This heartwarming and funny Amish love story shows readers that it's never too late to find love. Set in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, the story follows Amos Fisher, a sixty-two-year-old bachelor who has never married. When he sees Nadine Burkhart for the first time, he instantly falls in love with her and feels that God wants them to be together. Another Wells Landing book? Yes please, I'll take it.
Romancing Nadine is the ninth book in the series and I really hope it continues.
I love the consistency of reading the Wells Landing books and being familiar with the characters and it's so much fun to get acquainted with the new characters as well.
Should a sixty something Amish widow, mother and grandmother be a sensible woman and leave love to the younger generation?
Farmer Amos Fisher definitely doesn't think so as he makes himself available

Romancing Nadine is another fun adventure in Wells Landing, OK Amish community. Nadine is not your young Amish woman seeking love in the story but in her 60’s with a different perspective on love. She loves her family and Amish heritage but she’s suffered loss and doesn’t want to do it again. Amos is a confirmed bachelor but believed God placed Nadine in his path when he returned to Wells Landing. The banter between Amos and Nadine brought true moments of amusement with them being determined in ...more

She's stubborn. He's in love. Can it all work out?

I have to admit that I'm quite surprised. Not by the fact that I like the story. Not by Amy Lillard's wonderful writing. Nope. Not at all. Romancing Nadine is the second story about the Burkhart women and features a grandmother in her mid-sixties. No, what surprised me was that despite the fact that she's literally twice my age I connected with Nadine even more than I did her granddaughter, who is much closer to my age, in the previous book. I enjoy taking trips to Wells Landing, a small community of both Amish and English. This trip I got to visit with Amos and Nadine. They were such a sweet pair. Senior citizens no less. Nadine had just had a birthday and turned 65. I could certainly relate because I’m 66. She got up every morning with her aches and pains and her woe is me as she looked in the mirror and noticed all her facial wrinkles. Being a widow, twice, she had no interest in men or romance.
Now I found it interesting that Am

This series just gets better and better. Wells Landing really is my happy place. I really liked the fact that this romance was between seniors. Amos sees Nadine and is smitten by the love bug for the first time. Nadine has already been a widow and thinks Amos is off his rocker.

What ensues is a sweet, funny, and entertaining love chase. With lifelike characters and realistic situations the story will draw you in and keep you wondering if poor Amos will ever win Nadine's heart.

So take a trip bac

Romancing Nadine is the latest story by Amy Lillard. Amy takes the reader back to Wells Landing and allows the reader to follow the romance of widower Nadine and bachelor Amos. Nadine is cautious because her life journey has already made her a widow. Amos a confirmed bachelor is struck by the love bug. This is a delightful escape to Wells Landing with characters you become friends with. Thanks to Amy Lillard for allowing me to read this book in advance of its release. This is an honest heartfelt ...more

It was so nice to have a romance between two older people. This proves that even at an older age people can find love. I love how Nadine is reluctant at first but then Amos comes in to her life and shows her that you can find love at any age. I love the characters and did not want to put this book down. I hope there are many more books in this series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Romancing Nadine is a sweet addition to the Wells Landing series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone novel or as a continuing part of the series.

I liked seeing this relationship between Nadine and Amos slowly blossom. Even as Nadine worked hard to keep her heart distanced from Amos, he was determined to win it. Nadine had one excuse after another for why they shouldn’t fall in love at their ages. I loved Amos’ perseverance, and really felt for him whenever he began to wonder if Nadine would ever

I loved this book, at times it had me laughing out loud, and I enjoyed the concept of an older couple. Now I'm familiar with most of the characters in this story, I have read all of the previous books! That being said this can be read along, there are several updates throughout!

Nadine Burkhart is a loving widow, twice actually, and now grandmother. She had love and she has her loving family to fill her days. However, her continual run ins with Amos Fisher slowly changes her life. Both Nadine and Amos are in their sixties, and Amos has never married. However, there is something special between them and Amos learns what it takes to begin courting Nadine.

As far as Amos is concerned, it is love at first sight. Not so much for Nadine, but there is something special about A

Fun and Entertaining

Romancing Nadine is another installment in Amy Lillard’s Wells Landing series. One of the things I love about this series is that each story is unique. Also, it’s fun catching up with characters from the prior books in the series. That being said, although it’s part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

So, what makes Romancing Nadine unique? For one, Nadine and Amos are not your typical characters found in a story about romance. The reason? Their ages. Both are in the

I absolutely adored this story because it is written by one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints me with her gift for satisfying my need for stories that have faith, unconditional love and inspiring characters. I cheered when I realized this would be about an older woman. Yes I can relate to the character’s age and I felt a calmness come over me as I became acquainted with Nadine.

Reading any book by Amy Lillard is a delight, but this one has extra sparkle and charm. I’ve especially enjoyed her “Wells Landing” series, and it was fun returning there again in this book.

This story is a little different than most Amish romance novels because the love story is between the two main characters who are in their sixties. Nadine has been widowed twice, and thinks that life and love has passed her by. Amos has never been married, or even been in love, but tumbles head-over-heals in

Although "Romancing Nadine" by Amy Lillard is the 10th novel in the " Wells Landing Romance" series., It is a book that was a joy to read. It can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I recommend reading all this series. Each book features the characters from the other books but focuses on a certain characters, that is why this series is so fantastic.

Romancing Nadine is Amy Lillard's newest release! This must-read book is part of The Wells Landing series.
Nadine Burkhart has been married twice, so when Amos Fisher insists that God's plans are for them to be together, Nadine can't believe it and tries to keep Amos as far away from her as possible. After all, she is in her sixties and doesn't have time for courting and everything that's involved in dating. Or, maybe she does? You will definitely want to check out this book and find out the rest

Amy Lillard takes us back to Wells Landing deep in the heart of Amish country. The rules are different here than most Amish communities but they do what works for for them. They are very open to new improved thinking.

Romancing Nadine was just a wonderful love story that captured my attention right away. This time the focus is on Jenna's Grandma Nadine. It's always good to read about someone close to my age and I loved that the focus was on a older couple and their struggles.

Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard is a fun story about finding love even when you are trying to keep it at bay. Nadine is a sixty five year old woman who has loved and lost two husbands. She isn't looking for a third. Amos Fisher, however, is convinced that God has placed them together for a reason. As she fights her feelings and he tries everything from flowers to candy to get her attention, the two will find that love is even more than they imagined. I love the continuity in this series, how the characters continue throughout subsequent books. Nadine is twice widowed and single. Amos has never married and feels that Nadine was meant to be his wife. Unfortunately Nadine is anything but willing to have Amos court her.

Such an engaging book, and not a dull moment to be found. This whole series has been so good and I have enjoyed each addition. I love how Jenna and Buddy are back and we get to see how things continue for them as well. You can rea

Clean Amish Romance

I received a free copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is a wonderful clean Amish romance between Nadine and Amos who are both in their sixties when they first meet. Nadine is twice a widow and Amos has never been married. It is love at first sight for Amos but Nadine is afraid to love because it is too painful when that person leaves. Amos tries everything to change Nadine ' s mind. Did he succeed in winning her love?

I loved Nadine and Amos’s story. Both in their sixties, Nadine been married before but Amos has not. She is just not sure about doing marriage again at her age.

I also enjoyed reading more about Jenna and the camel farm. The granddaughter of Nadine.

Romancing Nadine
Kudos again to Ms. Lillard for continuing the love stories of people that don’t fit the cookie cutter image of romance. Nadine is in her 60’s and sees herself as ‘past it’. Amos Fisher sees her as the answer to a lifelong prayer. Follow their journey that has many speed bumps along the way. Can Nadine let her guard down and open herself up again to the heartache of someday losing a husband she loves? Will Amos persist in spite of the cold shoulder he continuously gets from Nadine

WOW, what an amazing story this was!
It's almost like the author was in my life 29 years ago when I started dating my husband.
I saw so many of the same things happening to Nadine that I went thru back then.
If you want an amazing story this is the book for you!
I loved the entire Wells Landing series.
I have been a fan of this author for years, almost to the point of stalking her for her next books, LOL.
I am sure you will not be disappointed with any of the books written by Amy Lillard.

Cute old-age romance

Romancing Nadine is a cute old age romance. Some people give up on life's luster very easily at an early age. You can always feel young at heart at any age. We don't stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing.
The story is very conservative and old fashioned. People should do what makes them happy instead of following old traditional values or caring about what society would think. Love has no age, gender or race.
