This was incredibly awesome! I think the author had mentioned this was a mashup of cozy mystery and space opera and YES! What a perfect blend!

I absolutely LOVED Liz and her crew. I loved the development they had individually and as a crew. There adventures were definitely one-of-a-kind and made me lean forward, laugh, roll my eyes, and cheer. (I read this is one setting if that says anything!)

Truly, this was a fantastic reading experience! I want more of these characters and already keeping a

This book is exactly what I needed at the moment. I would say it's like "Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy" meets "3rd rock from the Sun." It has witty humor, lovable characters, and a cute story that leaves you with a feel-good ending. Even though the story is simplistic, the writing has much depth to it and the characters have many layers to explore, which kept me turning the pages and left me satisfied at the very end. If anyone is in need of a great comedy and witty humor, then this is your ...more

Space Murder is a twisted tale of murder and mayhem spread across stars. Captain Liz Laika has been pushed out on a ship that is falling apart with a crew of misfits no other Captain would take but she is making the best of it until she is framed for a murder she didn’t commit. Follow our intrepid Captain and her crew as they strive to stay alive while proving her innocence. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more.

Space Murder by N.L. Haverstock, is a fast paced murder mystery that keeps you guessing until the very last page.

Each chapter is perfectly crafted to flow into the next. It was actually hard to put down this book in order to do things.

This book is really hard to talk about without spoilers so, if you like space, and murder, then go read space Murder today.

Author Nikki Haverstock

I loved this book. It is well written with an engaging story line and characters. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I LOVE that the ship’s Captain is an intelligent, interesting woman .

So fun

I put off reading this book for a long time , thinking I would just read the fabulous' Mage 'series. I don't know what lead me to read it now, but I could kick my fanny all over the place. This story was so interesting and fun I loved every bit of it. The characters and dialog were perfect! I'm now hoping that I don't have to wait too long for another book.

Captain Liz Laika came from a prestigious family, graduated at the top of her Academy class, and had a stellar future ahead of her in the Fleet. Then a family scandal ruined her reputation, even though she was innocent, and she lost the respect and honor for which she’d worked so hard. Now Liz commands the most ramshackle ship in the fleet, one that runs on spit and bailing wire, and struggles to cope with the hatred poured upon her by Fleet Administration, managing her small, ragged crew on ...more

Captain Kirk has nothing on our girl!

What a fabulous start to a new series. Absolutely wonderful and I must admit that i think the characters are terrific, the plot is stupendous and the merging of the two is stunning.
A plot of murder, underhanded behaviour and schemes within schemes to end the life of our heroine. A wonderful independent, feisty woman who has attlee hard to overcome the lies spread about her and the court case that ended her career before it started. A murder on her ship in

Nikki Haverstock is breaking into the world of Sci-Fi. And she's breaking as many rules as possible to do it with, in her first in a new series. You can expect the usual fun story and good mystery. Oh, don't forget the laughter. I'm definitely recommending this one.

Captain Elizabeth Laika and her motley crew. Struggle through murder, sabotage, and being falsely accused of committing said murder. The crew comes together and all of them realize just how much it means to be part of this unique

Having read and and enjoyed other books by this author I was interested when offered an advance copy of this book by the author, although this didn't influence my review.
I haven't read any SiFi for years since reading the like of Arthur C Clarke and Isaac Azimov but this is nothing like that, but not in a bad way. It is more a murder mystery set in Space where a passenger on a cargo ship captained by Liz Laika is murdered and she becomes the prime suspect. Aided by some of her loyal crew she

Shelves: mystery, arcs
Buckle up and enjoy this fast paced mystery with an unusual, fun setting of outer space! Captain Laika and her misfit crew were an atypical cast of well developed characters- unconventional, quirky and loyal. Together they face out of the ordinary difficulties as they try to figure out who committed a murder aboard their ship. A murder that was just the beginning of the Captain's bad day. Kidnapping, attacks by unusual creatures, an ex and his "girlfriend" add moments of hilarity.A well written ...more

Space Murder is the first book in the Captain Liz Laika Adventures by NL Haverstock.

This is a great start to a new series.

I found that I could really relate to Liz. It is a great cast of mis-fit characters that are there for each other. There’s also a lot of humor as well as action.

I like to read to get away from stress and this was a very entertaining escape.

I received this book as a gift and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
