I really enjoyed this book, and it was a great ending to this series. You can always expect a well crafted mystery from Amy K Rognlie, with multiple moving pieces that you aren't quite sure how it'll connect until the end. Like that crow. I did not figure it out until the end. Combined with truths that for me at least, were things I needed to hear. If you haven't read this series yet, add it to your list.

Callie Erickson has her hands full helping Aunt Dot prepare for her wedding to Harry, not to mention running her florist shop and bookstore, C. Willikers, and focusing on her relationship with law enforcement officer, Todd.

A series of events lead to Callie becoming the prime suspect in a local murder. There are numerous twists and turns, including the sudden disappearance of her missionary parents. This is book number 3 in the Short Creek Mysteries series. The book could stand alone, but if you

A great mystery!

I'm excited to have found another great author to follow!

To Err is Human is one of the best mysteries I have read. It seems like many I have read lately don't give enough clues for me to solve the mystery on my own. Not so with this story. The clues were dropped occasionally and I did figure out many of the details though I did miss a few along the way. Then again, Callie was on the wrong track for a while, so I was in good company. While I did accurately identify the murderer

Aside from the fact that Callie has a natural curiosity that causes her to want answers, somehow trouble seems to always be waiting just around the corner for her. I am not suggesting that she goes looking for trouble. However, if trouble is brewing, she manages to get in the middle of it. In this particular story, she simply lets her pugs out into the back yard to do what dogs do. The dogs head to the neighbor’s back yard instead, refusing to come back when she calls them. She goes to retrieve ...more

The final book in the Short Creek Mystery series is, in my opinion, the best. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed the others and I’m sorry to see the end. However something about this book really drew me in from page one.

Filled with warmth and caring, but not mushy or patronizing, the characters in this story are not only well developed but so true to life that you’ll want to spend time with them. Well, with most of them. I love Aunt Dot and Harry but there are a couple people you’ll want

This is a wonderful book. It is well written and full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. It is a good clean book that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I hate to see this series end, but I'm excited to see what this author writes next. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review all opinions expressed are my own.

If you like a good, clean murder mystery/romance, this book is for you!

I will start by saying this is the third book in a series. However, this is the only one I have read thus far and it did stand alone though several references were made to the earlier books. It was so good, now I’ll need to go back and read the first two books.

Callie can’t seem to have things go her way. She arrives at her shop to find her best friend, Mona, there telling her someone stole her prized roses from the garden.

I really enjoyed the third book in this series. The characters were colorful and delightful, the plot twists unexpected, and I could not figure out the mystery! It was a lot of fun to read, but it also was very thought-provoking. At critical moments, the characters would remind each other of what really mattered with scripture and wise words from famous people. It was a rewarding read in every way!
