They call me an outcast, weak.

I’ve fought my whole life for survival, running from an attack on my family I ended up hiding with the Ash Wolves. This one move might be my biggest mistake of all. And I’m the queen of mistakes…

I let them believe I’m broken, let them believe the lies. I let them believe anything they want…as long as it isn’t the truth.

I have been wanting to find out what happened with this missing omega ever since I read Andorra Sector so this couldn't come too soon for me.
So yeh this is a different author to that one but set in the same world.
This is a reverse harem read with I think 3 Heros for our Omega.
I say think as this is the first book in a duet and the story is yet to complete.
I was actually pleased with that fact as it meant this wasn't rushed this took its time to help forge that initial connection.
So, Meira, an om

My first read by this author and definitely NOT my last - especially as this one ends on a cliffie!

I came to this story via Andorra Sector by Lexi C Foss. We briefly met Dusan there, though Mila Young's clever world building and dissemination of information means you don't need to read that to understand and enjoy this. The small number of chapters in this did make me wonder how the author was going to convincingly write a reverse harem story in the available time, so I'm glad it isn't stand alo
This book is incomplete

I hate, Hate, HATE books that end in the middle of a peak! I thought this was going to be either a 4 or 5 stars but I cannot do it.

I was enjoying this story until it just ended, at 88% in the KU edition. That means I still thought I had two or more chapters to go through. The settlement is under attack, the Alphas realise something about Meira, Meira is deliberating her options, the infected are ripping people to pieces, then "CONTINUE THE STORY IN SHADOWLANDS SECTOR 2". Wolf shifted, fated mates, reverse harem.

What originally caught my attention is that it's a reverse harem with wolf shifters and, of course, fated mates! Really glad I started reading it.

I totally recommend Shadowland Sector if you love strong, independent main characters who are somehow special or unique. I love how Meira stands out from her kind (for better or for worse), and how distinct her relationship with each of her guys is. And despite the post-apocalyptic setting (not to mention the z

Not gonna lie, wasn't pleased with the cliffhanger, but I did love the men in this book and how fiercely protective they are, “sonofab***h!” A howl tears from my throat. “Lucien, let’s kill every mothereffing infected. Then, we’re claiming our mate.” I can't wait to see where the story leads. ...more

A surprisingly good new author to me😁

Andorra Sector started me off on my Zombie 2099 journey. Now admittedly, I don’t like Zombie stories but this is more about the shifters that live in a world of the infected and their interactions are minimal at times.....they do play a small background role❣️

That said, I was excited to find out more about the wolf shifter who escaped the shipment to Andorra Sector and I was pleasantly surprised to find another good, new to me, author👍 This book is the first

Normally, I liked to be warned when I am going to be left in a cliff hanger. I did not expect it with this book. With that being said, I enjoyed this book, I just really hope the next book is out sooner than later.

Mila Young created a fascinating world in the Shadowlands sector, entwining some of the previous characters from our other books in the series if you have been following along. We got to see the other side of a phone call that had me smiling. It always thrills me to see previous charac

Meira is a fighter, surviving on her own in the woods, away from all the packs seeking out females. Yet the day has come where she is captured by Dusan, the Alpha of the Ash Wolves and he takes a personal interest in her. Yet she believes she's a monster. Since she hasn't had her first transformation, it means her wolf is going to be feral and kill everything on sight. She can't let that happen. Bonding might save her, but she doesn't know what is more dangerous: the undead that wander the world ...more

I'm so excited! I didn't realize this was a spin off from a previous Zombie Year 2099 book! I was intrigued from the small snippets we got from Andorra Sector and I'm so glad we get a look into the flip side.

Meira is one badass. She has been on her own for so long while going through a horrible sickness. I loved her determination to be free, but I also loved that she gave in to the connections she felt. Dušan while he comes off a bit cold hearted at first, you learn he's a very great Alpha. He

I loved this book... I'm obsessed with all things Zombie Year 2099'... I've been anxiously awaiting Shadowlands Sector after finishing the Andorra Sector and Mila Young did not disappoint! From beginning to end I was hooked by Meira and her journey. There was so much supernatural goodness, lots of secrets, twists and turns and THAT ENDING! I may or may not have launched my kindle clear across the room! & I regret nothing because this book was SO GOOD! Honestly, this was my first read from Mila Y ...more

This is a new author to me and I definitely will be reading more of her work! This book is suspenseful and intriguing and I just couldn’t put it down. From the beginning I was obsessed with Meira’s journey. She is all alone when she goes through her sickness and my heart breaks for her but I adore her determination to be free. She meets Dusan and as they say the rest is history, or not. Meira has this strong pull towards Dusan, but she also feels it with the two alphas under him Lucien and Bard ...more

Another incredible RH story from Mila! I was a bit apprehensive with this one, as I'm not fond of zombie themed books/movies, but I was still excited to read it. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. While the story is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where zombies currently reign supreme, it is in fact a shifter story while the zombies are largely in the background. And what steaming hhhhhhot shifters they are! If you like fated mates, kickass FMC's, hot alphas with primal instincts, secrets, ...more

Having read Andorra Sector by Lexi C. Foss which is set in the same universe as Shadowlands Sector, I was more than happy to read this book.

I was really intrigued to find out about Dusan, Meira and the rest of the Ash Wolves. Having seen a snippet mentioned in Andorra Sector, I couldn’t wait to find out what they were going to get up to when given their own story. and this author did them justice.

There was chemistry, intrigue, tension and great world-building. From the very first chapter, i was

After being introduced to Dusan and Mad in Lexi C. Foss’s “Andorra Sector” I knew I had to read Shadowland Sector. I had to see what the wolf who caught the stern Alpha’s eye would be like. Meira is a spitfire, but hiding from the world and adept at avoiding the undead who roam the woods she calls home. After escaping the plane set to take her to Andorra Sector, Dusan sets out to find her. Her escape, after all, puts his trade deal with Andorra Sector in jeopardy. The second his wolf scents hers ...more

I grabbed this book after it was recommended in a recent Lexi C Foss read. I am so glad! It’s fantastic. Great original storytelling with plenty of heat, emotions and an ending that had me immediately grabbing book 2.

A fantastic RH shifter book. It has all the dirty slick and knotting we dirty readers love. Tons of action and mystery and hot AF alphas. It’s brilliant.

I dove into this book with high hopes because it was recommended to me with glowing praise. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disagree with most—if not all—of the reviews.

General review: It's a fast-paced book that fails to pull together all the strings it dangles into a neat little bow. It ends on a sort-of cliffhanger, but there is no concise world-building that allows the reader to fully immerse themselves in the world. Characters' personalities are vague and frustratingly inconsistent. Th
Shadowlands Sector is a new series by Mila Young and it’s a book that you aren’t going to want to pass up! This author gives readers shifters and zombies in a dystopian post-apocalyptic paranormal romance that is truly hard to put down once you pick it up. The only way I put this book down was that I fell asleep reading it. I promise you…it’s really good! I was just exhausted. Lol!

Shadowlands Sector by Mila Young is part of the Zombie Year 2099 collection and is book 1 in part of a series. The book focuses on Meira, a young woman who witnesses the death of her mother and community by the hands of the Shadowland Beasts (zombies). Left alone, she escapes into the woods where she lives by herself for many years until she is captured by the Ash Wolves who trade in females, especially those with wolf genetics. The Shadowlands Sector trilogy by Mila Young was an enjoyable reverse-harem, fated-mates, post-apocalyptic story.

The characters and plot that Young created held my interest, leaving me wishing that their story didn’t end so quickly. This book exuded potential, to the point where I feel be

Part of the ZombieYear2099 omega verse collection; Shadowlands Sector is Mila Young’s introduction to us of the Ash Wolves shifters in this RH novel. There’s a bit of an enemy to lovers feel to the beginning of this story. Meira is an unmated Omega who’s just been captured by Alphas of the Ash Wolves clan in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. She’s definitely not a meek, submissive doormat of a heroine which I love. Then there are the Alphas, who have the perfect amount of a tender side paired wi ...more

WOW! I have not read any of the Zombie Year 2099 series', but this book makes me want to read some of the others. It was interesting and kept my full attention to the point that I couldn't sleep until I finished it.

I loved Meira, she is such a strong and independent character that you can really feel for and connect with. Her interactions with her potential alphas is intriguing and really builds them up, while trying to help her with her wolf issues. This book does leave us with several question

I don’t usually read a lot of omega books, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it is set in a post-apocalyptic European world with infected shadow monsters (Zombies) at every turn. FMC, Meira is one strong and wild Omega that has kept herself alive to only then be captured by Ash wolves pack. I love that a locked door never stops her, but there is something different about her that I could not wait to find out. Connection between Meira and her wolves is quite quick and strong (omega verse) and lo ...more

This story takes place in the future . It’s the first in a series. It’s a reverse Harem story Mila You g wrote a story that is realistic and detailed. On the fence...

I don’t tend to like zombie stories because they’re all the same. And yet, this one is different in a way that had me hooked. The story is action-packed and full of life. And the ending ends on one hell of a cliffhanger that would have me screaming if I didn’t know the next book was already out.

However, I’m struggling, because I wanted the FMC to fight more. I wanted her character to be stronger, better, in a way that the story doesn’t allow. She submits to her libido and that th

There’s something so refreshing about a badass Omega that doesn’t fit the typical “submissive” role. Add in three hot af alphas and my little reverse harem loving heart is in heaven.

I’ve previously read books by Lexi C Foss that are also set in this particular Omegaverse and I must say that this book is an incredible start, and a great addition to, the verse.

Not gonna lie, I love that this is a zombie apocalypse trope. It's always fun to see a current or post-apocalyptic story that isn't dysto

After I read "Playing with Hellfire", I wanted, no correction, I needed to read more of Mila Young.

But who combines zombies with werewolves? Do I really want to read this? I am not a fan of zombies.

And OMG, I am so glad I did this. Coming home from a pre-Halloween event, I started this book. It captured me right from the beginning. And I ended up reading it on two sittings. I am so glad I decided to read this.

The heroine is bad-ass. She does in general not want or need rescuing. Her alpha males
I didn't make it very far into this. It's important to note that the writing is pretty good. I had to dnf because I just can't get into a romance where the love interests are sex traffickers that see women as things. I was hoping it would change, though I wasn't sure it would be possible to forgive seeing women that way (even if they changed their view of the h), but then I read a few reviews and it appears that they will not be redeemed. I think this series is probably more for the readers who ...more
