What do you do when forever unravels?

Laurel Tremain never imagined when she ousted Everett Montgomery from student council that she would lose her heart to the arrogant, but oh-so-charming jock. That was the moment their love story began and flourished into a forever kind of love.

But a tragic accident the night before their wedding leaves Laurel broken, unable to give Eve

I have been loving this Love Under Wraps series. The first two books were SO good. I struggled with this one though and I really hate to say that. I'm going to go with the good and the not so good for me. This book is written in alternating perspectives and jumps back and forth through time. Just make sure to pay attention to the dates to keep everything straight! Oh, and this book is Looooooong. Over 350 pages.

The good: I feel like I really knew the characters- their motivations, their struggle

A Romance Interrupted

A tragic accident interrupts a tender love story, leaving both parties reeling from the aftermath for years in this epic romance that will leave you rooting for true love to triumph.

Keep in mind, the title accurately depicts the storyline-and what a wrinkle it is.

It’s so much more than a little wrinkle that can easily be smoothed out. Instead, the couple will endure the refiner’s fire and learn to fight for their love, while showing respect for the other’s decisions and cho

She's on her way to becoming an Olympian, he's on his way to being an attorney and they are on their way to a happily ever after together when tradgedy strikes and it all falls apart. This is definitely not a traditional love story, but a very compelling story that keeps you involved through every page of the book. This is a very interesting and entertaining book. The style of writing was unique and really draws you in. While following the path through the current time events, you flash back to ...more

Will they or won't they is always the question in romance novels, but this one takes some great twists and turns and nicely explores deeper issues including depression, alcoholism, and recovery after physical trauma. As always, Stastny's prose is fluid and crisp, making for an engaging read. ...more

This book was received as an ARC from Tangled Willow Press in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was reluctant to read this book at first because it was a romance novel and most of the romance novels I read are very predictable. This book however, was not in the slightest bit predictable which made me love it even more. Laurel and Everett have known one another but only know what they see or hear about eachother and Laurel is thi

Life is about choices. Choices we make ourselves and choices others make for us. Those choices can change our lives. Some for the better and others for worse, much worse. Choices can be life altering. This book, A Wrinkle in Forever' does just that. Lives not only are changed but traumatized by choices. This book is a journey. As the title suggests, it's a journey to forever and the road is long, curvy with many forks. It reminds me of the famous poem, The Road Not Taken. Just how would things b ...more

Everett and Laurel are friends first before there is any type of romance between them. An accident changes everything. Laurel makes the best decision she is capable of making, even though it breaks her heart. And Rett makes some incredibly hard decisions as well. This book is a complete roller coaster of emotions, and draining at times. I had some trouble keeping up in the beginning, with the constant changes of dates. It took longer to read than I expected, mostly because I had to take breaks t ...more

Be still, my heart. When I requested this title on NetGalley, I thought it was going to be a light romance, but it was SO. MUCH. MORE. A Wrinkle in Forever follows Everett and Laurel as they navigate the challenges life bestows upon us. The story spans two decades; told both chronologically and via a series of flashbacks. As a reader, I've found that it can at times be difficult to remain fully engaged when a story timeline moves around, but Stastny wove an elegant tapestry of love, life, and lo ...more

The blurb for this book was intriguing. I liked the story line and it was well-plotted. Unfortunately, it was also very cliché and melodramatic. The dialog when the H/h were teenagers was cringe-worthy. They separated when they were young adults and once their reunion took place 11 years later, it appeared that none of the characters matured beyond adolescence. All of the drama surrounding Laurel, Rett, and Gianna had the look and feel of contrived plot points. There were no characters, only car ...more

This is one of those books that pulls you in, takes you on an emotional rollercoaster making you laugh, cry and possibly have to put the book aside to catch your breath.
One of those books that stays with you long after you’ve read it.

This book was a whirlwind of emotions. Past and present intertwined. High school and college and adulthood. The highs of love and the lows of tragedy and depression. I can’t even describe the depth of this book. There are no words. It was simply superb. But there wasn’t anything simple about this book. It was complex and drew you in. I ached and cried and felt butterflies and joy. Sorrow and pain and regret. Moral dilemmas. The book made you live it all. When you are looking for a book to make y ...more

I loved this book. I love any book with flawed characters. You know where it is going if you know the storyline of Jane Eyre, but what a ride! So emotional. So sweet and so sad. The bouncing back and forth between viewpoints and memories vs. present day made it easy to get in the characters' heads. Highly recommend.

Young love which shown such promise until it changes on the eve ofmtheir wedding when they were in a car accident which left Laurel paralyzed. Everett grew up in a home where he was made to feel that he was never enough. He came from wealth but wanted only love. Laurel had the perfect family with tons of support. Their story was beautiful and terribly tragic. Every time they seemed to be able to find their happy place, it was taken from them or offered up selflessly to help another. It took them over a decade to find their forever happy ending.

There is a lot going on in this story: drug addiction, sex, betrayal, pain, suffering, depre

Waiting forever for true love

An innocent beginning -- Laurel, a sophomore at a new school, recommending that Everett, a senior jock, be removed from the student council presidency since he seems to be disinterested in the position -- leads to friendship and then love for the two. First however, they must go through accidents, disappointments, miscommunication, separation, and interference from others before they reach their happily ever after moment. Flashbacks and present day chapters with alt

I’m not sure if I have words for how I feel about this one. It does have a HEA but to get their I wasn’t sure it was going to happen. Laurel and Everett meet in high school. The popular rich jock and the new girl. They are not suppose to be together but that doesn’t stop after from trying. The book starts with changes times. You’re going back and forth in their history until you end up with them being adults. It’s good and I think it’s a little bit harder on the emotions because it’s real. It ju ...more

Unbelievably hard to put down

I could not put this book down!!
I went through a rainbow of emotions reading this book. The characters made me want to punch them. I yelled at my Kindle, hoping the main female and male could hear me and listen. The storyline touches many negative aspects of human nature and what happens if we travel a road veering off so far that fighting to get on track seems like a daunting task. The mind as you know, is a powerful thing. The author sure did a great job weaving em

The first half of the book had my undivided attention and I was riveted to Laurel and Rett’s story. I especially loved how the author went back and forth in time to move the story along. Then, the story just went off the rails. The character’s behaviors didn’t track with their past behaviors and story elements were randomly added. I can’t remember the last time I have been so utterly disappointed.

Hop in, sit down and fasten your seat belt, this story is going to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride! This story will pull you in and have you laughing, crying and feeling all the emotions. Choices made in the past can have a ripple effect long in to the future and to more than just the person making the choice. a good second chance at love story.

Could not put this one down!

I could not put this book down! The story was wonderfully woven between memories and a present-day storyline. The content is more suitable for older readers, as it deals with several complex issues including disability, sexual assault, addiction, and abortion. The romance was sweet and not explicit. I would rate this pg-13 for the content mentioned above and mild language.

Caught between duty and desire, longing and loyalty, Laurel and Everett fight for their forever. But will it be enough? Well written, intriguing, and a tad cliche second chance romance that follows the storyline to a tee.

Honestly I couldn't finish this book, made it 75% in and threw in the towel.
The dialog, especially when "Ever" and "Laurel-leaf" were teenagers was horrible! No one talks like that. It was very juvenile, and written in a way where I had no emotional connection to any of the characters and couldn't care less what the outcome was. I ended up reading a review that told me how it ended and am glad I didnt waste my time.

Roller coaster ride!

This book was intense! I think this author did a great job showing us how life is hard and takes us on roads we don’t expect! I won’t spoil it for you, but enjoy the ride! And oh the swooni-ness!

This one is 4 1/2 stars! It had a little too much innuendo for my taste. PG-13 for those who care.

I really wanted to enjoy this book because iLove books that have 2nd Chance romances plus they were high school sweethearts! I just really didn’t enjoy the writing style of the book and I found the plot to be a little over the top. Then they also brought in some plot conveniences that were just not fair to the characters at all.
