Thank you to NetGalley, VIZ Media, and Paru Itagaki for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

BEASTARS Volume 10 once again blows me away. The art is fantastic and the story is dramatic. In this volume, Louis struggles with the life of being a mob king while Legoshi has a spat with a certain carnivore (the one revealed to be Tem's killer in the previous volume). Carnivores let their teeth and claws show in this one! Legoshi might not be able to tell anyone who did it

Wow! The direction of this series continues to just make me so happy. The conflict between Legoshi and Tem's Murderer continues to hear up within this volume, and we get a special moment with Haru as well. Can't wait for the next one! ...more

Some special moments happened in this installment, but it wasn’t as fulfilling as I’d hoped it would be. Most of it felt like filler. But man am I committed to this story and these characters.

This was SO GOOD. Honestly, Beastars tackles so many subjects at once, I don't see how anyone could not take an interest in it. This manga is very interesting from a vegetarian's perspective, it makes you think ;). Beastars is about ethics, one's sense of justice, adolescence, the different forms love can take, segregation and coming together, (childhood) trauma, addiction - yeah, all that! And more.

This relationship between Louis and Legosi is really something... I wonder how it's all going to

I really enjoyed this manga becasue it has similar concept to zootopia but with a darker more realistic view on the world. In the beginning of the manga the art didn’t feel professionally done but after some time the art progressesd and now it’s really good. I recommend any animal and manga lover to read this book.

3.5 star. Of course my favorite aspect of this manga is Legosi and Haru. Their relationship is crazy complex and I want to see where is goes. But the story contradicts itself an awful lot. It's honestly getting too annoying and I'm hoping it has to do with translation errors. I mean like Legosi's grandfather is a pacifist and then 2 seconds later he is spilling everyones blood. Another example is instead of calling the cops Legosi fights this bad guy and then does something else really crazy I d ...more

Not my favorite volume of the series to date, largely because it's a loose collection of character vignettes instead of plot line. We get a little more teaser of Legoshi's family, his relationship with Haru, and her relationship with Louis. As the cover shows, a certain lion features fairly prominently in one of the stories as well. Turns out it's not just carnivores doing shady things in the black market.

The art is emotive and stunning as always. This volume feels like it may have lost a little

Legoshi continues to struggle with the knowledge that Riz killed (and ate) Tem; mostly that Riz can still pretend like nothing happened, as if everything is normal. So in order to get into Riz's mindset, he eats a bug and trips balls.

Then the story gets bloody when Legoshi finally confronts Riz. In the process, Legoshi has a small revelation and we finally get to meet the grandfather we've been hearing about (and the reveal is amazing, grandpa is so cool!)

For extra fun flavor points, there's a

Couldn't get into a lot of this volume. The fight between Legoshi and Riz felt kinda off/anticlimactic to me (but I did like the little scene with the janitor trying to clean the bathroom). The Pina stuff was kinda interesting and, as always, I like any scene between Legoshi and Louis. I find them very intriguing, honestly feel more chemistry between them than Legoshi/Haru (even without Legoshi in a dress). ...more

Legoshi is growing on me as a character. I love reading how self-righteous he gets when it concerns his murdered classmate. I freaking laugh at every moment he has with his rival/friend Louis. And there was a sweet moment between Haru and Legoshi in this volume. I am ready for the big fight that is getting set up for volume 11 and am enjoying our newest character edition, Pina.

Altamente recomendable.

Every volume of this book just gets wilder and wilder. In general I appreciate that Itagaki is so committed to her vision. It always feels like she’s drawing what she wants to see first and foremost. Love her unfettered passion toward telling the stories of moody animal teenagers.

Continuing story is excellent. The plot is still building and the author as well as the art are well conceived and drawing. Overall this was a great rise to the future events that lives the reader hanging for more in future books.

Another fantastic issue. Legoshi continues to embody the feelings and mindset of a teenager as he works to try and manage training to protect all he holds close.

Now things are getting really heated up between Legosi and the killer along with a funny/serious end to this volume!
