This book is part 4 in this series. I have not read parts 1 to 3.

This book was beautifully written, a very enjoyable story about two teen girls and their life and families living in different time periods.

This book was a win from the Good reads giveaway contest. i started to read it when i went to bed as that is when i enjoy most of my reading, thinking that it wouldn't be long before i got tired. well as a surprise to me when i started reading this story, i couldn't put it down till i was finished the book. Lovely story about two teen girls from very different eras. Juliana lives in the present day and has recently experienced a big move across Canada that takes her away from her best friend during a tragic incident in that girl's life. Elisabeth lives in Semlak, Romania post World War I. She struggles with knowing how to respond to men returning scarred - physically and emotionally - from the fighting.
