Giles Andreae is the author of several children's books, including the best-selling Giraffes Can't Dance, illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees. He is the creator of Purple Ronnie, one of the most successfully licensed cartoon characters in his native England.

Giles lives with his wife and three children in Notting Hill, England.

One of Bud’s absolute faves. We have the original Giraffe’s Can’t Dance book which he loves, and this one uses some quotes from the original book to send a message of love and joy.

Would recommend the other book first, but this is utterly charming. Library book we would probably buy.

Update: we did buy a second hand version and it remains a lovely pre bed book to read

The book ‘Giraffe’s cant dance’ has vibrant characters which capture children’s attention. All the animals are preparing to participate in the annual dance that takes place in Africa. Giraffe wants to take part but, his knees are crooked and he has thin legs; This make dancing difficult. The other animals laugh and mock Gerald the giraffe as he enters the stage. The book is written by Giles Andreae and illustrated by Guy Parker Rees.
