Souta Takatsuki and his neighbor Rikka Amanome have been like brother and sister since they were kids, but his feelings for her run much deeper. With her birthday coming up, he wants to find the perfect gift, which presents itself in the form of a book from a mysterious shop he happens across. The owner doesn't even charge him, saying he'll return to pay eventually...Souta is wholly unprepared for the insatiable passion the book inspires in Rikka, and it seems the ultimate price of this gift may be hefty indeed...
A boy and a girl, a curse, and tons of sexy times.
I was looking around for something sexy, something with something extra and I bumped against this one. Oh my.
Two childhood friends who want more from each other get just that when the guy finds an old book at a bookstore and takes it home and recites a spell (never do this kids, even if it all sounds like a joke, as soon as you see the word summon in it or something like that, just stop and don't recite it), he gives it to the girl and she reads it as well. I instantly knew that the shopkeeper was suspicious. Come on, the book is clearly special, the woman is dressed all mysterious, and she gives it to you for free. But it isn't until later that we learn of her name and what her intentions are.
Now she has tons of lust and he is the only one who can satisfy her to make sure she returns to normal. Yes, he needs to make her cum before she is satisfied and back to normal. It is quite an interesting idea and the sexy scenes are well drawn, really, dang. *fans herself to cool off* They do all sorts of things, never go all the way, but still, there are plenty of other ways to satisfy both parties, at least later on. At first it is all about the girl causing the poor guy to have quite a bit of pain. Which then causes stress between them, but thankfully they talk it over.
I love the relationship between the boy and girl and I love that while this curse isn't always the best (because there is a twist to it) they finally get to be together and do pervy things that they always have wanted to do together (but never dared to do). It is a shame they needed this curse/this book to achieve it, but hey, whatever brings people together I guess?
HOWEVER, one minus point is the black-haired girl who is just annoying and should go away. Really, you know that they are together, you know they are having sex. Instead of dropping it you just force your way in (given that ending). I don't like characters like this. Again, I know she loves him, I know she is also interested in him. But he has a girl, and oh yes that girl is your best friend. Why would you continue like this?
I will keep on reading, but if that black-haired girl gets more attention and/or he screws both of them, I am out. I don't like that stuff at all.
Your typical monkey paw scenario (albeit one wish that was made unknowingly) with a more highly sexually charged storyline.
Story sees the main character, in love with his occult loving childhood friend, stumbling upon a strange shop he has never seen in his neighborhood before. Inside the shop is a creepy robed woman and an old tome written an unrecognizable foreign script that takes his interest as a birthday present for his childhood friend. As he goes to see about the price of the item (whom the creepy cashier lets him take on a loan... Terms for repayment not specified), he has a vision of his list filled dream scenario with his childhood friend coming on to him. Of course, the monkey paw takes effect soon after the next day, and it's more than he bargained for (tbf, he never actually asked for it, the creepy mage just reads his thoughts).
The content is extremely, and escalates in intensity over the course of the work. Readers may also be frustrated by both the main character's inability to say "I love you" to his friend / ask her out on the date he's been planning for months, and the childhood friend's inability to explain why kissing or going to the "next level" is off the table (but almost every other acion is on the table). Luckily, a few elements of this scenario do get explained and the ending of volume 1 was satisfying (and there's also an obvious, but problematic cliffhanger at the end to entice people to read V2).
I feel like this could either go really tragic or really ridiculous harem ending at the end. The one true love ending is an option too I suppose. The terms of the contract with the witch are enough so that I could imagine problematic scenarios in the future. The book also kind of spoils the other girls that may get dragged into this mess by putting an image of them at the start of the book. I didn't pay too close attention, but one of them is obvious from this volume, and I'm really curious what her monkey paw terms will be (and if the main dude is caught unawares and has to share them). Again, this could go tragic based on the terms, or perhaps more enticingly go tragic based on the jealousy of the cast if they don't feel like working together to get through this monkey paw thing. And when you're dealing with a witch who registers her terms in a dream, there's probably room for all sorts of tricks and hidden terms that could lead to issues as well.
What a lucky fellow... ah, to be young & aroused again. Youth truly is wasted on the young. While it was nowhere near this level of erotica, I've had girls all over me all the way back to grade school. I was the boy who always played on "the girl's side" because it bothered me that "the boy's side" always won. So the girls loved me. Then in junior high, all the girls loved me because my bestie was openly gay. Every single dance, every single girl demanded I dance with them. Ah, such memories. Those of you still in school, enjoy it to it's fullest (just not as fully as the protagonists in this story). Ask the girl (or boy) out. Go to all the dances. Join after school clubs. Play sports. Make as many friends as you can. Also remember to always be kind to others. Many years from now, you will look fondly back at your school days, your glory days, if you will (thank you Bruce Springsteen). These 2, well they certainly are having fun. Sucks now that they (and we) know what the restrictions are. And it looks like there's soon to be more girls "in the mood". I'm looking forward to the next volume. Such a naughty, dirty, smutty little book. I loved every minute of it! :P art, very good. Again, those Japanese & their obsession with incredibly large chests. Big ta-tas are always fun to play with, but really, there is a limit... dialogue, well, let's just say it's uh, very heartfelt & realistic & leave it at that. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, interesting.
When your best friend who you're crazy about is obsessed with occult stuff, you'd think you would know better when dangerous artifacts cross your path! But then we wouldn't have a story and where's the fun in that? There's not a ton of plot in this volume which I don't really consider a pro or con, just providing context. It was difficult to get through as some of it was a bit repetitive but I feel like that's expected from the set up. I kinda dragged my feet on this one but I do have the rest of the series as well so I'm going to give the next volume a shot eventually.
Got to admit this is pretty good. The title says it all "Lust Geass" and it's all through the book. We got demons, and spell books, and two long time friends who both love each other (c'mon now it is completely obvious from the beginning) but are to afraid to tell each other. Then both agree to demonic pacts after reading part of a book, even though they don't know each has a pact until the end of the volume. And what about that cliffhanger ending things are going to get real interesting come the next volume.
If you could finally get your deepest desire...could you own up to the consequences?
I’ve read the 2 English volumes and so far the story has hooked me. To compare it’s like everything I wanted Ichigo 100% to be...but with a lil twist. If you like lewd situations and can look pass the ages you have a the makings of a good read here.
