Micah…

I served my country and returned broken. Trying to fit the pieces back together, I built the Broken Rebel Brotherhood. We walked a fine line between right and wrong to protect those who had nowhere else to turn. I’d never mixed business with pleasure. That is, until her

Sadie…

After years of abuse at the hands of my husband, I’d had enough. The only way to live was to run. Disappear. Life had other plans for me. Plans that included a sexy biker. I wasn’t looking for love, and I certainly didn’t think I could trust again. That is, until him.

Life had been cruel too many times to count, but the worst was yet to come. Will love be enough to keep them from shattering?

Broken Souls is a complete story with a guaranteed HEA. This book contains subject matter that some may find disturbing. Reader discretion is advised.

This is a new to me author. I loved the world building she brought to the story. What a unique MC. Home to Veterans who needed a new purpose in life after leaving the military. They all have their own issues, but together, they form a band of brothers who help out other broken souls.

This is Micah's story. But more important, it is Sadie's story of rediscovery and empowerment. This rough burly man ends up being her life line and but he allows her space so she can blossom. All the feels throughout the story. Not for the faint of heart--some pretty graphic scenes. The chemistry and asteam between Sadie and Micah make up for it all.

Loved the rest of the MC. Can't WAIT for the next book. The sneaky peek we got was not enough!

Great start to the series!

This book is definitely not for the faint of heart. The depiction of violence and the lengths that an abuser will go to is raw and intense in this book. However, it took me on an emotional roller-coaster that I enjoyed. Micah and Sadie had amazing chemistry and I really liked reading their POVs and experiencing their stories.

My favorite part of this book was learning about the Broken Rebel Brotherhood - a motorcycle club. The premise behind this club is completely original and intriguing to me. The more I learned, the more I wanted to read about it.

I also loved the secondary characters in this book. They make me hungry for subsequent books in this series.

This book is a definite change in pace from most MC clubs you read about. The BRB, Broken Rebels Brotherhood, a
is a group of former veteran’s readapting to civilian life while protecting and rehabilitating people in danger. Micah, club president and ultimate alpha male never really saw himself settling down or falling in love. Sadie grew up in foster care and has always been on the look out for her forever family, and now she’s on the run from her abusive husband.

What Sadie and Micah find is a mutual attraction and connection as well as an interlocking past. But will they find a future.

This book is full of triggers, but the story definitely keeps you invested, hoping for that happily ever after.

Wow what a great beginning to a new series. This book is so full of raw emotions such as rage, desire, and ecstasy.
Micah is as sweet as he is alpha. He and his "brothers" are all vets that do really great things with those who have suffered. After a night out with them he stumbles upon our sweet heroine Sadie. Sadie's past is not for the faint of heart. The hardships she had to live through will have your heart breaking for her. Her life before she was lucky enough to have been found by the BRB is heinous. Through Micah's strength and determination Sadie finds a life filled with hope, love, and happiness.
I am truly looking forward to seeing what happens next in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood.

First off, despite the cover and the mention of bikers in the precis, I would say this book is as much a motorcycle club romance as Costco is a gas station. They may both have fuel pumps, but they're certainly not the same thing. The only thing remotely motorcycle club-like in this book is that it has a group of people living a bit communally who have motorcycles. There's no drinking, partying, law breaking, old ladies, etc. The Broken Rebel Brotherhood is just a group of ex-military guys and gals who work together to save domestic abuse victims because they were looking for a way to help people after returning to civilian life.

With that said, even though it wasn't what I was expecting, I do still think this is an okay story; although, a bit slower going than I prefer. Sadie shows up in the town in Indiana where the BRB operate after fleeing from her extremely abusive ex. The leader of the group, Micah, is immediately smitten with her. He basically becomes her protector while she acclimates to life outside her abusive relationship. Most of the book focuses on Sadie, but there is a bit about Micah's PTSD. Honestly, I think the author didn't do a great job with this. There's one scene where Micah wakes up from a vivid nightmare and discovers he was choking Sadie in his sleep, and after she forgives him, it's never mentioned again, and he never has any other similar issues. Was he magically cured by her forgiveness or something?

description

I also think there were a few weird plot points that weren't really necessary and did nothing to improve the story. Like, Sadie being a foster child that stayed with Micah's grandparents. It's mentioned like it's a big deal near the beginning, but then nothing much comes of it except that Micah takes her to see his grandma later in the story, and not much happens there.

description

Or Ian being at the bar where Sadie's dancing, and all he does is send her a few nasty texts and then disappears until the end of the book.

description

The abuse in this book is a little graphic, but I do think the suspense aspects of the story were the most interesting parts. I think if the author had stayed focused on Ian, perhaps have him more actively coming for Sadie throughout the middle of the story so Micah and Sadie had more to do, this book could have been a lot more exciting.

It was an okay read for me, but I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to continue with the series. I didn't think there was really much relationship building, and the romance just felt shoved in there. And I definitely think the author should chose a different cover and fix the precis to better reflect what the book is like. People who normally stay away from MC books will skip this just based on the cover, even though this book isn't like an MC romance at all.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and it was absolutely brilliant. This book is the first in the series.

Broken Rebel Brotherhood #1.

Micah is a long suffering man that suffer from PTSD and to help him he starts the Brotherhood to help people whilst also helping himself to try and not feel broken anymore. They help people with what they need and what they are suffering with either with escaping or with a place to stay. Micah is a strong, sexy alpha male and he's a really good, genuine loyal person.

Sadie has been suffering at the hands of her husband from domestic abuse and has had enough. Sadie decides now is the time to go. Sadie knows that she has to be strong and is a real tough soul. I really feel for Sadie and what she went through a very lot. Sadie's soul is shattered after all the abuse that she has suffered.Sadie is found by Micah and he helps her broken soul.
Fate steps in for both of these people and takes them where they need to be.
The brotherhood, they sometimes bend the rules of the law but only when necessary and when they have no choice.
The brotherhood was founded by Micah and is made up of ex military men and also women which I like, its there to protect the people who can not protect themselves. (NO SPOILERS ).

This story is quite an emotional read and at time is very raw and some parts did hit close to home.
This book does have some twists that you didn't even see coming and will keep you gripped on the edge of your seat. This author has written this story very well and has written these characters so good and brought them to life. I really loved Micah and Sadie and desperately wanted to see how there story unfolded.
This book keeps you guessing all the way through and it an awesome quick read.
I really liked this authors writing style it was a real page turner an excellent book and I cant wait to read the next installment of this series.

Thank You to the author and publishers for allowing me to read a copy of this book.

Broken Souls is book one in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood series and one heck of a way to kick off a new series. This story while it may be painful to read at times is a quick read, but keeps you in suspense until the end of the story with the outcome and an amazing twist of fate that is revealed. Micah is suffering from PTSD at times, but starts up an uncommon MC of the BRB veteran members and include men and woman. They assist with helping those in tough situations especially those of domestic violence. They may ride a fine line with the law, but it is the law that reaches out to them when they need to skirt the rules to obtain justice. You will fall in love with this MC and the area they made home in IN for not only themselves, but others who need a temporarily place to stay.Sadie is a brave soul and strong at the same time. It wasn't easy at the hands of her husband, but she ran when the time was right. Don't get me wrong she tried and didn't succeed previously, but for whatever reason fate landed her in the pathway of the BRB crew. Can I just say that this book will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole story, but towards the end I knew my suspicion was starting to make sense. Wowzer! But...I know there is more to the story with this member of the BRB or two and am hoping that one of the stories in the series are on this portion of the suspense we receive cause inquiring minds is very curious. Sorry, this is the best way to state this to avoid any spoilers of the story or secondary characters. This is one MC series that I would highly recommend if you enjoy the good MC stories and alpha men.

Broken Souls by Andi Rhodes was a quick read, MC style book for me with two amazing characters. The story can sometimes be graphic in detail, especially of the abuse that Sadie suffers at the hands of her husband. The book focuses on Sadie leaving her husband and being found by Micah, the President of the local small town MC: Broken Rebel Brotherhood, but this MC is different in the fact that it is made up of ex-military men and women who are there to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.

Micah was a really good character in that he didn't shy away from his PTSD and how that affected how he lived his life. The connection he has with Sadie was instantaneous and when you find out their past history, your heart will melt a little bit.

Sadie is one of those characters that are exceptionally well written and you want to know more about. She is a character that doesn't know her own strength but it certainly comes through on the page. The life she has suffered and how she sees herself are heartbreaking at points and it was sometimes difficult to read how the system can let people down.

This was a quick read for me and although it didn't go into a lot of detail or action regarding how Sadie's husband was caught and punished, it did tie up nicely with a special epilogue at the end.

This is definitely a sweet MC book and I will certainly be interested to read the second book in this series when it comes out. If you like swoon worthy heroes and strong females, then Andi Rhodes books are for you!

Oh wow... This was an awesome start to a new series. My first read from this author and I am definitely hooked.

Sadie was running from her abusive husband when she kind of blacked out and flipped her car. When she woke up she was with people she didn't know. Thats when she meets Micha the president of a group of men and women.
Micha was the president of the Broken Souls MC made up of former vets who served their country and now many of them are suffering from PTSD. Now they are a brotherhood looking after each other and protecting those weaker than themselves. While he was going back to his cabin he spotted a wrecked vehicle with a women trapped inside. Micha can't help feeling protective of Sadie and drawn to her as he suspects she is running from something. But will she let them help her or will he fear bcome to much for her.

This book will have you hooked from the start. Some parts might be too much for some, but stick with it it will all be worth it. Lots of suspense and angst and some twists and turns that you might not expect. But I can definitely say I am looking forward to the next book in this series☺️❤️

I liked this one, but it had a rough start. I hated what Sadie had to go through, was so glad that she thought ahead and figured out a way to save herself and that she was strong enough to take the chance when it occurred. Better was landing in a spot with people that were equipped to help her in many ways.

I liked the odd connection that Sadie and Micah had, glad that while both were smitten with each other they did act on things, instead focused on Sadie getting better, physically and mentally. The freedom Sadie had after was so great, it was the little things that she could make a choice on that seemed to make her happy.

I hated how the evil person found Sadie again, for more than one reason, but glad that Micah and the guys were able to take care of business. Loved how in the aftermath Sadie took control of her life, found love and found a purpose.

Micah Mallory, President of the Broken Rebel Brotherhood motorcycle club, at thirty-four was a veteran Navy Seal, just like many of the club members, and they all had a burning desire to help those that couldn’t help themselves.

The whole concept of this club and its story intrigued me from the beginning. It’s a refreshing change from the normal MC books yet that doesn’t mean there isn’t lots of drama and action- because it is jammed packed with it.

Sadie McCord is a great character, one that relearns who she is after a miserable life. She finds she has a sassy mouth and inner strength that certainly boosts her confidence. Micah is an absolute darling of a man...I can not say enough about him to paint the fantastic qualities he possesses. Together as a couple, they are terrific and their romance might not be every day nor rainbows and kittens but it is real and deep.

You definitely experience a full range of emotions in this story and need to be prepared for bursts of anger to explode as well as nail-biting fear that has you sitting on the edge of your seat. Great descriptions of both the characters and scenes as well as a fast-paced storyline make this an entertaining and exciting book.

This is the first time I have read anything from this author, and I was not disappointed, this was a great read, that kept me interested until the last page. This is the first book in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood series, and the story of Micah, and Sadie. When Sadie is on the run, and fighting to her life, she crosses paths with Micah, and they have an immediate connection. This was steamy, raw, gritty, intense, twisted, dramatic, and action-packed. This was well written, the characters have great chemistry, and their story took me on an emotional roller coaster.

I'm pretty sure that this was Andi's debut novel and boy what a debut. I couldn't put this book down and it is definitely going to be a series and author I don't want to miss out on.

Now this story line is not one that is easy. Her story is rough and raw in subject matter but boy was it beautiful. The strength and bravery that Sadie gains when with the Broken Rebel Brotherhood was a joy to see. The love between Micah and Sadie that grows despite their challenges was beautiful and just the club in general were great. I couldn't get enough and the promise of what the future books are going to be like has my anticipation growing.

Definitely a MUST read book and an author to keep your eye out for. I see great things in her future and can't wait to go along on the ride.

A Good Start

Andi Rhodes gives her readers a good start to the Broken Rebel Brotherhood series with Broken Souls. While we focus on Sadie and Micha, we are also introduced to the rest of the brothers and sisters.

The Broken Rebels focus on protecting those that can't protect themselves and luckily for Sadie, she ends up right in thier path. She is running from an abusive husband and into the arms of a handsome biker.

While I liked the story of Sadie and Micha to a degree, I had some qualms about our girl and how she didn't have time to herself before jumping in with both feet. She's been through the ringer and it seemed off to be for her to be instantly smitten with Micha. I would have liked to see her take some time to figure out who she was before getting into another relationship. It felt rushed all the way around.

The book is well written, a little gritty at times and a little cheesy at others. It's a nice start to the series and as I mentioned, we meet the rest of the club along the way to prepare for the next one.

What an outstanding read and storyline. This book is rough and shows the extent an abuser will go to with his victim. It also shows another side to a new MC, one made up of veterans, broken souls coming to the aid of other broken souls in the form of victims of domestic abuse. They take on all types of clients and will do whatever they can to ensure that the victim is safe and remains that way. When Micah and his brothers leave the bar that they've been celebrating the success of a recent case, running into the vision of an overturned car isn't what he was expecting on his way home. Neither was the head full of flaming red hair falling over the face of the battered woman hanging upside down in her car.

Sadie was running for her life when she blacked out and flipped her car. Waking up in a strange room with voices she doesn't recognize doesn't help her confusion. In and out of consciousness for several days, she finally begins to come around and locks onto the handsome face that goes with the voice that she heard. She needs to get away, but her condition keeps her where she is. Just where is she??

This is a wonderfully written storyline that grips you and does not release you until you reach the end; and then you still have questions that need to be answered. The characters were very well written and quite complex in their own way, as were the supporting characters. There is plenty to love about these characters and each one will peak your interest (with the exception of the bad guy). I loved this book and I can hardly wait to read more of this Brotherhood's story. Definitely worth a one click, and I highly recommend this book!

Absolutely fantastic debut for this author!! This book was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish. The characters were well developed and the storyline suspenseful and intriguing. This author has an unique take on a motorcycle club and it shows in her story. Sadie is brought to Micah through a horrific event but he isn’t letting her go even before he knows the connection to him. The past finally catches up to Sadie, will Micah trust his gut and be there to protect her? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!

not your typical biker book, its more ex military than biker tbh

dnf 43%

warning; brutal descriptions of domestic violence at the very beginning of the book and throughout for those with triggers

i really dont like that we get ian's pov (the husband abuser) , i'm not interested in reading his pov at all- he's a disgusting pig who needs to be put down.

so i'm at 24% in the book and they have interacted with sadie several times and still havent told her why she is with them or explained what they do and i find this astonishing. micah goes as far to say she needs to be taken to see the female doctor in town as she may be more comfortable telling her what happened, but they havent tried asking her yet anyway? so why is this necessary, its not like shes told them to mind their own business. i also dont understand why they wouldnt immediately explain to her who they were so she'd feel safer!!! doesnt make sense

the dialogue between sadie and micah is so bad, stilted and just doesnt read right, its almost cringe worthy corny and putting me off this book.

having grown up with a father who regularly beat the crap out of my mother i just cannot believe that within a couple of weeks sadie would be fantasising and masterbating to the image of micah naked in his room. she's been seriously traumatised as well as suffering years of abuse. sex, self pleasure, attraction to men etc is the last thing abused women are thinking about two weeks after they almost die! yeah i know not all women are alike but i find this so unbelievable and not realistic. and now the females are organising a girls night at a bar!!!

ooh i just give up with this book!!!

crap i really had high hopes for this series but i think its a bit too close to home and really just too unrealistic.

This had a lot of promise but the premise just did not live up to that and there were too many things that did not make sense and I couldn’t get my head around.

For example…the MMC and his friends are all ex-military who left the service and are dealing with varying degrees of PTSD. This makes absolutely perfect sense and is spot-on. However, they all apparently left the military with enough funds to buy a huge farm, build all their own houses, build a centralized clubhouse and buy several businesses that allow them to not have to work regular jobs and devote themselves to saving damsels in distress. Now I don’t know what military they were a part of it but the pay scale seems to be waaaaay beyond that of the pay received by all the ex-military people I know. I wish our soldiers made that kind of money for the work they did. But they don’t and I just couldn’t wrap my brain around something that was supposed to be a foundational part of the MMCs character and was so (sadly) unrealistic.

The second part that I couldn’t get my head around was the insta-love of the whole thing, despite what both the MMC and FMC were dealing with. The book starts with the MMC dealing with PTSD and what seemed like depression. And of course, the FMC is running from a horribly violent and traumatic marriage. All of those things leave imprints on a person that are reflected in how they deal with people and how they form relationships, especially while in or just after a crisis. But that didn’t seem to be the case in this story. Instead all of that trauma was treated as place-setting, which left it feeling gratuitous and the relationship feeling like insta-love.

Finally, and this is a me thing, but when I saw Motorcycle club book I was expecting something a bit darker, like an actual MC book with bad guys as heros/anti-heros. These guys are good guys who are a little damaged but still full on white knights.

All in all…a disappointment that wasn’t the kind of book I wanted and wasn’t that great an example of the kind of book it was actually supposed to be.

4/5 🌟 Broken Souls/ Broken Rebel Brotherhood #1
By Andi Rhodes

There is something about MC romance books that I just can’t get enough of .
And this one by Andi Rhodes didn’t disappoint.

Broken Souls differ from other MC romance books in many ways and without revealing too much one of the thing that it’s worth mentioning is that two women form part of the crew.
.......
Micah
Is president of the club and a veteran of war , a bit broken but has together with the rest of the crew found a purpose within the club and that is to help those who can’t defend and protect themselves. Women have never been a problem for him ,he’s been with lots of them since he got back from his mission and quite frankly no one has ever made impact enough for something serious until he meets Sadie ...
........
Sadie
Has lived a hard life , she met her husband at a young age after living years in foster care . Maybe her longing for love and to have a family led her to Ian her husband ,and maybe it was just those longing that made her stay after the first beating. She is now on the run and she will not stop until she is finally free .
........
The book brings up important topics as men violence against women and mental illness, topics that are indeed very important in today’s social debate.
I highly recommend the book and last but not least it was a perfect first book in the serie , a first that left you curious enough to want to read the following books in the series .

Exciting new author, Andi Rhodes, delivers a basket full of my favorite things with her debute novel! Veterans, motorcycle clubs with beautiful missions, big-hearted alpha men and kickass women; these are a few of my favorite things. Ms. Rhodes successfully weaves all these things into the first novel in her Broken Rebels Brotherhood (BRB) series.

As a Navy SEAL, Micah and his brothers (and sisters) had been to hell and back. After leaving the military, they realized the brotherhood and finding a purpose was all that would keep them moving forward. A bruised and broken woman set them on their mission to fight for those who were powerless and the BRB was born. Micah had always been able to separate his emotions from their missions... until Sadie. This battered but brave woman stole his heart and soul without even trying. Helping her sever her connection to her abuser and feel her worth again became the only mission that mattered.

I'm so pleased to have found the exciting new voice of Ms. Rhodes. The series reminds of the Dead Presidents MC books; high praise as they're one of my favorite series. These are flawed characters with complex and difficult backstories. The chemistry is beautiful and intense and the world Ms. Rhodes built is richly layered. I love that the author doesn't shy away from the traumatic reintegration for our veterans and she really seems to understand how much the brotherhood, community and desire to protect helps to soothe their broken souls. I cannot wait to read more about the intriguing men and women of BRB!

I Loved this book. Fantastic start to a series and this reader can’t wait to see where the series takes us. The author has given us a well written, exciting storyline with characters you just want to hug. Kudos to Ms. Rhodes for an amazing job well done. The Broken Souls MC is made up of former vets who have served their country with pride and honor. They are home now, many suffering from PTSD and other issues. They have banded together to use their skills to help protect the abused as well as help themselves fit back into civilian life.

Micha is the Prez of this banded group of men and women. While traveling from the main house to his cabin on the property he spots a wrecked vehicle. Trapped inside is a women who unbeknownst to all, needs the Broken Souls help. While unconscious and fighting for her life, Micha finds himself drawn to her. When she finally wakes, he learns her name is Sadie and he can tell she’s running from a bad situation. Will she accept the clubs friendship and help or will the years of abuse at her husband’s hand cause her to fear the group and run once more.

This is such a phenomenal storyline that will touch your heart while keeping you glued to the pages. Don’t get me wrong, the men and women that make up the Broken Souls MC are not all sugar and spice. They all have their past issues and none are saints as you will see. But one thing they are is a group that will use everything in their arsonal to help those they can. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars for a book I Highly Recommend reading. You won’t regret you did.

Wow! The concept of this story is amazing, not what you would normally expect with a dark contemporary

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence. This includes domestic violence / abuse, fighting, torture, murder, etc.

It is not often that a story grabs me and won’t let go, but this one did.

You have a female, Sadie, that went through the foster care system, who marries a man that slowly isolated her with emotional abuse. It turning violent. Several years later, he takes it too far and she realizes that if she doesn’t leave now, she is going to die.

Micah was in the military and he left it after a mission went sideways. Then he caught up with a few of the people from the military and they decided to pool their funds and buy a large farm house with 200 acres and start a motorcycle club call the Broken Rebel Brotherhood to help others that needed it, most of the time dealing with domestic violence.

Sadie manages to get herself to a small town in Indiana before passing out from injuries, unfortunately she was still driving at the time. Micah spots a large object off the side of the road that shouldn’t be there, so he slows down to check it out and realizes it is a car flipped upside down. The driver is still buckled in and after they rescue her, Micah realizes that she looks vaguely familiar and that her injuries aren’t only from the car wreck ...

Micah & Sadie

Micah started an MC club for the rest of his team who'd gone through a horrible mission gone bad. Together they supported each other. They soothed their broken souls by helping their town and more deal with the abused and finding the abusers, making sure they paid the price for their cruelty. Instead of working against the police, they worked under the table for good, not always by the so-called letter of the law. Unusual in an MC club, two of their military teammates were female and became part of the MC club as well.

As president, he made sure all of his team and their victims were protected. Some of the guys had wives and even kids. No one met his needs in that way...until he found Sadie unconscious in her crashed car that was about to blow. From the moment he'd seen her broken and bleeding from more than the accident he felt more. She was why they did what they did. Would this woman be the woman for him? He could tell was beautiful despite the damage the monster had done to her.

Sadie sure didn't think she'd find a man--any man-- attractive to her, Yet she felt safe and protected when near or touching Micah. Would this MC be able to give her her life back? Would that new life they offered include Micah.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this series. The characters are great as well at the goals of the club. There is plenty of steam, emotions, and action. I'm ready for more.

Broken Souls tells a moving story centered around Micah, the president of the Broken Rebels Brotherhood (BRB), a motorcycle club made up of veterans striving to find new purpose in civilian life. Instead of merely existing, BRB members dedicate themselves to protecting and rehabilitating people in abusive situations, forging a powerful found family in the process.

The novel introduces Sadie, who grew up in foster care, always feeling out of place and facing constant loss and hardship. When Sadie marries, she hopes for stability, but her husband’s transformation into an abuser forces her to flee for her life. It’s during this desperate escape that Micah intervenes, offering not just protection but a chance at true belonging.

The chemistry between Micah and Sadie is immediate and intense, yet the relationship is far from simple. Micah’s own struggles—particularly with PTSD—are sensitively explored, adding depth to his character as an alpha male protector. Their journey together is one of mutual healing and learning to trust, set against the backdrop of a gritty, close-knit brotherhood.

Broken Souls stands out for its authentic portrayal of trauma, recovery, and the power of community. The author deftly balances romance, suspense, and emotional growth, making this a compelling read for anyone who appreciates stories about overcoming adversity and finding family where you least expect it.

A different kind of MC story that was dark, had some twists and a great story. I loved the story, plot, and characters in this story and cannot wait for the next book to come out. This was the first in a new series about a group of retired Navy SEALs who were looking for a new mission in the civilian world. They took a needed break after leaving the SEALs and their final mission that went the wrong way, but then they all came back together and started the Broken Rebel Brotherhood, an MC that works with the law, but in their own way to help those in need. If they need protection, they have it.

Sadie is at the end of her rope with her husband, she needs to get away from him or she will not see the light of the next day. With the last of her strength, she runs to save her life. However, she may end her own life when she blacks out while driving.

Micah is damaged after his final mission while serving as a SEAL and leading his team into a situation that they are all reeling from. They all have a new mission in life and are needed in their small town. They still have their demons, but their new mission in life will help a lot of people and they are able to skirt the law to save the victims that they come across. Micah is looking for more in his life but he’s afraid that his demons from his last mission as a SEAL will prevent him from finding someone to share his life with. When he happens on the car that is in the field, and finds the redhead unconscious in the front seat, something shifts inside him.

The members of the Broken Rebel Brotherhood MC are loyal to each other, tough, and are all like family. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to the next book in the series to find out what happens next. The suspense at the end of this book left me wanting the next book right now. If you are a reader who loves MC stories, but with a twist, you will not want to pass this book up.

Broken Souls
Broken Rebel Brotherhood series book 1
Release Date: January 9, 2020
Review copy provided by the publisher

This book had all the components that make up an amazing recipe for a good romance novel. In my opinion, anyways! It was full of angst, and like the title says, broken souls. And I love me some angst. The chemistry between Micah and Sadie is the epitome of insta love, but the steamy stuff is more of a slow burn. There’s a ton of sexual tension, and the build up didn’t disappoint.

The secondary characters in this book really make me anxious for the next books in this series. We were given tiny glimpses of some things to come. It was enough to get me excited!

I really liked Micah. He has a tough exterior, but he’s all mushy on the inside. He’s as loyal as the day is long. You can’t help but fall hard for him. It was good to see Sadie’s character develop and grow throughout the story. The world has shit on her more times than most people could survive, but she pushes past being a victim and comes out stronger in the end.

This is the first book I’ve read by Andi Rhodes and I’m looking forward to seeing what else she has out. Overall, this book was pretty damn good.

Andi Rhodes is a new author for me. I am always on the look out for more MC romances and this one sounded promising. They aren't a traditional MC, just a group of former military who turned themselves into a family. They ride Harley's and help victims of domestic violence in order to keep protecting people, like they have for their entire adult life. Micah on paper is the President but they don't treat him as all powerful, nor does he act like it. This is a family and while he is the head, he is not a king. Sadie has had a rough adult life and she finally found a way to escape it. Too bad her injuries cause her to crash her car in an empty field. Micah finds her and knows she needs their help. There is something about her that he just can't shake and he wants to do whatever he can to help her. Their mutual attraction and Micah's knowledge of PTSD and triggering behavior from his work really stand out for me. They don't move quickly into a physical relationship, they become friends. There were a few other surprises but I'm not going to spoil it. I am very pleased to have discovered a new author who gives her characters depth and behaviors that ring true to their personalities. I can't wait to read more from Andi Rhodes!

Wow, what a fantastic debut book! I am so looking forward to reading more from this author after such a wonderful first story.

Together as a couple they are terrific and their romance might not be everyday nor rainbows and kittens but it is real and deep.

You definitely experience a full range of emotions in this story and need to be prepared for bursts of anger to explode as well as nail biting fear that has you sitting on the edge of your seat. Great descriptions of both the characters and scenes as well as a fast paced storyline make this an entertaining and exciting book.
