The first 84 pages is about how Glen Hyde and his Super DC-3 airplane became involved in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. There is a chapter about how Super DC-3 aircrafts came to be. The rest of the chapters are side stories of people involved directly with Angel Flight 44; a section about Operation Blessing International and their disaster relief work; additional information about Kenneth Copeland Ministries involvement with Angel Flight 44; and a few chapters by Kenneth Copeland about Hurricane Katrina and relief work.

What I liked best about this book is the section on Glen Hyde preparing his plane and the initial involvement in the relief work. It was very interesting and inspirational.

I was surprised that the book never mentioned how Angel Flight 44 got its name. It is mentioned how 44 meant something to Pastor Larry Roques but nothing about how the number was chosen for the name. I found it puzzling that the reason behind the name was never explained.

In book Glen Hyde mentions contacting someone he knew in the Marines who is now 2nd in command. He spoke with someone in his office and leaves a message for his friend. Later, he uses this connection to keep using the Slidell Airport when the Marines tell him they are taking over. Throughout the story I wondered if his friend ever called him back.

Overall I think this is a good book to read for those interested in Christian ministry relief work.

Taken from the front cover:"The true Story Of Two Dedicated Pilots, a 60 yer old airplane, and the amazing Hurricane Katrina Mission That birthed a New Aviation Ministry. " Pilot Glen Hyde and copilot Denny Ghiringhelli delivered free medicines, flood and relief supplies to victims of hurricane Katrina.
If you are into aviation then the first few chapters are for you. It does get preachy but it a book about ministry work so it is to be expected. Very open and honest on what went wrong and what went right on their efforts. Some very eye opening accounts on what happen before, during and after the Hurricane.
