Rachel Ford-Talbot has nothing to do with her family or their pharmaceutical business. And she likes it that way. As one of four partners who own an internationally renowned security business, Rachel prefers to leave her past, with all its secrets, deeply buried.

But when a series of thefts reveal that the family business is being targeted for industrial espionage, her fa

Thank you Xpresso and the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

By: Janet Elizabeth Henderson

Janet Elizabeth Henderson is new to me, and I'm surprised I haven't read any of her work already. Rich is an engaging read with a memorable heroine. Rachel is one of the strongest female leads I have read lately. She's got the fierce fearless attitude that is necessary to hold your own, which she does, and that is admirable.

Fast-paced whodunnit romantic comedy that hooks you from go.

This book starts out in a flashback revealing that the female lead was raped and blackmailed ten years prior. That worried me for the tone of the book, because I tend to associate this author with comedy, and starting off with a segment like that was hard to read. However, it set the stage for a book that perfectly walked the balance of respecting a dark topic while liberally adding comedy, a fierce heroine, a supportive hero, and an e

Janet Elizabeth Henderson is a master at romantic comedy and this one definitely does not disappoint.

She has secrets, and she has the training to uncover them.

One day, Rachel Ford-Talbot was set on becoming CEO of her families pharmaceutical company. The next she wanted nothing to do with them. And no one knows why. Which is exactly how she wants to keep things.

That's why going undercover to find a thief in her family's business is more dangerous than everyone thinks. Because Rachel knows ther

I could not put this book down, I was completely engaged from the beginning. Rachel is a tough sharp-tongued Prada and Louboutin wearing partner in the Benson Security Firm loaded with highly trained ex-military, ex-CIA, and ex-police staff. She is also the daughter of a very wealthy English family. Her family pharmaceuticals business has a serious security breach and only Rachel can help. Unfortunately, she left the business to protect her family 10 years earlier and knows returning has the pos ...more

This book was beyond amazing and truly the best book I have read since Ms. Henderson's last book. Rage had it all from mystery and sexy romance to drama and so much more. I laughed and cried my way through this read and honestly could not stop reading from beginning to end. I have been so looking forward to Rachel's story and learning why she tends to be the bi**ch she is really helped to fill all the missing pieces we learn about her in the other Benson Security books. I felt like I knew her al ...more

First let me say that if you haven’t read any of Janet Elizabeth Henderson’s books, why not? However, that said, this is a standalone book. I’m sure after you’ve read it you will want to read all of the previous books and find out about all of the characters that are in this book.
When Janet said she was going to tackle doing a book on Rachel, I could not imagine how she could do that fiery alpha female justice. More than my imagining has just come to life. I’ve read this book twice in the past 2

Janet Elizabeth Henderson improves with each book she writes. RICH still has her trademarks: vividly scripted scenes, well developed characters, witty dialogue, sizzling sex scenes and many laugh-out-loud moments. But it is so much more!

Janet takes a very sensitive topic, the rape of a young woman, and shows the world that the shame of the act lies with the perpetrators not the woman. She conveys that this person is a survivor, still strong, still perfect, still loveable.  Janet's delicate hand

What a great, great ride!

Don't let the cover, somehow ordinary, to disarm you! Don't let the blurb disarm you either! (even if it's better than many other blurbs there that say too much). Rich was good entertainment! I liked enough to bypass my daily duties and stay glued to the laptop screen to read it. And I really, really don't like to read PDF books on my laptop!

Anyway, I think that there are very big chances for you to enjoy it too. I mean, what's not to like? Strong heroines but still vuln

Fabulous book. I couldn’t put it down. This is my favourite book of Janet’s. Harvard and Rachel both rock. I cried I giggled and I cried some more.

I read this in one day! It has so much action along with romance. I love getting to know more about each of the characters and see all the ways they interact and grow. This might be my favorite but I think I say that after every book from JEH. She is the queen of romantic action!

Ice Queen finds her King Consort

I did not expect to adore Rachel Ford-Talbot!!

You discover that part of her past that formed her hard shell.

She's been the icy, cold, snobbish b*tch in the previous books that you could end up hating but there have been glimmers of more.

And I'd be an ice queen too had I woken up with no memory of what happened to me, with nothing but pictures and a threat. Her entire future changed in one night.

And how could she be completely horrid if Harry likes her? There i

5 star review of Rich (Benson Security #5) by Janet Elizabeth Henderson

Janet Elizabeth Henderson is a new author to me and I have no idea why I have not come across her before. This book reeled me in and I was hooked from the first to the last chapter. A slightly dark, romantic comedy with a touch of suspense that ticked the boxes.

Although the book starts off with a confronting scene, it did not set the tone for the book. I will say that the author did a credible job and ensured that it was ha

I received a free copy from the author in exchange for this impartial review.

What can I say about “Rich” by Janet Elizabeth Henderson? As a huge fan of Henderson’s work, I thought I knew Rachel from previous books, but I found out I really didn’t know her at all. I must admit, I didn’t care for Rachel before “Rich” and now, “Wow!,” I’m so proud of her. Without giving away anything, I don’t know if I could’ve been as strong as Rachel.
With the subject matter tackled in “Rich,” Henderson sensitiv

Janet Elizabeth Henderson. For people who haven’t read any of her books, this is a good time to start and I guarantee you will have read them by this time next month.
Now, Rich! (Sighs). See, Rachel is a regular in Benson Security series; I have had to get used to her. Rachel is the kind of woman you love to hate though I doubt anyone could actually get around to doing it. Let’s just say Rachel is a world class bitch who takes immense pride in being one. She is a brutally honest, sarcastic, take

Another great one by Janet!

A whodunnit with action and comedy. I love Rachel's sarcastic whit and how well Harvard can take her in stride and dish it right back. She is a strong female character that knows what she wants and will do whatever she has to do to get it. Harvard is just the guy to handle that with his calm logical reasoning. As they work together and learn to be a team they catch the culprit and solve a crime that changed her life. This is a standalone book but once you read it you

I loved how this story came together! Thanks, Janet, for keeping Rachel strong and "herself" throughout her story. We just knew that Rachel had to be a complicated character with the way she has this total take-charge, don't-mess-with-me attitude that's been present throughout the entire Benson Security series. You did a fantastic job of merging her early, University-time life with what she made of herself from that point forward. I thought the sticky topic of her rape and subsequent blackmail w ...more

I am always surprised when I read Janet’s books. She has a way of making you feel like you are in the story. From the first page you are sucked in and you don’t want to escape. When it ends you keep swiping or turning the pages because you want more and are disappointed when you know it’s over.
She took Rachel who is a character that is not easy to like and made her into someone I wanted to be. You really start to understand what makes this character the way she is by her past and her relationsh

Rich in laughter, rich in tears, rich in the way all great books are!! I couldn’t put it down and absolutely immersed myself in the feelings the writing evoked. This is a standalone book, but I have read and loved the whole series. In the previous books, the heroine of this book, Rachel, has been portrayed as a cold, arrogant woman who allows no one close. Rachel does do good deeds for people, but goes out of her way to be hateful to make up for those good deeds. Since the author is one of the b ...more

I've had a soft spot for prickly, standoffish Rachel for a long time, but now I've got a fully-developed, bona fide girl crush on this kicka$$ leading lady!

Patient, almost unflappable Harvard is her perfect counterpart, and I loved seeing him slowly, bit by bit, working his way behind Rachel's defenses.

While the story - like all Benson Security books - is dealing with some tough topics, I appreciate the way Janet Elizabeth Henderson handles the delicate balance between traumatic subject matter
Where do I begin?

This is a well-paced suspense-filled story filled with humour and heartfelt moments.

Janet always gives us alpha males who support their strong-willed women without expecting them to change—which is refreshing in this genre.

Rachel’s story dealt with an important and distressing issue that many women around the world face. The heroine shows strength as well as a level of vulnerability that suits her character and the situation.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Rich. I have been eagerly awaiting Rachel's book and I was not disappointed. Rachel is a very tough character with a delightfully acerbic wit. In previous Benson Security books you become aware of trauma in Rachel's past and though definitely traumatic, Janet handles it with a light touch, focusing on Rachel as a survivor rather than a victim and even when Rachel lets Michael in, it is done in such a way that it does not become overly distressing. Michael ("Harvard") ...more

Janet has done it again
Rachel is someone who you can't mess with, one of the partners of a security company has hardened her
But she knows when people r really distressed and when to let go some old grudges
It's a edge of the seat suspense.
Rachel tries uncover the secrets in her father's company , thereby opening a Pandora's box
How she and her her(her self appointed guard )manages the aftermath of it,forms the premise of this wonderful book

This is a really fantastic whodunit. There were so many twists and turns, and I had trouble putting it down. When I did finally have to go feed my family, I kept thinking about the mystery and about Rachel and Michael. I was particularly impressed with the way the author handled Rachel's character. I haven't liked her since I read Magenta several years ago, and I wondered how I was going to deal with a whole book of her. But in this book, we get to see her through Michael's eyes. If you have seen the other reviews then right away you know that once again, Janet has completed another perfect book. How does she keep doing it!

It's hard hitting and emotional at times, but what I loved about this book was Rachel's determination not to continue being a victim to something that happened in her past. Having always loved her sass, we are drenched in it in this rollercoaster story that shows us her diverse and at times eccentric family and we get a strong insight into Harvards min

I was given an advance copy of Rich to read and post my review! So here it goes....I’m giving Janet Elizabeth Henderson a standing “O” for this brilliantly written rollercoaster ride of emotions. She gave us Rachel the sharp witted, ball busting women who knows who and what she is. Then there’s Harvard an ex CIA agent who specialises in sharp witted, ball busting women. Rachel has to go home to help her families company, but she needs to go in undercover. She takes Harvard as her fake fiancé. Sh ...more

Well, Janet Elizabeth Henderson has done it again. I must admit, I have been having trouble getting into reading right now. My mind has been full of so many things BUT this book did it. I loved catching up with the familiar characters. I loved how she handled Rachel's backstory with such grace. And I loved how she writes the relationships...all of them - the sexy one, the friends one, the family one.
