Magnus and Kaitlyn need to mount a rescue. A kingdom might be lost. Vessels need to be secured. Friends need to be saved and there is an uncle that needs to be reckoned with. Through it all, Magnus and Kaitlyn need to keep their family together. “He is asking for a fight and we must bring it.”
“Yes.” I straighted and tried to look braver than I felt. "At least we have our family around us."
"Aye, tis a great many people tae protect."
I took a deep breath. "Then we better make sure we win, Magnus, because no one I love is going to die."
"Aye, mo reul-iuil." He kissed the back of my hand, said, "I love ye, I will see ye on the morrow."
And the battle began.

I gave this 5 stars cause the storyline itself is addictive, however I never thought I’d say this cause this storyline is amazing, I found myself not reading it from beginning to end without stopping, it actually took me Over a month to get it read, it just never held my attention like the other 7 have.. I’m not accustomed to buying books.. I read for lots of wonderful Authors and get books free, I’ve paid for all of these individually.. so I hope the next 2 are worth it.. it’s still a good read

Major problems

1. The Kaitlyn/Hailey obsession with needing to be teenagers who whine, get drunk and eat McDonald's grows tired and annoying. After all she's gone through, she should be growing in maturity, not regressing

2. Doesn't ring true that after dozens of life and death situations and house moving that it would take them 9 books in to get a secured bunker and full security.

3. And after paying for security, they would ever leave the house with a full force.

4. I feel like given the events and stakes, the characters would learn from their mistakes, instead the writer keeps playing the same beat over and over again...becomes unrealistic and tedious...the problems should become more complex, not repeat themselves.

5. The lovemaking (both emotionally and physically) is lovely and specific, but the writer relies on the romance to cover for the lack of realistic action and rising stakes.

6. The mother and the kingdom never change, so why doesn't Magnus start responding differently? Feels like a setup to get us to buy more books.

Awesomeness!

So many twists and turns, coming and goings! You think they're finally going to get some peace and, pow another storm. Stormy or peaceful, Magnus and Kaitlyn endure it all as their love strengthens and supports them. These stories are full of romance, love, adventure, loyalty, tragedy, comedic moments. Mix all of these in just the right amount and you have a story that you don't want to end, ever!

Omg I hope this series never ends!

Magnus and Kaitlyn. What a wondrous love story! Though it's fantasy, the story still makes total sense. Could any two people love each other more? Yes, I've had a love like theirs...most people don't ever get to. It's til death do us part and I'm always cheering for M & K to survive their escapades and be together forever. Keep imagining Diana! Your writing is so awesome! ❤️

More fun time travel

The love story of Katie and Magnus continues with extensive time travel between 1704, 1740 and 2383, sometimes on the same day. The side trip to Santorini was interesting and necessary for Magnus to vanquish his foe. The characters, storylines and adventures are intriguing so I keep reading, a fun escape!

Took a while to read this as I am reading other books too.
Magnus and Kaitlyn’s story just gets better and better, and I can’t recommend this book series enough! These books are so exciting and hard to put down. Great character development, an amazing plot, as well as being beautifully written. Really looking forward to starting book 9 tomorrow.

This also is so not the genre I prefer, romance - ehh. Time travel always gets me. But I love this series and find myself on the preorder list waiting for the next in this series. The characters are so engaging. I love it. So good I may actually re read the series. And I have only done that once with the slow burn series by Bobby Addair - end of the world apocalypse stuff.

I have really enjoyed reading this series so far. I like story lines with good friends but not perfect relationships. It is action packed and fun to see how they figure out how to make it work. Mother in laws are the same in all times lol. But the one In this story makes most look good.

I have several more books in this series of what I’ve called guilty pleasure novels but I’m starting to feel like there are actual pieces of dialogue I’ve seen in previous books and I noticed a handful of grammatical/spelling errors in this one.

Imprisoned, rescued, and lots of travelling

Seems everyone in this book gets rescued, imprisoned, almost killed , being abandoned or waiting veto be found. Its a mixed bag of fun , characters are fantastic and you will either like them or hate them. I give it a 5 Stars review

Nothing but Dust Book 8

Poor Magnus and Kaitlyn. Saving this one and that one and getting trapped into hard places. At least Magnus’ son is saved but then lost a friend sent way back to the past.

Nothing but Dust

This was a fast-paced book with less fighting and more family time so a nice respite from all the sword fighting.

I am enjoying this series. These are "short" novels. Glad that I didn't have to wait to continue the series through these first 8 books. I am now waiting for the next book in the series.

The characters took a bit to grow on me. Now, I do want how their story ends.

Words like awe-some and wonderful fall short

This 8th addition to our favored series has been impatiently anticipated by so many of us. It is bitter sweet as we know that the end is nearing and yet so many questions are answered here. After waiting until it finaly aired I read until the very last word, unable to put it down for more then the time it took me to deal with the emotions from this passage or that one. My emotions were all over the place, and at times I wished I could reach it and strangle a character or two. I cried and my heart broke a little in parts. The wonderful thing about this series and author, is that it is so real and true to people and life that it pulls you in and refuses to let go, making you feel everything as though it is happening to you. You will fall in love if you read this series.
Bravo to you Madame Knightly.
