I picked this up because I thought it would be an interesting read for my students. Unfortunately, I found Cattani's writing to be very off-putting. Her analysis of the new teachers and their work is incredibly negative, and some of her conclusions feel like they are coming from nowhere (and she does not present research support for many of them). I must admit that I stopped at chapter one, because I just became so disgusted. Perhaps the tone improves as one continues reading, but I will not continue.
