Major problems
1. The Kaitlyn/Hailey obsession with needing to be teenagers who whine, get drunk and eat McDonald's grows tired and annoying. After all she's gone through, she should be growing in maturity, not regressing
2. Doesn't ring true that after dozens of life and death situations and house moving that it would take them 9 books in to get a secured bunker and full security.
3. And after paying for security, they would ever leave the house with a full force.
4. I feel like given the events and stakes, the characters would learn from their mistakes, instead the writer keeps playing the same beat over and over again...becomes unrealistic and tedious...the problems should become more complex, not repeat themselves.
5. The lovemaking (both emotionally and physically) is lovely and specific, but the writer relies on the romance to cover for the lack of realistic action and rising stakes.
6. The mother and the kingdom never change, so why doesn't Magnus start responding differently? Feels like a setup to get us to buy more books.
