This book was a little "deeper" than we needed but gave the brief stories behind the names of different constellations. It was also very cool that it not only showed the constellation, it showed the surrounding stars as well. (But it was only the constellation that glowed.)

Fun way to learn about constellations that my kids and I used for our homeschool studies.

This book is great for learning about stars and constellations. The constellations are shown in relation to the surrounding stars, and the constellation on each page glows in the dark. This would be fantastic to take stargazing.

C.E.E. Thompson's 'Glow-in-the-Dark Constellations' book is an excellent non-fiction reference book for inquisitive young stargazers. This book covers all the major constellations (with dots that glow in the dark after having been exposed to light!) as well as a brief history of the naming of the constellations, what exactly is a star, and why do the constellations appear to move through the seasons.

This is a perfect complement to any lesson regarding stars or outer space for any child up to the fifth grade, and may be a quick reference guide for children up to eighth.

I LOVE this book. It has great explanations and details about constellations. Where and when you can see them. The story of their namings and you can SEE them. While the illustration shows the surrounding stars the constellations are the only part that glow. This has been an excellent help for pointing out the actual stars in the sky. Once you can see them in a book you know what to look for.

it's wonderful, and i want more. i wish there was more explanation of the lore, and more reference points for finding stars. BUT this book is a gem. It is so fun to practice with the glow in the dark and the instructions helped me find constellations at night.

Contains glow-in-the-dark illustrations of the major constellations that young children will enjoy exploring and using as a springboard for going outside in the evenings to hunt for the constellations they've seen in the book.

Great book for children beginning to get interested in star-gazing. Short facts about different constellations. Practice finding them, turn off the lights and see if you're right!
