A bit long for very young children but it was funny.

When Santa needs a new suit, he opts for something less traditional to the displeasure of all.

This story raises the philosophical question: Is a Santa suit still a Santa suit if it is not red with white trim? Is Santa still Santa if he's dressed in purple plaid?

Young readers will be highly amused by Santa's decision to break with tradition and satisfied with the resolution.

I have actually had this book for a long time. I have a soft place in my heart when it comes to this book. My sister Denise gave this book to me when my children were little, so this is a book that usually gets read once a year. I read it to a couple of neighbor kids today and it brought back fun memories. It is hard not to fall in love with this book especially if you are reading it to children, because their reactions to the different suits that Santa tries on is always spectacular and there is lots of laughing. Children and Christmas really do go together.

Very cute story about Santa and his red suit. Christmas wouldn't be the same if Santa changed his suit! Great Holiday book for children. Would be great right before Christmas break. This book could even be used for a math game on how many times "red" was used.

Santa buys a suit that isn't very Santa-like. Luckily, Mrs. Claus reminds him how wonderful he looks in his red suit. This is a cute story with cute illustrations.

For those familiar with the Accelerated Reader Program, this is a level 2.1 book.

Sometimes, traditions shouldn't be changed. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Santa's classic red suit. All of his suits are messed up, but what will everyone think about the new suit Santa buys? Maybe somethings shouldn't change. ;)

A book my 6 yr old as well as my twin 3 yr olds loved. A solid reading level 1 book, this cute story keeps all ages engaged with the bright colorful pictures and cute story. A great addition to any children's library.

It's a cute story, with funny illustrations. It amused the 5 yr old I read it to enough, that the next day she mentioned it. Something about the tone and trying on of outfits reminded me of Old Hat New Hat

Santa thinks that it is time for a new suit--and one that isn't red! When he makes the switch the elves, reindeer, and the public are upset! What will Santa do? Kind of funny...

Santa is tired of his red-and white getup, so he tried a crazy purple plaid number instead-- but then nobody knows who he is! Mrs. Claus comes to the rescue.

A cute story! What happens when Santa's suits are all worn out or dirty? What will Santa do?
