Midnight Kiss

Rate this book
Dirty. Evil. Vile. Beautiful.

Logan Gregory is the devil in human form.

I should have stayed far away, but my weakness for evil men and a negative bank balance made him impossible to ignore.

He needed a nanny.

I needed money.

The job was simple. Our roles were clearly defined.

Then my stupid heart got involved.

We shared stolen kisses after midnight. Kisses dipped in secrets and sprinkled with lies.

They say what’s done in the dark always comes to light.

They were right.

Writer of words. Mother of Joy. Wife of Compassion. I like to write stories about real people who go through real struggles, and come out the other side stronger. I also like to write smut. Welcome to my brain. It’s a little screwed up, but always well intended.

5 Deal with the Devil Stars ⭐

Midnight Kiss was just phenomenal. To clarify, if you're a reader who loves an erotic romance with an age gap, rip my panty scenes and an asshole hero, you seriously should consider this book. In fact, it was deliciously dirty, morally wrong and extremely enjoyable.... Evidently this book isn't for everyone, but I absolutely loved it.

Disgraced and now starting over in a new town, Emma is barely making ends meet by working at Brighton Steak & Brew. Juggling college and waitressing is tough and accepting a nanny job for the Devil himself is pure insanity. But it’s either that or returning home to face the music…

Logan Gregory is self-made, jaded and a complete deviant. Now divorced and a single dad, he has no intention of ever falling in love again. But lust is impossible to resist. Especially the blonde that calls to him like a siren. And what he wants, he gets, and everybody has a price including Emma.

“I bet you taste as innocent as you look.” The dirty words he’d whispered in my ear play on loop in my brain.

“I bet you take a cock like a pro.”

Dirty. Evil. Vile. Beautiful.

Between the money issues and the sizzling chemistry, can Emma commit to looking after Logan’s daughter Chelsea and offer herself as a sacrificial lamb? Because Logan wants total dominance and submission from her. Essentially her soul.

“What, exactly, is it that you’re proposing?” she whispers around the rim of the glass.

“I want to pay you to take care of my daughter by day and my cock by night.”

Carmel Rhodes you dirty minx, how I love thee! This happens to be one of my favourite reads in a long while. You managed to capture my imagination with a hero and heroine that are seriously broken, and both scarred by their pasts. A toxic relationship that mends their hearts and a little girl who stole the show with her sweetness and sass. Cough Cough, the sex scenes were scorching, and you have one happy reader!

His eyes shine bright with lust. His plush mouth is slack from pleasure. Pride swells in my chest. I did that. One of the most powerful men in Brighton, the biggest asshole for sure, completely undone, by me.

3.75 ‘Little Mouse’ 🌟

Review
Logan Gregory is a single dad in his thirties raising a very adorable and bubbly three-year-old Chelsea with the help of his live-in nanny. Things are smooth until they are not when his live-in nanny needs to leave for a couple of months leaving Logan scrambling to find a short-term replacement. His prayers are answered while also awaking his past demons during his chance encounter with Emma Russo at the restaurant that she works at.

Chelsea: “Daddy…Can Little Mouse help us finish the silly spaghetti?”
Logan: “Her name is Ms. Emma.”
Chelsea: “But you said Little Mouse?”
Emma: “Your daddy is a really busy man and sometimes he forgets small details, like my name or his manners.”

Emma is nineteen and barely able to make ends meet financially in a new town after being disowned by her family due to her haunting past. During Logan and Emma’s first heated encounter, it is clear that Logan despises Emma because she looks like Noelle, Chelsea’s mom who walked out on him when Chelsea was an infant. Emma is unaware of this so she is naturally confused by his mean and cold demeanor, but she can’t refuse when Logan makes a very financially sound offer.

“This isn’t some great romance. I will not shower you with gifts or fill your head with false promises. I’m the beast. I will tie you up and use you for my pleasure.”

Logan proposes Emma to nanny Chelsea during the days and warm his bed during nights for a stable salary and a place to live. This proposition stands as very rocky start to their fiery hot physical relationship. Logan defines their arrangement with clear boundaries to avoid attachment, but soon they are both struggling to remember the boundaries.

This girl deserves the world, and here I am offering nothing but midnight kisses, tainted by bitter memories of my past. Cloaked in darkness, my demons don’t seem as insurmountable, but I know the truth.

I just knew I had to read more of Ms. Rhodes work after reading Truly so I immediately picked up this book and devoured it in a single sitting. The push and pull between Logan and Emma was addictive, the chemistry between them was blazing and palpable, and the steam level was strong! Needless to say, I devoured this book and enjoyed it immensely, but similar to Truly, I would prefer the books to be a tad bit longer so the plot can be more fleshed out and characters more defined. Overall, the book was great, and I would recommend this book for age-gap and enemies to lovers romance fans!

In that moment, I vow to be better for her. I can’t erase her firsts, not even sure I want to. They turned her into the woman she is today. But I can guarantee her lasts.
Last first kiss. Mine.
Last first date. Mine.
Last name. Mine.

"Feelings were never supposed to be involved."
Yes! Trashy romance at its absolute best - loved it!
"You're not going to take no for an answer, are you?"

He shrugs, tucking his hands into his pockets. "When I'm finished with you, you'll be screaming yes."
Midnight Kiss was a pleasure to read, a rare combination of dirty and clever. I really liked the way the author staged the story and then executed it without throwing me over the misogyny line into DNF territory.
The change is subtle, just an adjustment in posture, and a drop in tone is all it takes for me to go from feeling like his equal to his property.
Yes, Logan was a douche in the beginning.
I take what I want because the world has never had a problem taking from me.
But he came around.
Logan came to my room after midnight and fucked me slow. It felt like an apology, and I came hard on his dick, my way of accepting.
The story actually finished on a very sweet note that I was so pleased with. My only complaint is that I needed more scenes - filthy and otherwise - to further flesh out the plot.

If quick and dirty is your thing, I highly recommend!

Was Logan evil? No.
Was he filthy? Hell yes.
My heart skipped a beat when I read some of the dirty things he’s said. I absolutely adored him and Emma. So recommend if you’re looking to read romance with an age gap. This is now a favorite of mine!!!

3.5 stars. This was a pretty cute short read.

Only gripes are that we start the story after the couple has already met and slept together which for me is my favorite part of romances. I love first meetings and impressions and the sexual tension that goes with it so I felt a bit ripped off here.

The second gripe is that I felt irked by the fact she is the doppelganger of his ex wife, I just couldn't really see how that could not be an issue and it felt a bit like she was 2nd place or a replacement.

I still enjoyed it and I'm keen to check out more work by this author as long as it's not bully stuff as I just couldn't get onboard with Truly.

If there’s one thing people know about me: it’s that I love forbidden romances.

Oh and that I’ll read anything Carmel Rhodes writes.

Okay so I guess that’s two things?

Anywho, Carmel weaves this sexy af tale between Logan Gregory and his daughter’s babysitter— a wounded princess who was escaping her previous life of scandal and pain.

From the moment they meet... well technically they meet one night in a moment of passion before the story starts soooo the sexual tension crackles between them from the second the reader meets them. But they are FIRE.

Carmel Rhodes has this way (and if you’re familiar with her work you know she does this phenomenally) of making her characters fall in love before they even realize it. It’s so effortless and natural, you believe their love story wholeheartedly. The banter, the looks across the room, the quiet touches that happen in the dead of night. Emma and Logan’s story is as emotional and beautiful as it is sexy and forbidden and enticing.

This review wouldn’t be complete without the girl that stole the show. Every scene with Chelsea, Logan’s sweet daughter was perfection. I found myself cracking up at all her one liners and sassy comments!

I’m so loving this universe Carmel Rhodes has created and I LOVED the glimpses of Cherry and Cash and the preview of what’s to come for the Brighton crew!

Five stars!

Love this spicy age gap!

“THEY CALL ME THE DEVIL, which is ironic, considering my brother is a priest.”

Logan Gregory is every kind of filthy Alpha-hole I crave in a man, and especially an age gap. He’s a single father and watching him with his daughter just upped the hotness. Logan & Emma’s chemistry made my tummy ache in a good way. Throw in a few secrets and lies and it gets more juicy.

This is just the story I needed right now!

“This girl deserves the world, and here I am offering nothing but midnight kisses, tainted by bitter memories of my past. Cloaked in darkness, my demons don’t seem as insurmountable, but I know the truth.”

And the truth came crashing in like a wrecking ball. So freakin delicious this story was!

THIS BOOK WAS SOOOOO GOOD!! Y’all All I knew about this book was that it was a single dad and I really thought it was going to be sweet and beautiful—WHICH IT WAS—but excuse me, this book was dirty. I was here for it.

The chemistry between these two was on another level. The fact that Logan was a put together, amazing dad, and dirty as heck made him such a heartthrob. He was so precious when they did have their sweet moments and his moments with his daughter melted my heart. 😭

Emma is a freakin fighter. Everything she overcame and still felt like she couldn’t escape from her past, makes my heart cry for her. I love the way she cares and keeps fighting. Oh and the way she treats chels. They’re whole dynamic and obsession with Bobby Flay is so cute.

There was so much more to this story than what I was expecting and I loved every page of it. If you like dominant and single dad hero’s this book is for you.

I can’t wait to read his brothers book. I’m patiently waiting for his book. Eeek.

Midnight Kiss was my first book by Carmel Rhodes but definitely not my last. First let me start by saying that when I started this book I didn't think I would continue. Emma left her hometown because of a scandal and when I found out what the scandal was I didn't think I could like her. Logan's situation was the same for me, I didn't like the reason why he wanted Emma so badly. But before I knew it the story took hold and I couldn't put it down and I actually loved it. Emma was a great character and as her past is reveled in flash backs you can't help the heartbreak you feel. She was young, naive and definitely taken advantage of. Her connection to Logan was instant and the chemistry was off the charts hot. I loved them together even when he's a total jerk. His young daughter Chelsea was absolutely adorable and as his situation came to light I was heartbroken for them too. Overall Midnight Kiss was a winner for me and I can't wait to go back and read Cherry Bomb.

Logan Gregory is just as described. Evil, horribly vile, bordering on cruel. But he’s also gorgeous, deliciously dirty and will melt you right into a puddle of googly eyes and sweet fantasies when you see him with his little girl. What a horrible combination for any woman’s poor heart and panties, they don’t stand a chance.

I mean who can blame you really , not surprising if the lines start to blur. So, He laid down the rules, he drew the lines and made sure there was no room for errors or misunderstandings. But who’s to say… would he be able to follow his own rules? The green eyed-monster is an ugly thing that gets a hold of us all! What about Emma ?!?! What would you do if you saw glimpses of a good guy beneath the deplorable guy he wanted you to see? When secrets come out, will Logan lose everything he didn’t know he even wanted?

Emma was just looking for a fresh start. She came to Brighton U because no one knew her, or her past. The pretty princess exiled to escape her past. She just wanted to live a drama free existence. She needed money. Logan Gregory offered her a nanny job with additional job responsibilities after hours for more money that she could imagine. But was it worth the money or the risk to her heart? She had no one to help her. His daughter was adorable so that part of the job was a no-brainer. She wanted to care for Chelsea and do all the fun things that that entailed. But what would she do about some of the more unorthodox job responsibilities he was asking of her? It was obvious her and Logan were immensely attracted to each other, so why not enter into an agreement that would benefit them both as long as feelings didn’t get in the way?

Emma had been through a lot in her past and my heart broke for her. It wasn’t fair how she had been treated and left to deal with the fall-out of what had happened in the past. I loved her character though. She was strong and resilient. The way she handled Logan was nothing short of perfection. She was sassy and verbally sparred with him. It was hot and filled with sexual tension. I loved that she stood up to him. She was the perfect balance for this intimidating businessman.

But how will our sweet and sassy Nanny handle it when she feels like the past is repeating itself?

Chelsea was the absolute cutest kid ever. I lived for any scene where she was present. She was a feisty little mini Logan and she was already putting boys in their place. Lol This book has everything you could possibly want. This is a must read for age-gap and single dad romance fans both!!

So the Brighton series focuses on Logan and Emma this time (side characters from Cherry Bomb). After loving Cherry Bomb too much I directly jumped into this one. Unfortunately, I didn't get what I expected.

WHY?

*Logan is too much, yes I was aware of his character when I was reading Cherry Bomb but I was thinking that his nuisance was only a mask and behind it, he was a mysterious and attractive man but apparently, it wasn't, he is indeed very annoying. Add creepiness to the super dominant alpha-hole there you get = Logan

*Logan,38 is suuper dominating and possessive while Emma, 19 is suuper sweet, nice, trusting and gentle. (As always I like the heroine more). It was too much of dom-sub for me, and I just couldn't enjoy it.

*I wasn't really into their chemistry nor the sex scenes.

*Logan calls Emma ''Little Mouse'' Excuse me, but do I need to find this attractive, sexy, or whatever? SORRY, but I am completely turned off. EW. CREEEPY...

*This book has a parallel timeline to Cherry Bomb, and there are scenes that inconsistent with that book (Some scenes when Emma was staying at Cherry's place) - and I am TOTALLY ANNOYED. Miss Rhodes, okay let's say you forgot or confused but couldn't you just read your own book one more time to check/correct or whatever to prevent this paradox?

*The story of Logan's ex-wife: MEEEEEH! WHATEVER.

*YAY(!) Big happily after for another selfless innocent teen girl and her possessive alpha knight.

FOOTNOTES:

Some might find Emma so submissive and naive, but in this kind of abusive relationship I always blame the abuser, yes she can stand up too (I really wish she could) but wouldn't be better if the abuser was not the abuser at all?
SO, THIS IS MY GENERAL STATEMENT, I think this is a FALSE ADVERTISEMENT because basically, this relationship here is a TOXIC kind that includes a MANIPULATIVE and ABUSIVE partner who is probably MENTALLY ILL. (And his type is very common in this kind of ''romance-books''.) Yes, his kind of men become all so SWEET, CARING, and NICE in the end, but it's only POSSIBLE in fiction. I seriously think all these kinds of books should be shelved only as FANTASY.
Maybe in the future instead of his type more modern, healthy, feminist men as leads? Huh? Why not?

BUT, NOT ALL BAD

*It's a short and easy read. Likable in general too.

*I like Emma, she is sweet and loveable.

*The softer/nicer Logan becomes, the more I like him and the book.

*After some time, Logan actually becomes likable. He becomes OKAY, let's say. But one more time, this man can become this NICE only in a FANTASY. And this is a FANTASY so, dear Logan and Emma, I wish you your happily ever after...

*I am still curious about Jax and Arden's story so I will be reading the series.

Cherry Bomb (Book One, intertwined storylines, but standalones) REVIEW

“I have a weakness for evil men.” DON’T WE ALL?!?
*read on KU on Amazon. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Logan Gregory is the devil. And Emma has a lot of secrets. She needed the money. She took a job. Boss and employee; they each had their role. Until the lines blurred. Until the lines blurred and revealed and truths came out to play.

This is my second Carmel Rhodes read. Picking up with characters from Cherry Bomb, I was IMMEDIATELY hooked. Logan is a different beast than Cash, but, nonetheless, hellishly hot. His relationship with Chelsea had my heart melting. Emma has a loaded past. She keeps her heavy baggage a secret and she carries the weight all on her own. She was admirable. Her hook-up-ship with the boss was swoon-worthy (if you roll that way). The story was fast-paced and the drama was striking. Once again, the banter/chatter of the characters was hilarious.
And then, there’s a plot twist. I did NOT even think of that possibility.
I recommend this to saucy age gap lovers, devil leading men worshippers and people who like it when all isn’t as it seems.

Logan and Emma

3.75 stars

I feel like there were some missing pages in this book as far as the set up. Emma looks like Logan’s former wife Noelle. He wants to use Emma to hate fk Noelle out of his system. He hires 19yo Emma to Nanny his 3 yo daughter by day and be his sex toy at night. This is pretty much a grumpy sunshine book. There’s smutty times and family time. They have a little roadblock but live hea.

description

Midnight Kiss by Carmel Rhodes is a beautifully captivating love story that has stolen every inch of my soul and left me completely breathless as I inhaled all the words. Emma Russo and Logan Gregory are two lost and broken souls that are struggling to let go of their complicated pasts that are standing in the way of their happily ever after. My heart ached from each moment these two shared and I absolutely adored EVERYTHING about them, from their undeniable connection to their hot and heavy midnight kisses.

Forbidden romances are my ultimate obsession and damn did this author deliver everything I wanted. Emma and Logan captured my attention when I first met them in Cherry Bomb, but they managed to wholeheartedly captivate my heart, body, and soul. Their story spoke to me and I found myself falling head over heels in love with every part of them. Oh and did I mention that little Chelsea Gregory (Logan's daughter) completely stole the show. She shined in every scene she was part of and Logan as a father gave me major DILF vibes. He was so freaking HAWT and I wish I could have my very on version of him in real life!

Carmel Rhodes made this story so much more than just a single dad falling for the nanny romance. She gave their story layers and gave us some unpredictable moments that had me on the edge of my seat. I devoured this story in one sitting because the second I got my hands on this story I couldn't put it down. Now I cannot wait for the next book in this interconnected standalone series, especially if it's about a certain Father Gregory and his best friend's little girl...

Ooh this book was so much more than I had expected, and I mean that in a really good way. If you read Cherry Bomb that you have already met Logan, which also means that you know how much an evil jerk he really is. While he still is the jerk that we first met, I could not help falling for him!! What can I say, the jerk captured my heart. I mean he is a single dad who has a loving and adorable relationship with his daughter. Then you throw in that fact that his sexiness will have you melting, and I was a complete goner.

Logan needs a nanny for the next two months and Emma needs the money. But Logan isn’t just looking for a nanny, he has another offer for Emma. It’s an offer that she is not sure she wants but saying no means that she is also refusing the job as a nanny as well. One cannot be accepted without the other. She’s not sure that she can give Logan what he wants and needs. Shes not sure that she will be able to walk away with her heart intact.

Emma has a past that she has run from. Logan has his own issues that he is still dealing with and having a hard time moving on. They have a sexual connection that is so hot and so intense. They hold onto their secrets tightly, not wanting the other to know. They are careful not to cross any lines. There is no doubt that these two care for each other, that what may have started out as nothing more than just a physical connection, has no become even more complicated, because feelings have been added to the mix. When the lies and secrets begin to come out will they both be able to survive what comes next?

I loved this book!!! I cannot begin to explain how much this book shocked me. I did not see it coming at all, but I loved every part of it. It was in no way predictable and it just took the sexiness to the next level. Logan is a dirty talking, sexy asshole who I could not help fall for. Emma is a sassy girl who does not give in so easily and doesn’t know how to not say what’s on her mind. Together they were just perfect. I felt the chemistry and the connection between them. The way Logan was with his daughter will melt your heart. The bond that Emma formed with his daughter will make you smile. I loved every part of this book and devoured it in a few hours. It was so so good!!! I am hoping that we get more of these characters, and I especially want to know what is going on with Arden and Jax.

WOWOWOW!! Where do I even start with this review?! First off, let me just tell y’all how much I LOVE Carmel and her novels!! I have been anticipating Midnight Kiss for months and it definitely did not disappoint! Words cannot describe how much I loved this one!!

This is Logan and Emma’s story. After reading Cherry Bomb I knew that I needed to read more about them! Logan hires Emma to be his daughter’s nanny and gives her an ultimatum that she can’t refuse. Logan is very clear and honest about what he expects out of this relationship, however, after a couple of encounters, lines start to get blurred and they start to develop deeper feelings for each other.

"You want to know what happens when my nanny comes back? I keep you."

I really really loved Emma’s character. She is the epitome of what it means for someone to not be defined by their past. She was a strong heroine who knew how to stick up for herself. I also loved her relationship with Logan’s daughter, Chelsea. They had the cutest relationship! Logan. ugh SWOON!!! I just loved him sooo much (alpha assholes are my weakness) and his interactions with his daughter were precious! Just like Emma, Logan has a past of his own. A secret that may make or break them as a couple. But in the end, they realize that their love is stronger and they get their HEA!

I loved this just as much (honestly, maybe even more than) Cherry Bomb! I was so happy to see Cash and Cherry make an appearance throughout this book!! I loved Emma and Logan’s sexual tension and their steamy scenes were H O T . I literally felt like I was sweating when I read their scenes 🥵 I love Carmel’s writing and her ability to make me never want to put her books down. Seriously guys, I read this whole thing in less than two hours… LOL! I cannot wait for her next book. Crossing my fingers that it’s going to be Jax and Arden’s!!!! (PLEASE CARMEL IM BEGGING YOU!!)

"…but I want you to know how serious I am about you, and only you. I want you to know that I love you.”

5/5 - Sexy and satisfying read!! Single older dad x college age nanny....

Carmel Rhodes writes the kinds of books I love to read. Everything flows so easily. The story is both intensely erotic and romantic at the same time. The angst doesn’t drown out the love story, it’s there for a reason not just to be angsty — and for what it’s worth angst is mild. Another reason why I love her stories.

Midnight Kiss is no exception to perfect storytelling. Logan and Emma are characters we met in Cherry Bomb. Logan was an asshole, IS an asshole, but he has reasons. And even in his most aggressive assholishness he’s still hilarious. Emma, works at the steakhouse with Cherry. She’s meek and timid and when she meets Logan for the first time he’s so mean to her, but for reasons.

This book explains Emma’s backstory. It is well thought out and heartbreaking. Logan’s backstory is soul crushing. They are both portrayed as versions of themselves from the past instead of who they are now.

The romance story in this book was so satisfying. I loved reading how these two characters find themselves and their way back to each other. And 11/10 to Chelsea, the coolest 3 year old... almost 4 year old — ever. Also, thumbs up for the Bobby Flay worship.

Lastly, this book overlaps Cherry Bomb. So while reading this book you’ll see events from the previous book from a different POV. I liked that technique.

FYI:

Sexy times are scorching hot!!

Manual, oral & rimming, vaginal, anal sex. Anal play (plug), exhibitionism, rough sex. All consensual.

Now this... much better than Cherry bomb.

Unlike Cherry, Em was less whiny and immature. She had her moments- but those moments aligned with her age. I wish we would’ve gotten some answers to some things presented. Like the Roger situation, Lenny, did Em and her parents ever reconcile?! Either way- the struggles Em had made sense. And yet it didn’t come across as her full identity. Which is opposite of destructive Cherry.

I really enjoyed these characters! And Chels...she was the perfect addition.

Hopefully, Ardean and Jax’s story won’t be much longer. I can’t wait to see what Carmel do with these characters.

Although you don't have to read Cherry Bomb first, I would highly recommend it when going into Midnight Kiss!

Not going to lie, I was DYINNNNNNNNNG for Emma & Logan's story! Their chemistry is off the charts hot and I really enjoyed learning about their back ground stories.

This story was everything I wanted and more, the push and pull, the sexiness, the hotness and moments that will definitely make you blush!

Logan is even hotter when you see how he is with his daughter, Midnight Kiss is perfect!

Oh my goooossshhh! Midnight Kiss was a book I devoured in one sitting. Single dad—check, adorable child—check, older man—check, nanny—check. Those are some of my favorite elements in a story. Then, you add in Logan and Emma’s personalities. The one thing I absolutely LOVE about this author’s writing is how she creates 3-dimensional characters who are perfectly imperfect. They both go through a journey to grow, and in the end it makes the pay-off much sweeter. Midnight Kiss is one of my favorites of 2019. Trust me you need this beautiful story.

When Carmel has a new release... I’m all about it. She creates these worlds and characters that just want to make you be right there in it.

Her words pull you in. The characters make you stay. The emotions are you fell on the journey will stay with you after the epilogues are over.

Midnight Kiss is the second standalone in the Brighton Brew series (Cherry Bomb being the first). You’ve met Logan and Emma in the first one and well, this one is their intense story.

Logan is vile. An asshole. He owns it. However, the scenes with his daughter and his hard as hell walls slowly coming down.... he’s a hothole. He goes for what he wants even when he’s torturing himself with it.

Emma is new to Brighton. Running away to start over. But what happens when history repeats itself? Emma’s development in the story was nice to see. From timid and meek to strong and bold. She transforms into young woman who knows what she wants and how to deal with it.

Secrets and lies.
Angsty and sexy.
Love and hate.
Carmel knows exactly the right combination of these things to make the most amazing, page turning story you will read.

Following on from Cherry Bomb is Midnight Kiss, Logan and Emma's story. After a drunken one night stand the pair cant seem to forget each pother. Logan needs a temporary nanny for his daughter and makes Emma an offer she cant refuse. Their relationship starts with strict guidelines but these soon begin to blur, as well as their pasts which hold them both back.
I have to say that Carmel Rhodes is one of my favorite authors and i do tend to get a little excited when a new book of hers arrives on my kindle. The relationship between Logan and Emma is intense, but their relationship works despite the pain in their pasts. Plus i absolutely love Chelsea, Logan's 3 almost 4 year old daughter.
I cant wait to see what comes next and i definitely have my fingers crossed for Jax and Arden!!!

3.5 stars!

Emma, disgraced and broken, has moved to a new place where no one knows her. She has little to her name and desperately needs money. Lucky for her, Logan needs a nanny for his daughter Chelsea (who is cute as a button) and Emma is perfect for the job. But being a nanny isn't all Logan wants from Emma.

Logan knew having Emma as his nanny without touching her would be impossible so he offered a proposition. Nanny during the day...and a sex goddess in his bed at night.

Both Emma and Logan have skeletons and when their simple arrangement starts to get blurred with feelings and connection neither are sure what to do. When their fears and secrets come to the light, will they still be standing as a couple?

I liked this story. It was short and sexy and I loved the dominant/submissive vibes. Logan, despite being an asshole at times, was swoony and I liked that he didn't shy away from his revelations regarding the connection he felt for Emma.

“I may never be the man who writes you poetry,” I whisper into her ear, “but I will always be the man you can count on. I’ll be your steady. Always.”

Emma was a good character too and after all she's been through I applaud her for digging herself out of that pit and finding her strength.

Logan and Emma were so hot together and this story definitely had some great twists and turns but the angst factor at the end needed to be dragged out a little more. I needed some more groveling on Logan's end or for Emma to make him work more for her trust again. The story itself would have benefitted from being a little longer. Overall, a smutty and fun read.

Well, that was unexpected for me.

I’m not usually a fan of age gaps with the nanny trope, but holy wow, this was just enough of sexy and taboo to make it work for me. Of course, the whole situation (or situations) was all messed up, but it worked.

I like when an author can involve a child’s innocence to balance some of the guilty parts as well. The HEA was nice. A bit typical, but I like how Emma is still nurturing herself. It’s why she left her hometown and it’s just shows that escaping can be a step.

A hot read.

Logan and Emma K-I-s-s-I-n-g

Ahh! When I read cherry bomb I knew I needed Emma and Logan’s story. What I didn’t realize was how much I was going to love it! This story surpassed everything I thought I wanted in their story. Drama, lies, the cutest three almost four year old and of course sexy times!

If Logan was taken by Princess Emma and Little Miss Chelsea I would be knocking on his door and say “yes sir!”

Midnight Kiss

Thank you for pouring your heart out in this story. You can really feel the heartbreak of both Logan and Emma and all they've been through. Loved how controlling and demanding Logan was and took what he wanted! Emma was great and finally show how strong she was after everything she'd been through. Well done! This is a definite recommend.

3.75⭐

Loved this one than the first book! Loved the writing style of the author. Loved the chemistry between Logan and Emma. Loved the relationship between Logan and his daughter.

Would actually give it 4 stars or more if only it has more grovelling. Plus it's so short, I want more!
