My. Heart. Is. Broken.

Or rather, Elizabeth broke my heart a million times over in this book and then sewed it back together so well that I sobbed.

Yes, you read that right. I started Across Eternity last night at 9:30pm. I finished at 4am on the dot. And while my fiancee was snoring beside me, I was bawling my eyes out like a newborn baby.

This book, y'all. This book.

It's perfection. It's raw. It's gut-wrenching and uplifting and full of hope and love with a sprinkle of WTF-ery. Because HOW Eliz

Hands down, one of the best books I've read so far this year. An epic conclusion to an phenomenal duet. Across Eternity is one of my most anticipated for 2020... I absolutely loved Across Time and I couldn't wait to read the conclusion to Henri and Amelie's story (especially after that cliffhanger) and it was so much MORE than I expected.

It was mind blowing the way in which this story was told. Elizabeth O’Roark extraordinary ability to weave time traveling through past, present and future into

This book. This. Boooook....
The feels. ALL. THE. FEELS.
It is all the payoff you're longing for and so much more. I cried, I hugged my kindle, I held my breath... I had to put my kindle down to work, but I'd be dreaming of it all day...
It's such a beautiful story. I can't even.
We get the conclusion we've longed for for Sarah and Henri, but also little peeks from the other side of Quinn and N

An amazing and extraordinary closure to what has to be one of the very best duets (along with the Parallel Duet that has ties here) that I've ever read. The author is brilliant every step of the way in how she plotted this story. It's simply epic in the way she moves readers from 1989 back to 1939 and then further back to 1918 and then forward until we find ourselves in 1991 to 1995. The finale -- well, I'm not sure where we finally end up (and I wouldn't tell anyway), but trust me, it's simply ...more

Across Eternity is one of my most anticipated for 2020... I couldn't wait to read the conclusion to Henri and Amelie's story and it was so much MORE than I expected. I am blown away by O'Roark's talent and writing.
Across Eternity takes on Henri and Amelie's journey as they try to find their way back to one another through a time of war, all the while trying to protect their loved ones and learning what the prophecy means to them.

4 stars, and wow, what a rollercoaster!

The thrilling conclusion to Across Time, this is a breath-taking read full of twists and turns that had my heart pounding from start to finish. Angst, drama, heartache and hope, and at the centre of it all is an incredible love story as Sarah and Henri’s heartwrenching story comes to its exciting finish.

This book picks up right where the first one picks up. I went back and reread the last few chapters of the last book, and I’m so glad I did because we are t

We all, in the end, have to give up the things we love, and I am no exception. Even so, I would not change a thing. -Sarah

This was another highly anticipated read of 2020 for me. After finishing book 1, ACROSS TIME, I was eager to jump back into this world, especially with that cliffhanger! Elizabeth blew my mind with the way in which she told this story. Her ability to weave time traveling through past, present and future into this story line, was extraordinary and done so with excellent precis

I absolutely loved Across Time and couldn’t wait to read Across Eternity. But dare I say that this book was even better! Total book hangover alert. There were so many feels, including being completely torn apart and heartbroken, that made it all the more worthwhile to have the happy moments. I'm not going to lie, I had recurring stomach ulcers reading this because there were some seriously angsty or tense situations that stressed me out! Yet, I live for that when I read a book. I could not put this book down. I thought the first book in the duet was fantastic, this one, even more so. I've been waiting for this book since last fall, and it picked up right where it left off. This duet's plot was not only unique, but the level of research that had to be done was immense, especially with the multiple times in history.

This book emotionally wrecked me, I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. The emotional pain, suffering, grief, betrayal and forgiveness that

Every year, I wind up reading a book that emotionally guts me. It’s a book that, when I read the final words, makes me take in a deep breath and take a moment to reset.

I know it’s only March, but this book is going to be THE book for me this year. THE book that will stick with me. THE book that I will come back to and read more than once. THE book that I would rate 10 stars if I could.

I’ve been anxiously anticipating this book for weeks - and now that I’ve finally been able to read it, I’m strug

A beautiful conclusion to an epic story and a rollercoaster of emotions that make you ugly cry during the hard parts and smile during the sweet moments.
Across Eternity is the second book in the across time duet and a spinoff for the parallel duet. it answers so many of our questions about the time travel and how it works with the mysterious island.
As someone who is a sucker for paranormal and historical books, this book seems like the perfect mix of both, I felt a deep connection to the charac

What the . . . I don’t . . . I can’t. . . What the ever loving hades did I just read?!! I’m dumbfounded and stunned speechless. Whatever I could have possibly anticipated in the second half of Henri and Sarah’s story, it was. Not. THIS! The only thing I’m certain of right now is the pins and needles I’m still on, even after finishing the book. The adrenaline crash will be mighty with this one.

I’m not even going to try to give you a synopsis, but here's what you need to know. It's a time travel p

The Parallel Series, Across Time and now Across Eternity are some of the best time travel series I've had the pleasure of reading. There are so many wonderful layers of detail that only adds to the intrigue and mystery. This story is nothing short of genius. Elizabeth O'Roark is a master storyteller. So much creativity and thought provoking as you move through time in the past, present and future. You put the puzzle pieces together until that "A Ha" moment when all becomes clear. This is a serie ...more

This is an epic conclusion to an amazing series. I honestly don’t know how someone can concoct such a creative tale with so many intricate pieces, but Elizabeth O’Roark did it! I will admit; I’m a little envious of those who can start at the beginning with Parallel, Intersect, and then move onto Across Time and Across Eternity and see the whole thing unfold in succession. Then again, I wouldn’t trade the opportunity to gobble up O’Roark’s words as she writes them, though. I mean, I can remedy th ...more

I am a massive contemporary romance junkie. I'm not joking when I say that I easily go through at least one book a day. So it becomes very easy for me to read through all the good books out there and get bored easily. I feel that the romance book genre, in general, is notorious for lack of creative and unique stories and I personally have noticed that as well. It has become hard to come across a romance book that will keep you hooked on with a great love story and amazing characte

*Rating* 4.5

I will start by saying, if I didn't have to work, I would've read this book on one sitting. I barely could keep my hands away.

This is the second book of a duology, but the two books were so different. The first one was tamer, this one was more real, tougher. The author did not hold back and I loved it.

I don’t even know where to begin with a review for this book. This story is epically romantic and amazing. The story is incredible and the characters are so deeply heartfelt. I can’t wrap my head around the entirety of this story yet.

I have spent this book bawling and laughing and every other emotion in between. My heart is crushed that it is over and yet so, so full.

I continue to be completely captivated by Elizabeth O’Roark’s way of weaving an intricate and multi layered compelling plot with interestingly complex characters and finely tuned well researched story development. Kudos Elizabeth!

Oh my heart. This book made me hold my breath on many occasions. It made my heart flutter and swoon and at times break. But I loved EVERY second of this fantastic story. It is a book that absolutely sweeps you away. Elizabeth O’Roark is such a compelling writer...her stories so unique and engaging. I was truly on the edge of my seat so many times throughout this epic journey. And the’s just beautiful. As is her writing. I raved about The Parallel Duet...and I will rave about this du ...more

Wow! What a conclusion. This was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster for me. Unputdownable!!! After reading Intersect, I wasn’t surprised with the ending but I was left more than satisfied with the outcome. Sarah and Henri went through so much (a certain aspect devastated me); honestly, there was so much angst and fiery banter. I wasn’t sure, how they could recover. I thought the author did a phenomenal job. She broke my heart but succeeded in putting it back together again. Sarah and Hen

You must read the previous book but even better read the entire series. All parts are related and it will help you understand the entire time travel process better. This is the conclusion of what happens between Henri and Sarah. Sarah goes back to pre-war France and then it become war torn France in the 1940's. They need to escape France before the Nazi's arrive. Before this though Marie wants to go see if she can find out what happened to her mother when she jumped in time and never returned. W ...more

This is the 4th book. The book order is in this sequence:
1) Parallel (Parallel Duet series)
2) Intersect (Parallel Duet series)
3) Across time (Across Time series)
4) Across eternity (Across Time series)

This book is the ongoing saga of Henri Durand and Amelie Durand/Betrand (aka Sarah Stewart)
In this book, we fall in love with the charming Henri and his time hopping beauty, Sarah (Amelie). Their previous angst of push and pull attraction ha

Interesting and compelling.

Not the story I wanted, too dark for me. Nevertheless, well written and a thought provoking read. Enjoyed the first two books of the series more. If you are into heart rending stories with sadness, then have at it. I like history, but WWII was not a good time to be in France. Will recommend.

I hate Marie with a burning, fiery passion. Almost completely ruined this series for me. Has there ever been a more self-centered, destructive character that we’re supposed to like?
