What is a diary? It can be described as a personal book or even a safe space in which one can record one’s experiences, thoughts and ideas of both one’s outer and inner worlds. What is around us affects us. One aspect of outer world includes crime. This can take many forms: assault of all types, murder, and even fraud. Be it a differently-abled child or a woman undergoing domestic abuse, obsessive love that can lead to fraud and breakup of lifelong friendships or then honour killing - because you are not allowed to decide whom you can love and marry. Be it a modern world, urban or rural, every crime story affects us collectively.
This Diary Of Crime Stories is a collection of 3 gut-wrenching crime-reads that will leave you on the edge of your seat, with their colourful characters and shocking twists & turns, asking for more.

A Diary of Crime Stories is a beautifully crafted collection of three different stories. Each story is independently loaded with a different scenario related to crime.
The First Story – Humpty Dumpty Sat On The Wall is narrated from a baby’s POV who is dumb and deaf. The author has brilliantly exhibited the beauty of a child’s world. They are happy and have their version of it.
The Second Story is Mirror Image – A friendship turned into hatred and animosity to an extend of landing the protagonist behind bars.
The Third Story – The Day Blood flowed Like Water – Depicts love between two siblings; when traditions and customs weighed higher than human love.
My Favorite of all is Humpty – Dumpty, lively and had a feel of viewing from the child’s👀 eyes. 🕵️♀️The language is simple and lucid. 🕵️♀️Each story covered different socio-crime. 🕵️♀️The cover of the book is dark and eye-catchy. 🕵️♀️The writing style is crisp and thought-provoking.
I was a little disappointed as it ended early. With less than 40 pages, it is a quick and fast read.
Crisp, pacy short stories which are a refreshing take on what could happen in the day to day life.. my favourite would be Humpty Dumpty.. The third story is another take on a cliched topic but gives out a new situation. You feel for the characters in all three stories.. Your heart goes out to Kishan especially from the third story who has to go through the most unfortunate of situations. Overall a must read!!
The book is unputdownable, Right from the word go, it sucks you inside like the strongest magnet and stays with you even after the last word. I read the book in a single sitting. The first few lines are one of the best I have ever read. Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall... If you like crime stories full of gut wrenching suspense this one is definitely for you!
