This was quite cute.
Plus it has Kirk facing a lady of equal rank, ability, temper and daring.
Interesting idea.

This is great back story which would have made a rather good episode. From TOS to star trek 4 the voyage home . Nice read

A fast-paced, fun romance that takes its characters seriously as people

Loved it! Paul Cornell takes us on a whirlwind tour of a romance for James T. Kirk that spans the five-year mission and the TOS movies, taking him from young Captain to Admiral to Captain again, and chronicling his involvement with Captain Laura Rhone- a lady who is every bit his equal.
