This book was interesting. I'm struggling how to explain why without giving anything away. In one way, for the length of the book, not a whole lot actually happens. In another way, so much happens and lives are changed forever. I know I don't make much sense! This is not a typical happy holiday story - there's too much hurt to overcome.
