When Tamara Jacobi approached Chrysalis Editorial for writing assistance, I knew she was determined and passionate about writing the story about how she became a wild entrepreneur. In her memoir/how-to, Wildpreneur, she discusses the ups and downs of her entrepreneurial efforts and provides a guide for how to pursue a life outside the bounds. That is, leaving soul-crushing jobs behind and bringing your dreams to fruition. Wildpreneurs offers practical wisdom on how to transform your passions ...more

Loving the book! It strikes a real nice balance between igniting the adventurous spirit while also encouraging slowing down to the think, play, and plan. Some great wisdom weaves throughout the writing in a uniquely integrated and authentic way which cuts through the competition typified in a cookie cutter business book. And after reading the beginning, I can tell it's a journey of transformation, entering int the unknown and learning how to live and lead in your own authentic way. Learning how ...more

This books speaks to a a whole generation of unconventional thinkers - these are the people that are creating the world of our future. I feel personally connected to Tamara because she is able to accurately share what it feels like to go through the emotional ups and downs of entrepreneurship. I love all the reflection questions peppered throughout the book - it helps you immediately use what you are learning. My favorite chapter is the one on biomimicry - I love the unique entrepreneurship ...more

Wildpreneurs can serve as a guide for business, community and for those seeking to enjoy the journey in finding profit, peace and pleasure.
This is a book that makes you smile, makes you think and makes you want to act!
From the visually appealing cover to the prominent reviews and fun photos on the back, I was engaged, entertained and educated throughout.
From a classroom setting to a bored retire wanting to get back to work - Wildpreneurs will inspire and delight anyone who reads it, no matter

Wildpreneurs was magic!! The stories, insights and question prompts reminded my inner compass to continue following my dreams, with a plan! I especially loved the short interviews with other self employed folks. Most of all, I could finally relate to an author who has a robust outdoor background, like I do, who combines wellness, self-employment & soul work.

A unique, provocative journey into ones soul. Tamara's ride through life is one that most people only dream about, but don't have the courage or faith in themselves to pursue. This read is a must for those of you who realize that life is precious and that we are all able to create our own realities.

Tamara does an awesome job in this half memoir, half how-to guide of weaving her personal experiences with solid business advice for those of us looking to pursue dreams that could never come to fruition inside the walls of a cubicle. It was light-hearted while still being honest and helpful. After reading, Im inspired to adventure more and to reach for my dreams! ...more

Love this book and the story it told. It was a bit different than what I expected in the business aspect but it tied the two together perfectly. This book is for people who are doing things outside the box. Great read!

Meh, wasn't for me. Her individual story is the most interesting part but it's cut off constantly by the interviews (which I didn't find too insightful) or other semi-related topics which made it hard to get into. For example, there was a long section about making your business green, which of course only applies to a handful of physical-space businesses.

The constant in-and-out of topics and narrative styles made it hard to get into for me so I ended up scanning the sections I wasn't interested

An inspirational and entertaining read that welcomes you into Tamaras colorful life and her jungle beach paradise successful business world whilst at the same time giving you the tools to craft your own dream into a sustainable business. Well written and includes lots of helpful tips from other Wildpreneurs who are creating their lives to be fueled by their passion so they never have to work again. Excellent, empowering book. ...more

I found this book to be more on the inspirational rather than practical side, based on the author and her familys experiences. There are many questions posed for the aspiring wildpreneur to consider, and it can certainly be said that this book was not authored by someone wearing rose-tinted glasses. It is evident that much was sacrificed and some really challenging circumstances were overcome to achieve the dream. Being prepared to adapt and change was a key contributor to the eventual outcome. ...more

Wow, what a book. If I had only had this book at my disposal when I was 20 it would have changed my life. Such an interesting story and journey the author takes you down, while at the same time laying out a detailed blueprint for following your dreams and passions. Good read and a must for any young person not sure what to do with their lifes.
