The world of Asuras and Dévas is considered mythological. Indian mythology is replete with tales of Dévas battling the Asuras constantly. I picked up this book due to the concept of the book. When I read the blurb, it seemed unique and I am glad that I picked it up. I will briefly summarise the blurb. The book meets two extremes ends like it’s based on concept of Devas and Asuras and at the same time, book belongs to sci-fi genre. That impressed me a lot. The core story is an old person, two soldiers from Indian army, two NRIs and a mysterious sage from Himalaya are together in a mysterious adventure in south India. Read the book

Mahasiddha Field is a mythological novel by Dwai Lahri. It deals with characters and elements of Indian myths. The book is based in the magical world of Asuras and Devas who are in constant battle with each other . The whole is very intense and you will never what is going to happen next . So basically it a psychological / spiritual thriller . The story is very griping and there is hopefully going to be a sequel to it . The characters are well drawn and are developed throughout the book . The na

The concept of the book is really intriguing yet fascinating to read. Mythology, Philosophy, and Sci-fi blended together in the right composure to delight the readers. One by one introduction of the characters and the dig into their past life, switching from one world to another world made a bit difficult to focus on the plot.

The very first book in the genre that I call 'Dharmic Fantasy Adventure' as far as my reading awareness goes. The simple language belies the depth of the theme. The plot takes a surprisingly (and comfortingly) dharmic turn whenever our anticipation is that of what we have fed upon prior to the book. The kind that will leave a long-lasting imprint upon the mind.
