I tried to like this book

It felt off from the get go but I really wanted to like this book. I didn't feel any chemistry, the conversations and syntax was completely unbelievable, and this story jumped all over the place. I gave up at 70% and had been skimming since 40ish%

Seriously nope.
I have no clue why you wrote this book or why you published it. The idea of the plot isn't bad, in fact I like that in this book; I gravitate towards plots like this.
That being said, the way this is written is weird. Its robotic almost stiff, the characters don't mesh well or talk with a natural flow. It all felt very stitched together and they were really all cyborgs with no emotional underlying personality.

I'm really just thankful that this book was short because another 100 pages I'd have lost my mind.
