Baby For Christmas is just another example of her gift at crafting superbly designed romance, for each of us romance junkies to devour.
I try not to give away any part of the plot, so that I do not ruin it for other readers & with that being said, here it goes...
Within Natasha's release, you are introduced to Adam, a recently divorced man as well as Mindy, his newest intern. After dissolving his marriage, Adam remains standoffish and only uses women for one thing, and it's not a relationship. Mindy, the newest intern, almost immediately, falls under Adam's spell and trust me, their chemistry is not only mutual, but explodes into an incredible one-night-stand. Little did Adam know that, he was leaving something behind. How will Mindy cope when she finds out, and how can she tell her Boss, without him thinking she's a gold digging bi$#h, like the rest of them? Who knew that in rescuing a damsel in distress, Adam would find the love of his life? Follow along as these two characters find their way to their, much deserved, happily ever after.
I requested an advanced readers copy of Boss's Secret Baby For Christmas in exchange for my honest & voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything published by Ms. Black.
This is an awesome read. They characters get actual development and even though they don’t have a lot of interaction at first they don’t just hop into bed. At least not at the office.
We get to know that Adam has been divorced for 6 months. It was a messy divorce and his ex wife is still trying to bleed his dry. This has left him extremely bitter and he is unable to trust anyone, instead he looks at them and only sees how they could use him.
Mindy is an intern. Her dream is to be a big designer someday so she’s planning on trying extremely hard to make this a permanent position. She makes friends with another intern even knowing they’re competing for the same job.
When Adam rescues Mindy at the bar after a guy comes on too strong they end up falling all over each other. What seemed to be a happy one night experience suddenly changes a month later when Mindy realizes she’s pregnant.
Watching as these two navigate the rocky road to an actual relationship is an experience everyone should read. The complexity of all the various relationships in this book can be a bit dizzy. At times you may want to scream at someone or reach in and shake some sense into them. You’ll love them, you’ll hate them and then love them again. Overall a great story.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
Mindy is just starting an internship and wants to show that she is a hard worker so that maybe she'll earn a permanent job. However on her first day she see her boss as he walks in and he is sexy as hell and just as tempting. When she and a fellow worker go out to the bar her best friend works at after work they see their boss there. Stunned they ask Mindy's friend about him being there and learn that he comes there frequently. Its not long before Mindy and Adam find themselves at the bar alone and drawn to each other. One thing leads to another and they end up at his place. However the next day neither wants to talk about what happened and wants to pretend it never happened. They almost get their wish until Mindy finds out that she's pregnant and has an accident and needs Adam. What will he say about the baby? Will he believe her about it being his?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
The Intriguing Chemistry Between the Protagonists. The Boss, Adam and the Design Intern, Mindy are instantly attracted to each from the beginning of her internship, but they conflicted to do doing anything about. The storyline centers around what will they do, any consequences, and any aftermath. The characters in this story were believable and well-rounded. Adam came across as very sensitive to his environment, and for very good reasons. Mindy was presented as a person with high moral standards and so was conflicted about her actions until coming to terms with them. The supporting characters were well written as well and offered some good comic relief and well as good sounding boards. The storyline was well written and laid out logically which allowed the chapters to flow nicely from one to the next one. In conclusion, I’m recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Having read the book I felt satisfied. Just one side comment: I’m fascinated that in this day and age authors still use the phrase, “sleep/slept together” when we know no sleeping took place. 😉 Peace.
This book was so promising. I was pulled by the whole work office secret romance and it started pretty strong... and then.. the characters were trapped in their own head.
Adam has trust issues, which is expected, since his divorce was difficult. His ex, was manipulative and only interested in his money. Mindy is sweet, crushing on her boss while making a path for herself.
The book was so focused on what was right, was wrong. I didn't feel the connection between Adam and Mindy. They had chemistry, but an actual connection was clouded on what they mentally struggled with. Then there was Mindy's best friend. She was unnecessarily over the top. I liked her and then I didn't.
I wasn't a fan that in a matter of two very brief chapters and an epilogue everything was solved. This was also ANOTHER story in which Christmas was briefly mentioned, but not actually surrounded around the holiday.
If you like a book with little chemistry and a lot of fluff... then this book is for you.
This is a good boss/intern romance. The more experienced, bitter and divorced Adam is immediately attracted to his new intern, the young, girl next door, innocent Mindy. Their sexual tension is thick as they try to control their reactions to each but, when Mindy finds herself in an threatening situation she grabs her opportunity to act on her desires with Adam. It only gets more sticky from there when you throw in a selfish and greedy ex-wife and an unplanned pregnancy.
The only drawback for me was the lack of Christmas in the titled Christmas romance. It is only casually mentioned as a point of reference to Mindy's internship and that really is misleading - to me at least. I like a good Christmas story with holiday spirit and cheer where it is a part of the story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Mindy is an intern who finds her sexy boss hot. Adam is not looking for anything but a fling, and even though he knows it is wrong, he can’t help but lust after his intern. The pull between them is electric and she gives in even though she knows, after his recent devastating divorce, he is not interested in anything more than sex. Things seem to be complicated now but they are about to get even more.
This is one sexy, steamy, hot, contemporary, forbidden office romance. The characters are wonderful, the personalities pull you and you can not help be want them to find happiness. The story flows smoothly with emotional drama, sexual encounters and the obstacles they face both internally and externally. Happiness will only come if the can deal with their own insecurities and fears. I found this to be a heart warming well written book.
This is a well written book with strong , well developed characters in Mindy, the intern and Adam, her boss. They have an instant attraction and have what they decide is a one night stand but the chemistry is too hot to stay apart. Now they have a surprise for Christmas. The author does a great job building the story and pulls you in with all the drama and sexual tension as well as watching their growing feelings of love. The story moves at a steady pace with the author delivering a beautiful ending. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

Hot holidays!! This is an intern falling for her off limits, hot older boss. Adam doesn't trust women after his divorce from his crazy ex and never plays at work, but there is something about Mindy that he can't resist. He thinks that if he has her just once she will be out of his head. It sounded good in theory but now he thinks about her 24/7, but purposely stays away from her. Mindy isn't thrilled, but she gets it. Things are ok until she finds out she is pregnant. Que the drama, crazy ex, misunderstandings and passion that come out! Great story!
Adam is big, handsome, recently divorced, and CEO of his advertising company. He is also Mindy's boss at her new internship she gave up her high paying job to start. These two have hot chemistry when they meet. He saves her from a creepy guy at a bar near the workplace. The fast action plot scoops the reader along in a page-turning fury. A great read! Minimum seasonal involvement, maximum boss-employee involvement! I volunteered this review from an ARC.
The h behaved like a high school girl-sleep with a man she meets in a bar; gets pregnant; makes the ‘mature’ decision to not tell the father of her baby. I have no idea why. The truth finally comes out. The H handles it gracefully. The h, panics, runs, hides, ‘gets scared’, at every turn. Finally, the big hea. It’s a total fizzle. It had great potential, is the best thing I can say.
Usually errors don't bother me too much, but this book had a lot of content errors and inconsistencies. As a quick example the H was texting the h's best friend and then he hangs up with her. Plus I felt the characters were really inconsistent with their behavior and reactions. Especially Adam, who was supposed to be jaded, but it was almost like he kept forgetting that and then reminding himself. Would have had more impact if he WAS jaded and then won over, and not so wishy-washy.
What should have been a simple one-night stand ends up complicated. First, there's the fact that Adam and Mindy had a lot of chemistry that kept pulling them together. Then there's the little secret Mindy's trying to keep. Secrets always come out and Mindy can only hide a "bump" so long. Will it drive Adam away or make him realize what is truly important to him?
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh Adam, why are you so off limits...well having a crazy ex wife and trying to run a Company doesn’t help. Now your life is going to change forever. Mindy the new intern is about to Rock your world. All she wants is to do well and oh boy she. Too well, she ends up getting more attention from Adam than she realises and now they are going to get a surprise baby. A brilliantly written story, loved it
The plot is very interesting hence borrowing the book. The book consists of stories which is kind of boring, rather than dialogs. The hero who is supposed to be a CEO of a company seems to be indecisive for a CEO and the heroine is a spoiled girl completely the opposite of her profile who is supposed to be an ideally se able girl. I wouldn't recommend the book. Unless the readers have a loyalty sense to the author.
This was okay at best. It was getting annoying with Money constantly second guessing everything. Who did neither one of them think to use protection on the first time they had ever been in a social gathering. The love scenes were lackluster. Also why would she serving guess his devotion when she stayed in his penthouse for days and he recommended it after he dropped everything to me at the hospital with her.
The last thing Mindy had planned was an affair with her boss when she started working. He is fresh off of a divorce and his belief in women was at an all-time low. Their chemistry was hot enough to send rockets into space and when the inevitable happens, Mindy will be caught in a place where she is damned if she does or don't. Will she and Adam have a chance for a happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Predictable, but appealing characters 3.5 I liked this romance mainly because its characters are endearing. However, some passages stretch a bit in tergiversations on the questions "I tell him/her, I don't tell him/her", and the intern / boss romance remains predictable. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
The excitement of an internship, one you are hoping can lead to a permanent job at the end of time commitment. Your dreams, goals, wants are within reach ; until something happens that Mindy feels could put her internship at risk. The head of company may or may not have some decisions to make. Read on, great story of true dedication.💓
Mindy is determined to be successful in her career in her own merits. Adam, her boss, is a blond god. Both are attracted to each other, but do not want to get too involved. Adam went through a horrible divorce and doesn't want a relationship. I like how they are forced to work through their feelings.
Cute story but too much repetitious back and forth! Adam: Should I pursue her or leave her alone? Will it put her job at risk? Too late, she's already pregnant.
Mindy: Should I tell Adam about the baby since I already told Risa and Vera? Should I just find a new job? Who really thinks I'm a gold digger? His dishonest ex-wife or Adam himself? Seriously People??? Make up your mind!!!!
It seems like I constantly forget who are my favorite authors. I've read books by this author and have never developed a connection with the characters. The writing is kinda choppy to me and the story progresses without no strong development to the storyline. I need to remember next to to click. Sorry 😢
This book is meh for me. I got bored and couldn't connect with the characters, so it felt really long despite being very short. Consequently, it took me the same amount of time to read a book that is double the size of this one. Kinda sad that we didn't get to see the baby. Overall, this book wasn't it for me.
Mindy has big plans for her future and a one night stand with her boss who’s scarred and a little jaded after a bitter divorce changes everything. A forbidden romance, a secret baby, and steamy chemistry makes Adam and Mindy’s unique love story an entertaining read.
This is a wonderful well-written secret baby romance, the storyline is fast-paced with really wonderful characters. The chemistry between Adam and Mindy was sizzling and yet sweet and romantic. Highly entertaining.
This book was not a Christmas romance story. It mentioned Christmas was coming and that was it. The main characters were ok. The ex wife was greedy. Risa was a good friend. Not sure who was telling the ex about him but it may have been Wendell or Vera.
A good boss/intern office romance. Adam is very jaded after his divorce and doesn't let anyone in but when he meets the right person, will he let his guard down?? A well written story with good characters.
