Christi Barth continues her Sexy Misadventures of Royals series with Ruling the Princess, a royal romantic comedy about Princess Genevieve second in line to the throne and the sexy royal auditor assigned to carefully asses all her expenses.

After years of being in exile, Theo Holst is back in Moncriano tasked with an important assignment that will help determine the future of the monarchy and their nation. He thought itd be easy to put a spoiled princess in her place, especially since there was

Theo might just be a tad bit paranoid, "why was she staring at him? ***t, had the woman noticed that he hadnt been able to take his eyes off her since hed arrived?" Theo tends to be a protective man, Im not risking you being seen like this. Or not how youll look when Im inside of you in five minutes. I liked this book, I liked Theo. ...more

Im glad Genevieve got her own book, because she annoyed me in her sisters. I understood some of why she was aloof, but getting her entire backstory, and seeing her humanity, just made me love her. Theo is completely awesome too, and the perfect guy for her. I loved this one, and I cannot wait for Christian and who Im hoping he ends up with! ...more

This is a wonderful romance that I loved. Genevieve is a princess with a problem - a royal auditor nitpicking through her personal spending, almost as though he has a vendetta. Theo is an auditor with an immense issue with royalty and with Princess Genevieve in particular. What follows is an entertaining story that romance fans will love.

I loved the characters in this book and especially loved the way the three siblings interacted and how their relationships have developed since the first book

Both Genevieve (Genny) and Theo are good main characters. And I have to say that at first I really disliked Theo a lot. That chip on his shoulder was HUGE! His hate for anything royalty and everything Princess Genevieve was front and center. Yes, he has some cause for some of it but you won't find out the why of it till much later in the story.
Other people in the story were interesting as well. Like Prince Christian (heir to the throne) Simon Brunner who is Theo's best friend. Simon adds fun,

So ecstatic that this series has continued! The second installment in this series focuses on Genevieve and picking up after the first book ended. Having the most difficulty dealing with the return of her sister, she wasnt the fan favorite from the last book, which is why this book was as great as it was. We get to know who Genevieve is as a person and how her princess duties have shaped her life and compassion. Lord Theo is tasked with auditing Genevieve, and after an interaction with her that ...more

Princess Genevieve finds love with Theo!

Princess Genevieve of Moncriano is upset that she has been assigned an auditor to go over her budget (not that she actually has one) before Moncriano receives an invitation to join the European Union. She would prefer that they audit someone else but when Lord Theo Holst tells her to pick less expensive items, she decides to show him why the royal family has certain traditions it needs to keep.

Lord Theo Holst made a promise that he would never set foot

Ruling the Princess by Christi Barth a five-star read that deserves its own tiara. This is number two in the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series and I loved it, I enjoyed the first story in the series but I loved this one, which surprised me so much as I hated Princess Genevieve Eleanor Marie, second in line to the throne of Moncriano when I read her in the first story, I did warm towards the end but still not much, but she warmed me so much in this story, we see the real princess the one who ...more

You know me.... any book that has to do with princesses or princes is right up my alley. Especially right now. I need some happily ever afters. I also love hate to love romances. So this book just hit the nail right in the coffin for me. I didnt read the first book in the series so I will probably get to it as soon as possible. I loved how the romance developed between Genevieve and Theo and I hope to see more of them in the new book coming soon. Even a little peep would be nice. I loved ...more

Princess Genevieve has a problem, the Royal auditor assigned to her as a part of the vetting process to prepare to join the EU.
Lord Theo hates the Royalty of Moncriano and specifically the princess, and as the Royal auditor he plans to cut down all her extravagant expenses. But as he spends time with her, he sees a different side and cant help but fall for her.
This is an entertaining read. I really enjoyed the banter between the Princess and Lord Theo, it was life foreplay which when came to

A great addition to the Sexy Misadventures of Royals series.
Lord Theo comes onto the scene, immediately hating Princess Genny and the royal family. Hes got an ax to grind and he has the means to grind it down to a stump!
I must admit that I was a little disappointed at the reason Theo hated Genny since he was a kid. It seemed kind of silly for a grown man to hold that kind of grudge. But watching Genny and Theo circle each other was very entertaining.
I cant wait for the next installment which

Great read! I loved the characters in this book. Genevieve is a down to earth monarchy that you can't help but admire and respect. Theo is stuck in his childhood and allowing old hurts to taint his views of the royal family. Getting to audit the princess seems like royal revenge, only Theo quickly learns his beliefs of Genny and her family could be off the mark. The entire gang of characters were great addition to the story. The plot was fun and entertaining and leaves you wanting more, ...more

I couldn't help but love this book! It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite tv shows that is no longer on the air-"The Royals" without being as crazy and far fetched as the show was.

I adored Genny and her want to be the best version of herself in everything she does. It gave a little insight to the royal lifestyle that I had never thought about before.

The writer did a great job with a twist at the very end that I was not expecting at all, which I really appreciate because I am usually pretty

I enjoyed this book even more then the first Theo and Genevieve had much more dynamic characters then the last and felt more realistic. I felt much more invested in their love story then Elias and Kelsey because of that. Super excited to read the third (and final?) installment of this series! Very light hearted and fun. I loved the peeling back of each of the characters shells as they find each other more and more intoxicating.

I absolutely love what Christi Barth has done with this series and cannot wait to read Christians story. Theo is back in his home country after years of exile. His job is to audit Genevieve who he considers his enemy. She, on the other, doesnt remember him and is royally pissed that he is auditing her. What starts off as an epic match of wills, eventually becomes steamy. As a royal she has been living a life fit for the public eye but Theo makes her want to seek personal happiness. The story is ...more

It's been a while since I read a contemporary romance featuring royals and that's why I requested this book from Netgalley. Besides, the romance is a classic enemy-to-lovers thing where the guy is not fond of the royal girl. I'm happy to say that Ruling the Princess didn't disappoint.

Ruling the Princess stars Princess Genevieve (Genny), a spare heir of the throne and Theo, an heir of Duchy who was exiled when he was ten and blames Genny for it, hence his hate for anything royal. It is

This was a darling little story about royals that I was delighted with. This is actually the very first book that I have picked up with a royal trope despite them being all the rage at the moment.

One of the things that I really liked about this book is how authentic it felt. I suppose that no one really knows what daily life is like for a royal unless you are indeed a royal,

I loved the first book in this series and I was curious to see if author Christi Barth could make me grow to really like Princess Genevieve because she wasnt my favorite character in that first book. In fact she was a bit obnoxious and rude to her sister who was returned to the Royal Family of Moncriano after being kidnapped 20+ years prior. However Genevieve (Genny) meets her match in Ruling the Princess and I very much enjoyed watching them both let down their defenses and fall in love.

The princess + the numbers guy = love!

Ruling the Princess was just what I needed this weekend. The enemies-to-lovers element (especially in the first half) was just delicious--and when they weren't enemies anymore? Deliciousness squared! ;) I loved watching Theo and Genny realize that their previous assumptions were wrong, and loved even more that they did it like grown ups. They both were wrong at times, they both made mistakes, and they both

This was such a Fantastic read. So entertaining! Christi Barth brought on some awesome hate-flirt in this enemies to lovers romance that had me smiling big time. Loved It!

Swoon worthy hero? Check.
Strong, determined heroine? Check.
Major attitude and animosity? Check.
Being in total denial of your feelings? Oh yeah!

Princess Genevieve and Lord Theo Holst were so entertaining and awesome together. Their animosity and heat towards one another was off the charts and I loved being absorbed into it

Ruling the Princess is the second book in the Sexy Misadventures of the Royals. This was the first book I have read by this author. It was good as a stand-alone but, I think that reading the first book would have helped me to understand the history and tension between Princess Genevieve and her sister, Princess Kelsey.

It's so great that I got to see a different side to Princess Genevieve since I wasn't particularly impresses with her when it was her sister's story, which definitely helped since I ended up loving her to death. Theo Holst finally gets the opportunity to come out of exile for a new assignment, and all he has to do is put Genevieve in her place, which should be simple right?! Yeah, Theo didn't know to look past the surface at first either, but after spending more & more time with her, he ...more
