Maria Ashley Eckstein (née Drane; born September 22, 1981), credited as Ashley Eckstein or Ashley Drane, is an American actress, voice actress, and fashion designer, known to audiences of Blue Collar TV and as the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars Forces of Destiny. She also played a small role as Alicia in the film Sydney White and as Ms. Cole in the film Alice Upside Down, with both films being released in 2007. Eckstein also had a recurring role as Muffy on the Disney Channel sitcom That's So Raven.

I found there to be a conflict between explaining who a Padawan is and telling Asoka's story. There really needed to be a choice between the two. I love Asoka's story but don't find it to be an ideal Padawan story. So from that perspective, the title of this book is very misleading.

If you think about it as Asoka's story, then the lessons imparted in this book are good ones.

I went through my copy of this on May the 4th while Ashley Eckstein read it live on her instagram, so while I'm no qualified judge of Little Golden Books I'd say it was a lovely experience and I'm glad I've got the book.

Really cute book and my 3yo loves looking at Star Wars characters, but the language is pretty out there and very Star Wars specific. I think Star Wars fans will love it but a little too much like an encyclopedia for children.

Another good Golden Book, which will put a smile on some kid's face. I remember reading Golden Books as a child in the 1970s. I would have been so happy if there were Star Wars stories to read. This was short and sweet, yet it told a lot about Ahsoka, who is a great character.

While Ahsoka’s experience as a padawan is not typical and is, therefore, not representative, she is a fan favorite.
